It’s a calendar function! In the US it is our second July New Moon. A second one in a month is called a BLACK MOON! East of us it will occur August 1, the first of two in August for them! Their Black Moon will be the second New Moon in August, Friday Aug 30.

This New Moon will start a ‘season’ of three Super New Moons, July 31/August 1, August 30 – the closest, and September 28. They will be brighter and may appear bigger! More about Super Moons! Per NOAA, Santa Barbara CA will have a high 6.98 tide and a low -1.26!

 

A HOT 4 Planet fiery LEO stellium! Venus, Sun, Moon and Mars! Sweetie Venus, the New SuperMoon combo, and Mars clearing the way! Sun and Moon recently got their loving as they joined Venus. They are now on their way toward sassy Mars! Moon will get there on the next day, Aug 1 – see more below. Sun is a different story. Mars jumps into Virgo before Sun catches up. They won’t connect exactly until Labor Day, Sep 2 at 10 Virgo. Things they have been thinking about will get done then!

Though we can’t see it, it is a spectacular New SuperMoon! King SUN in his own sign LEO, with Queen Mother Moon joining him, ever willing to celebrate the Sun God’s glory! They embrace, he is delighted with her company. He seats her at his side, warming her very Soul. She brought him luscious breads made of the grains of summer’s wealth. Who knows? They might be having some fresh strawberry jam too! She has been watchful of people’s needs in her pilgrimage around the signs, let’s him know so he can shine radiance to fall upon them and brighten their ways, to help them see what’s best to do next. Venus is trine, the most favorable connection, Chiron! He too in a fire sign, Aries, the instigator! She sees what a superb first responder he is, instinct on the ready at a moment’s notice. She values his shamanic wisdom, sends healing when he falters, as the best of us can do. They may decide to invest in some medical research or businesses that provide educations of different types. He can be gruff and rough at times, just needing to get things done soonest. Venus may be the buffer, go between, and smooth the way. Jupiter is often famous, a well-known traveler or publisher, a teacher forever. He expands everything. Kinda a Midas touch! He races, gambles, loves and leaves – but it was so much fun while it lasted! He is in his own sign these days. As a truth seeker, he really speaks forthrightly, has integrity and often strong opinions. Moon may be a bit leery of him, maybe a little too slick for her conservative instincts. He may have to prove himself to her over a period of time. Sun will call him Bro. Venus holds her own, knowing she has her own following, and can make his even better. She’s no fool. She may be romanced, but she knows when that is happening. She’s been romanced by the best. They could run away together…

Aug 1 Moon catches up with Mars! He is impatiently waiting since he recently trined Jupiter July 25 and is full of ideas of great potential! Jupiter gave him some super perspectives and he wants to get going, knows just what to do next. In Leo he certainly has the prowess to do it! Some will think he’s too pushy or discount him as a ladies man, but just the same, he has things to do and someone’s got to do it! Mars leaves Leo before Sun and Venus catch up. They do lend a sympathetic encouragement, but perhaps not closely enough to do much good. Moon will be the key, taking info from them to Mars, quickly so, and that’s it. It will be up to Mars to follow through on his own.  

Mars has just inconjuncted Neptune. They consulted. Mars came with all his heart. Neptune probably felt a bit invaded, but was intrigued and offered some ideas of a greater purport than of one individual’s needs. Mars offered to make Neptune’s dreams come true, and Neptune believed him, seeing Mars’ vigor and earnestness. He spoke to Mars that Mars’ intentions are symbolic of the needs of many people’s. Mars can’t always be totally solo and independent, but he can be a very clever advisor, instigate and lead potent actions, show others how to do it themselves!

Mars’ closest upcoming aspect is his inconjunct with Pluto in Capricorn. They are kin – both fighters. Mars is a frontline in-their-face crazy fearless leader. Pluto leads from behind, around, at night, a ninja no one sees. He’s doing financial dealing, wielding political connections, changing the flow of directions. Mars may be seeking a potent ally to take a public stand, to place money where it will count in the fight for the cause. A frontal approach may not work this time – Mercury is still retrograde, all is not apparent yet. Give it some time; come back later. If you make a proposal, don’t expect it to come out as intended. It may be outstandingly better!

Saturn is retrograde in Capricorn, still near Pluto though fading back for a while. He is still traveling closely at the Moon’s South Node. There is a karmic condition that needs righting, forgiving. Old fears need to be released, power used correctly. Dharma is the replacement. Take responsibility, stay steadfastly on mission, rebuild, upgrade. Meet your tests, give gratitude, have a workable humility. Be clean and kind in your authority. Stay aware of the time frame, priorities. Neptune sextile/trine the Nodes will help. Trust your intuition, remember the long range needs of the planet and all her peoples. Collaborate. Keep your dreams in mind.

Fixed Star Antares, 9 Sagittarius 46, is the big bad wolf in traditional astrology! Per Elsbeth Ebertin: ‘A Mars nature, in which the powers of Mercury and Jupiter and Saturn are also added. Antares makes people tough, belligerent and pugnacious. This is an important star for military personnel and is said to convey mental alertness, strategic ability and courage and to make dare-devils, especially if tied up with the MC, Ascendant, Sun or Jupiter. According to tradition, Antares is of violent character and is credited with being significant for a violent death, either in battle or by process of law. On the other hand, danger may come about by fire, weapons or machinery. Mercury stations are 4 days before and after Mercury turns direct. At this point, Mercury is in Moon’s sign, attention on family matters, business, culture, what it means to be a child – growing up, how we feel, natural cycles and rhythms, on being a woman or Mother. These are elemental functions. Mercury thinks, makes connections, sibling to sibling, neighbor to neighbor. There is exchange, collaboration, shifting awareness. 22 is the number for our Full Moon! 2 is a stable number, a number of solidarity, of Taurus our #2 Sign, all four feet on the ground! Double #s are considered to have more power, called master numbers by numerologists. Two is so solid it has ownership. There is agreement to hold the ground, possibly having mineral wealth or have land value that has steadily risen over the years. 

Leo and Aquarius, along with Taurus and Scorpio, are called Fixed Signs. Taurus is easy to understand, rules Earth herself. Scorpio is ‘captured,’ what is underground, the spiritual underworld. Leo is the Sun Star that always shines. Aquarius is the fixed Air mass that surrounds Earth! The Sun is up in that arena as well. We look up to it, in many cultures, as the Creator. Without it the crops die.

Leo is the sign of the Heart, the Heart of Light, Life. As the dross is burned away, we become more and more ourselves. We started out as our parent’s child. Some don’t become themselves until they become much older and so many things don’t mean so much anymore. We be ourselves with no apology. 

Venus, right with Sun, shows us how to love ourselves just the way we are. She blesses, makes beauty, shows kindness. She creates the most fantastic colors and lights of great magnitude that shower us just as surely as Sun Himself, she but reflecting him! Sweet radiance comes from her heart. Her glance, her smile our way, her touch, mean so much. It’s like fine wine to our Spirits and we can carry on. She glows and shimmers like a sweet sunset slipping into a silky sea. 

Moon is opposite, feeling remarkable in the midst of the Aquarian network! She visits every month, so is used to it sort of, but air is not her natural element. She is basically a stay-at-home water planet, but she is always curious what’s going on, what’s new. She is very conscious of community, and this one, Aquarius, is super bigger, the community of humanity! What an array! She watches with her photographic memory, gathers insights into her bowl of wisdom, takes the best home with her. Things can be a little crazy in Aquarius, but she has a way about her to comfort all ‘children’ of the Light, no matter what. She is instinctively recognized as such, someone to be trusted when people need calming.

Sun and Venus in romantic Leo are ready to meet the unique Moon Aquarius character! They will select unusual entertainment, exotic restaurants. Aquarius will be impressed by the Leo entourage, brilliance, while Leo will be impressed by Moon’s friend’s amazing intelligence and memory for facts past, present & future, far and wide! They all have much to share! On the other hand, Leo may feel a bit upstaged, and Moon, in one of her rare moments, is not impressed at all by Leo. In Aquarius she may be more interested in the world at large than in Leo’s exploits, seemingly self-centeredness. If they can discover mutual causes, Moon can invite Sun/Venus Leo to dedicate part of the take, publicize the cause as a fundraiser, and Moon in Aquarius can get up on stage and tell some of the story behind it, bring them to tears. There can be comfortable and profitable collaboration. Each helps the other, the world is a better place. 

5 Planet Virgo Stellium to come! Though Sun and Venus are close enough to Mars, also in Leo, and are inspired by his leadership, they don’t catch up with him in Leo. Moving quickly, he goes into Virgo first. Venus, then Sun and Mercury follow him to make four planets in Virgo! The August 30 New SuperMoon, the closest of our three SuperMoons in a row, will have all five inner planets in Virgo, a five planet last of summer, back to school, stellium! It starts late afternoon the 29th Pacific time until late afternoon the 31st! At the SuperMoon it will be a tight line up at 2, 6, 6, 7 and 11 degrees! See the Timetable and Chart!

Sun, Venus and our SuperMoon can give so much! Sun is generous, a big Soul. Venus can’t help but love it UP! Moon in Aquarius nurtures the planetary family. Spread those arms wide open. Be like the Statue of Liberty at the gateway. Let that Light shine! 

All these pups are connected with Pluto at 21 Capricorn. In the background illegal immigrants are under fire, or should I say ICE? In the days before our Full Moon, Sun/Venus inconjuncted Pluto. Perhaps some were fortunate to have adjustments made about their cases. Leo and the Moon both rule children. The imprisoned children separated from their families have been suffering. There may be radical news on both sides of this matter. Full Moons, by their very nature of opposing signs, symbolized by Libra, the sign of Balance, may be able to negotiate effectively, or with Pluto in the mix, which can be hate, conditions could worsen. If that happens, it will be done quietly while the prison owners make more money. It’s big business.

Mercury in Leo trining Chiron in Aries may be of some help. Mercury may have gathered information that makes news. At the private level, Mercury no longer Retrograde, may be ready to set up a new business, get some quick healing from a master, be back at school studying brilliant inspiring new things with amazing instructors! Mercury will be curious about spiritual developments, symbolism.

Mercury is now squaring Uranus! Each can be stubborn in those fixed signs Leo/Taurus. Leo is looking at personal effects while Uranus, the planet of Aquarius, wants to know how you personally affect our planet! Most Significant 2017 Mercury Retrograde Cycle!

Mercury starts in Leo for only two days, but they are oh, so potent! The 3 part Mercury Retrograde cycle starts at 28 Leo and Mercury turns Direct/forward at 28 Leo. It is the root degree and sign of the Retrograde! The contemplation all starts with Leo, the sign of the Heart! Gold is its color! Heroes and athletes are favored. It is Self aware and creative from that central spark of the Light of the Sun! The Lion is with fixed star Regulus the King, why not Queens too?! Regulus was at 29 Leo, but now is early 0 degree Virgo, the Maiden, Healing Priestess! Mercury moves along into Virgo, but returns to Leo for a 10 day station (standstill as it turns direction forward), Aug 31 to Sep 9. Mercury is the planet of magical synapses, within oneself and with others! Words get around and we see their many faces. We think, we speak to our core intelligence, the who we are. In Leo there is the search for authenticity, being in the heart, radiant with natural Light. It’s a creative posture, alive with brilliant potential. The Aug 12 Retrograde is at 11 Virgo 38, square the fixed star Antares in the constellation Scorpio! Squares mean challenges most any day, but to Antares it may not be an easy challenge. Since Mercury direction changes also mean being in Station, an 8 day period, the energy will be held a good 8 days. Since Antares is at 9 Sagittarius 46+, we’ll extend that time to 5 days before the 12th, 5 days following. Antares is another of the four Persian Royal Stars, the Watcher of the West, autumnal equinox, Archangel Uriel/Oriel, Fire of God. Rob Tillett sums up Antares saying: Spirit of adventure, obstinacy, injuries to eyes, honours, sudden loss, stubborn, suspicious, violent, several marriages. A super simplified interpretation by me would be Virgo wants to work, Sagittarius wants to play and doesn’t show up on time. That’s not a disaster, but you might lose your job and that could become a challenge! If you’re going surfing during work time, take the boss with you!

The Retrograde cycle starts with the Star of the South, Regulus, and ends in connection with the Star of the West, Antares.

Retrograde in Leo, Mercury may change his mind about his opinion about himself. 1. The July 23 New Moon Is the day before the Mercury Rx cycle starts! It will help you see what’s at the bottom of things, the new beginning you would like to aim for. Moon conjunct Sun is a mighty union especially when the Sun is in his own sign Leo! It’s time to stand tall and have the pride of your own sweet Spirit!
2. Before the August 7 Full Green Corn Moon Lunar Eclipse, Mercury is close to opposite Neptune in Pisces! Virgo is one of Mercury’s own signs, and Neptune rules the opposite sign Pisces and is in Pisces! It’s almost like a double opposition! Mercury is intrigued by things out of its usual scope, a higher order perhaps. It can be used as a universal model. Things flow, health improves, you arrive at a vantage point of synchronicity that surprises you by its infinitely more favorable links. Logic and intuition work well together. They stay close but with Mercury slowing to retrograde, they don’t become exact, but considerations are stirred. They are within three degrees 10 days, from August 7 to 17. 3. Second Leo New Moon, US TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE is at 28 Leo 53! This is the degree the entire Mercury Rx cycle started at and Mercury goes Direct at!! The Eclipse is during Mercury Rx, Mercury at 8 degrees Virgo during the Eclipse! He trines Dark Moon Lilith at 9 Capricorn. Laser logic and bold feminine success. Tending and building. Cool mind, clear focused passionate power! Use the Eclipse message as your Guide.
4. The Sep 6 Pisces/Virgo Full Corn Moon is not linked to degrees in the Mercury Rx cycle, but is linked in time, happening the day after Mercury goes Direct, forward! Mercury is in station, appearing to stand still in the sky, at that time. Mercury holds the degree for 8 days, 4 before and 4 after the direction turn. There is a deep intake, a focus, mulling it over, a strengthening, an anchoring is possible. Take care what you hold in your thoughts in these 8 day periods. This time we look at the span of Pisces to Virgo. The Moon is conjunct Neptune in Pisces, his own sign! There are psychic memories of our past life deaths and births, misunderstandings and meanings, denials and dreams. Health and healing, taking care of pets. Choices based on critical and practical thinking are necessary to accomplish our goals. Again, the degrees are not linked, but the timing is. When Mercury is in Leo, those of you with chart factors in 26 to 29 degrees of fixed signs, Leo/Aquarius, Taurus/Scorpio, will feel the challenge. Those with factors in those same degrees of Fire signs Aries and Sagittarius, will more likely be excited by the changes!

The majority of the Retrograde is 0 to 11 degrees Virgo. Those of you with chart factors in mutable signs, Virgo/Pisces, Gemini/Sagittarius, will be challenged when Mercury is in Virgo. The Earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn will likely find it a smoother ride.

Happy Birthdays, Cancers!

This isn’t the most fabulous decadent cake I had picked out for you. I decided to give you a baker instead!

Paul Hollywood started out at home in his father’s bakery as a teenager, and his grandfather was head baker at The Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool! Though a Pisces, he has the Moon, cooking – the planet of Cancer, conjunct his Jupiter of fame and fortune! They are in Gemini, so Jupiter the traveler has taken him to many (Gemini) places, including being head baker at a number of hotels, including The Dorchester, Chester Grosvenor and Spa and the Cliveden Hotel. He then left the UK for Cyprus, where he worked at two resorts and met his scuba instructor wife Alexandra!

His Saturn, Chiron and Mars, together in Pisces, are trine Neptune in Scorpio, so he can take, and dish out, quite a bit of heat in the kitchen! Since the show launched in 2010, Hollywood has been a judge on the BBC program The Great British Bake Off. In this capacity, he has been described as the “antidote” to judges such as Len Goodman or Simon Cowell in other reality television programs, on account of his straightforward and honest manner and because his judging is restricted purely to the finished product. The show is now in its 7th series!

And, of course, Paul speaks at several food festivals, including the Cumbrian Food Festival, and the BBC Good Food Show and the Cake and Bake Show, both in London.

Fun for a Baker! In 2008, Hollywood created an almond and roquefort sourdough recipe that was said to be the most expensive bread in Britain. The roquefort was supplied from a specialist in France at £15 per kilo (that’s $19+ per 2 lbs +), while the flour for the bread was made by a miller in Wiltshire. Hollywood describes it as a “Rolls-Royce of loaves”.

As you might expect, with Moon/Jupiter, Paul, ‘The King of Bakes’ is a generous Soul. Paul is a keen supporter of the Pilgrims Hospices. Sep 2015 is just one example. He made a guest appearance to encourage home baking enthusiasts taking part in their Wingham farm shop Gibsons Big Cake Bake fundraiser. Contestants entered their best bake, be it a cake, cookie, cupcake, tray bake for local judges to see and taste.He is also successful at his other love, motor racing! In 2015 Hollywood began his racing career, making his debut in the Beechdean AMR Aston Martin Vantage GT4. Hollywood raced with Andrew Howard, founder of Beechdean Dairies – probably a foodie friend, right?! The pair qualified second in the Britcar Trophy Championship’s first round at Silverstone taking second in class in both races. Hollywood competed at Le Mans in 2015, in the Aston Martin festival. And also competed in GT Cup with Jonny Adam and finished 1st in class.

Cancer 2017 – 2018 Celestial Highlights!

Start looking for it now, mid June! See the Summer Triangle as a great big “V” for vacation!  It is most prominent during the summer season. Three stars in three constellations mark its points – Vega in Lyra the Harp, Deneb in Cygnus the Swan, and Altair in Aquila the Eagle.

Bruce McClure poetically writes: ‘Once you master the Summer Triangle, you can always locate the Milky Way on a clear, dark night. How about making the most of a dark summer night to explore this band of stars – this starlit boulevard abounding with celestial delights? Use binoculars to reel in the gossamer beauty of it all, the haunting nebulae and star clusters of a midsummer night’s dream!’

At nightfall in summer, look for the brightest star in your eastern sky. That’s Vega, the brightest star in the constellation Lyra the Harp. Look to the lower left of Vega for another bright star – Deneb, the brightest in the constellation Cygnus the Swan and the third brightest in the Summer Triangle. Look to the lower right of Vega to locate the Summer Triangle’s second brightest star Altair.

Cancer 2017 TimeLine!

October 23 2016 started a whole new round of SIX aspects through Dec 31 that are the primary aspects of 2017! We have had Jupiter inconjunct Neptune, Jupiter square Pluto ThanksGiving Day, Nov 24! The ‘Holiday Four, plus the very close Jupiter sextile Saturn, happened the last 8 days of 2016.

The first outer planets aspect of 2017, the Valentine’s Day Jupiter inconjunct Chiron, started the 2017 retrograde set of the SIX aspects in reverse order through May 18. The last aspect, Jupiter inconjunct Neptune has been and is in a one degree station May 17, retrograde, to July 4, direct/forward! The final set of six starts with this July 4 aspect. In forward order, the set of six finishes 11/11!

Cancer 2017, the 48 days Jupiter inconjunct Neptune finishes. We stay in contemplation, a continuous exploration of myths and miracles! We take steps off the main course, venturing into the relativity of causation – how we were created, how we ourselves are the cause of our future. Walking through the invisible veils that once held us, becomes a way of life. We are always fresh, know the perfect vantage point for clear vision.

The Aug 4 Jupiter square Pluto is the next last aspect of the now forward set of six that started Oct 2016.

The day after the LEO New Moon, July 24, the Leo/Virgo Mercury Retrograde cycle starts – not the retrograde, the cycle! The retrograde starts August 12 in Pacific time. Expect that projects begun from July 24 through Aug 12, will not come out exactly as planned. The exciting US Total Solar Eclipse is during the Retrograde part of the cycle – check your reservations in advance – confirm, confirm, confirm! Mercury turns Direct/forward, the day before the Sep 6 Full Corn Moon. Be ready to be flexible, make it better and better through the time of the whole 3 part cycle! It finishes Sep 19, the day of the Virgo New Moon! Clearly, this Mercury Retrograde cycle is linked with the MOON!

Outer Planet Transit Aspects Cancer 2017 –  July 2018!

Four outer planets, Uranus, Chiron, Saturn and Jupiter, are changing signs in Cancer’s year to come. What we do now will be backdrop and foundation for our future moves. Stay tuned in! 

Pluto in Capricorn reaches the beginning of the last third of Capricorn May 2018 moving from 16 to 21 degrees. Pluto is Scorpio’s planet and in Capricorn is in a harmonious sextile sign, an earth and water mix. A darn good business person estimating time and money to the inch! Pluto is opposite Cancer, calling on that immortal strength of the Mother. There is a look at the depths of feelings, their reality, their roots. Feelings we have outgrown are weeded out, feelings we keep are cleansed and reorganized more appropriately to current times. Change worthy ideas need to be instilled, spread far and wide to create a support network, cleverly woven into our daily fabric so they become a part of us, effortlessly carried on.

Uranus is the planet of Aquarius, so unique that utter freedom is a automatic. In Aries, the First of everything, it is kin to Aquarius the Awakener! Aquarius is way ahead of its time; Aries is the first to DO it! Fire and electricity make the world go around! Cancer doesn’t always like rowdy changes, but is interested in gathering scholarly information to make the changes the best possible. Uranus rules the world community, and Cancer rules the local community, family unity. Cancer is a sub model and quite personally knows about the ins and outs of family workings. Saturn builds from 21 Sagittarius to 9 Capricorn now through July 2018. Saturn goes into his own sign Capricorn Dec 19, 2017! Saturn will be in Capricorn along with Pluto, conjuncts Pluto once, Jan 12, 2020.

In Sagittarius Saturn is askew, inconjunct Cancer. Saturn is the planet of Capricorn, the sign opposite Cancer. There is an invitation to follow off to the side, to cross the bridge and take the turn. Cancer just wants to stay home. Saturn has a hard time resisting trying to Father Cancer, the sign of women and children, especially when they are at home. It’s an instinct. They want to protect. Saturn wants to build the best for Cancers though at times that can feel limiting, like when they want to change your plans too! Need to talk it over or it feels heavy handed to a sensitive Cancer. Sometimes it seems there are too many facts and rules for their intuitive preferences. Other times it makes them feel secure that hardworking Saturn is there for them. Cancer, the Art of Families

Cancer is really about the special people we love – babies to elders. Our past is made up of many dear people from cultures all over the world. We have images of some of them, and antiques and mementos that mean so much to us.

Families are like a human tapestry of time. There are the elders that learned from their elders, their Grandmas and Grandpas. There are the parents that learned from theirs, and add their own ways with insights of the times they live in. They leave some ways behind, preserve and carry forward what they see as the core goodness that makes life flow well. Children watch with innocence, absorbing some of the bad along with the good, each a unique reservoir of Spirit. They are a mixture, a blend, that is the potency of a new generation. They have dreams, sometimes without even consciously knowing what the dreams are, a result of what happened before them. Some dreams are the dreams of their culture, some of their dreams are generated from their own vitality, forging a new generation that their children will then carry forward.

It’s an intricate and sensitive process. For every person it is unique. Sometimes we are so different than our forebears and family, a Mother’s comfort is all there is. Sometimes we find a mentor that understands us, feels most of what we feel, listens. Together, as cycles flow, years go by, we accomplish so much. There are amazing achievements, often documented by beautiful watercolors, photography, designs, quilts. We become the engineers of life!

Cancers make excellent teachers. First they show us the basics – how to feed ourselves, what’s good to eat, how to keep clean, do our household chores, how to do for and love one another. That’s utterly important. It safeguards our entry into the greater world around us. Ever scholarly, the learning continues lifelong. A Cancer holds a wealth of knowledge.

As we grow, our skills start shaping. Many share family businesses. Some work we do because it is life maintenance, rent to be paid, and some we do because it is our passion to do so. We have verve, a natural intelligence for it. People see that about us and want to do thriving business with us. We are good at it and we become more of ourselves, have a fullness, a wellspring of fertile richness. With that strength we develop a greater ability to care for others, bring them forward in their lives as well, blessing us all! We become a contributing person in our community, a respected leader.

In many communities there is a natural goodness and diversity, a unity that creates a greater culture that encourages kindness to all. The community has the abundance to afford to welcome strangers who in turn make their contributions that increase that abundance even further! Travelers are often surprised and deeply pleased how much we who seem so different are so much alike. We become special people to them and they to us.

Relationships we form are tender and forever. We share shelter in storms, tend each other when there are tummy troubles, nurse the orphans. Intimacy is productive, babies flourish. Big families often. If not, adoptions are made. If your partner is a Cancer, be sure to snuggle and cuddle frequently. If they get crabby once in awhile, love them up! Feelings hurt? Listen, let them know how sorry you are they feel badly. If you messed up, apologize and make amends as promptly as possible. Amends means, breakfast in bed, perhaps a favorite sweet treat. Chocolate cake and ice cream, or cookies you made yourself would do nicely. Smile.

We are making the future right now as we speak. Our children have our pictures. We carry the gift of a lifetime’s experience that we have blessed them with.

Be ever proud of and grateful for what held you in its arms, the principles of your People. Be loving to the dear humans who love you as well as they can. Pass that love on.

Uranus Square Pluto, Royal Wedding Chart, William & Kate!

Uranus square Pluto is starting, now 5 degrees in orb.  That will keep things shaking!  Oops, maybe I shouldn’t say that.  Uranus in Aries is the rebellious young upstart compared to the wizened Pluto burrowing the depths of corporate Capricorn.  Yet Pluto is associated with journalism, follows the money, a trouble maker of a different ilk.  Power will be questioned.  Put them together and things that were thought to be impermeable may be disturbed at the deepest foundations, shaken to thunder!  Long standing old schools will have cracks in their armor, new conduits able to be begun.  Some will fall of their own finished weight, to be replaced for better benefit, or simply let go – no need to go further, job done.  Strange and wonderful new alliances will be tried and some will work and break through to whole new types of community models, building codes, laws.  Businesses once thought to be ridiculous will begin to prove themselves as the needs of the times and hidden technology comes to light to make them feasible.  Those who ride the snorty horse will fly!  Let those pawing hooves make fiery sparks! 

Another take on Uranus into Aries, square Pluto.  This aspect is unique because it happens 7 times!  It will be exact for the first time June 23, 2012, finishing Mar 17, 2015, in effect for five years!

I wrote the above with no thought of the Royal Wedding, William & Kate, in mind.  Yet this is the most powerful aspect of the out most planets, longest in duration, in their wedding chart.  It will always be in their wedding chart, but the actual aspect in the sky will culminate Mar 17, 2015.  At that point it shall have made 7 exact connections at varying but close degrees.  If their marriage is surviving at that time, they will probably make it.  So much is being said about how their marriage is giving hope in hard economic times and following the years of sadnesses around Charles, Diana, and Camilla.  Perhaps this symbolizes breaking through old patterns of the monarchy, British financial reform.

Some are using the 11 AM start of the wedding for the wedding chart;  I am using the 11:20 AM pronouncement moment – the intent of the event before your peers.  If you really want to get technical about it, use the chart when the last person signed the papers for official records after the ceremony.  The 11 AM chart has Venus of love and beauty at the top of the chart, and the wedding did start on time, and was a lovely ceremony that went off without a hitch though William did have a hard time getting the ring on Kate’s finger (Saturn opposite Mercury).

The most unique feature of the wedding chart is that simplistically, the Moon is Void of Course in Pisces square the Galactic Center.  Void of Course, VOC, is the time period from when the Moon makes its last connection with any planet and the time it enters a new sign.  There are extreme opposing points of view of what this period brings.  The traditional view is nothing will come of it, it won’t come out as expected, somewhat unpredictable.  This is great if your question is ‘Will I go to jail?’!  Rarely would a VOC Moon be chosen for a wedding chart.  Since the Moon has directly to do with fertility and a royal heir is usually wanted, this would be doubly so in this case.  It is said, ‘…the moon relating to the mother, will give a mother who was ‘not there’ so to speak. she may not have been there physically, emotionally, or she may have been even neglectful.’  Will’s mother Diana, ‘not there,’ is an important facet of their lives together.  The other view is there is nothing to stop it, nothing to stand in its way.  Hilary Clinton’s Moon (women) is VOC in Pisces in her 10th house of career and authority!  First Lady.   There are exceptions to the VOC rule, and this chart has them.  The Moon is said to ‘perform’ in Pisces – Pisces lives to osmose!  When it changes signs it will conjunct Uranus at 2 degrees Aries – free to act! Mercury and Jupiter are in an angular house, the 10th – a place determined to accomplish.  Jupiter with Mars is lucky to act!  How to resist?!!!

Still, as compelling as those aspects are, organically, the Moon, back at 26 degrees, four to go to change Signs, I would give the VOC read precedence, attending to reading the Moon for herself.  Pisces does move, but it can be ever so cleverly quietly, miniscule motion, practically invisible.  The VOC Moon is like a pause.  Preceding matters have been concluded, we’re in the done-deal zone, with perhaps a sense that it was all fated.  This is like a thoughtful, perhaps resting, reset period, in internal adjustment readying for the next Sign, the Gateway.  It is a step in a process.  A chart with lots of upcoming Lunar aspects in a Sign has many unfolding options, a rich future if favorable, is busy.  In traditional successful wedding charts, the Moon is chosen to be in trine or sextile with the Sun, Mother and Father, the Lights in harmony for fertility, full of life!  This chart has no upcoming Lunar aspects, no classic Sun/Moon, male/female connection. 

Pisces, the Moon’s Sign, is also an ending symbol, finishing symbol of maturity, being the last Sign of the Zodiac.  It too has to do with rest, contemplation, the unknown, unknowable, visioning.  To the negative side, it can be addictions, the victim/martyr, hidden agendas, fantasy versus reality.  For Kate going from commoner to Queen, it can be the dream come true, fairy tales.  Moon nurtures unconditionally; Pisces is the ultimate compassion.  It gives a dramatic counterpoint to the 5 planet Aries stellium (cluster – see below)!  Aries is noted for action, can be courageous first responders, but is not noted for ongoing care with deep sensitivity.  The Moon rules mothers, children, women in general, and Diana, the Goddess of the Hunt, in particular.  And Mother Diana was missing.  Pisces also rules being in Spirit form.  In the Abbey, closest to where William and Kate stood to take their vows, there were five chairs. Four of them were taken, by the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla … and then there was an empty chair. Was that chair for Diana?

Some are saying this ‘lost’ Moon in ‘lost Pisces’ is symbolically a way of putting away Diana’s influence. Maybe so, but she was William’s mother. That concept doesn’t work for me. This Void of Course position is akin to an ‘escape’ planet, a planet that has no connections formed to it or by it. It is in a separate state, unhindered, but ineffective, sometimes a loose cannon since there is nothing to censor its choices, no outlets to siphon off energy. It’s behavior often seems inappropriate.  It’s one thing to ‘put away’ a matter, it’s quite another to not get any benefit from the Moon other than the Sign it is in. 

Being on the brink of the Mayan calendar ending 2012, that event quite close to being at the Galactic Center, the Moon being a degree of square the Galactic Center seems significant!  Perhaps they will never take their kingdom or their kingdom, the monarchy system, will be ended, or it will be fraught with difficulties throughout their time.

Their Sun is in Taurus, a sign of fertility and stability, loyalty forever!  And there were earthy Pagan elements to the wedding.  Trees brought into the Abbey.  It was near Beltane – May Day celebration of fertility.  They had a hand wrapping – called handfasting in Pagan circles.  The archbishop who married them is a Druid!  And William’s full name is William Arthur Philip Louis, Arthur being the King of old mythical legends.

Leo Rising, the Ascendant, is a romantic Sign of Kings & Queens, great powers!  As Taurus, it is another fixed sign, cherishes its mate and takes a long time before it gives up.  It is generous, loves to teach, is thought to be selfish at times, is great fun to be around, has boundless energy!  Trine Venus, is kind, loves glorious beauty and color.  Their wedding was bright – William’s red uniform (Aries’ color).   

FIVE planets in Aries!  Aries is not famous for finishing projects nor fertility, but is a splendid champion, passionate leader!  Both Leo and Aries are athletic.  The group of five starts with Uranus of community, international connections, freedom.  Then there is Venus, love of independence, heroes, celebrities, art by fire.  The MidHeaven in Aries decides to try new things in government, laws, status.  Mercury is next, with inspiring things to say, fresh insights.  Mars and Jupiter conclude together.  Mars here is in its own Sign, racy super action, with Jupiter is legendary!  Jupiter is what we think is righteous, good luck, horses and big dogs, expansion, future plans, travel, publishing, education!  Expect these two to broaden and brighten Britain!  Aries is less famous for stopping to make agreements, more famous for spontaneous action, sometimes fiery fights, but quickly over!  One way or another, this couple will make a lot of news! 

With the Sun square the Ascendant, how you appear to others, they may not always look good.  Sun inconjunct Saturn, can be sad news at times. 

Saturn at 12 Libra is at a midpoint opposition with Venus 10 Aries, MidHeaven 12 Aries and Mercury 14 Aries!  Sometimes duty will dominate, love and simply doing what you want to do will seem far, far away.  There may not always be time to talk, so many responsibilities.  And at times, it will just be good to be apart, a little room to navigate freely. 

The Sun sextile Chiron of Marriage, and semi sextile Venus of love and affection, will soften and protect them, give a sweetness.   

Sun trine Pluto is the number one US corporate wealth aspect!  If it works well in Britain too, their fortunes together are likely assured!  Saturn though square Pluto, and is going back, retrograde, to 10 degrees, never makes the exact square to Pluto at 7 degrees.  There will be financial scares, close calls, perhaps, but will never quite happen.  The issues of their country’s economics will always be of concern.

Spiritually speaking, whether by chance or chosen, a wedding chart is always perfect.  The couple has the ultimate final choice of date, time and place.  Whatever is the Soul’s agreement, agenda, the chart will show the way and be lived in all its intricacy.
