Retrograde Eclipse across the SUN, 8:12 AM Pacific at 19 Taurus 25!
See the Astrological Chart below!

Transit of Mercury 2006

May 20 note: This is worth reviewing because June 3 Mercury is again at the TRANSIT of MERCURY degree, 19 Taurus, the third and last time, the day before our Gemini New Moon June 4!

Be there! The entire transit will be visible in the western part of Europe and Africa, as well as in the east of North America, and in South America! Western Africa has the best weather in May. It lasts 7 1/2 hours, crossing retrograde, East to West.

On the average, there are only 13 transits of Mercury each century. The last planetary Solar Eclipse we had was Venus Retrograde in Gemini June 5, 2012. The last Mercury eclipse was Nov 8, 2006 at 16 Scorpio. The May Mercury eclipses are about half as frequent as November transits, but are bigger because Mercury is Aphelion, farthest from the sun. They occur at Mercury’s South Node. The next TRANSIT of Mercury will be Nov 11, 2019. After that, it’s 2032!

Mercury moved into Taurus April 5, 2016, the day Venus, Taurus’s planet, went into Aries. The Moon occulted (eclipsed) Venus, Taurus’s planet, April 6 and the Sun squared Pluto. Mercury went deep into the New Moon April 7 at 18 Aries. Several deep aspects together. Mercury’s entrance into Taurus has some weight.

In Taurus, Mercury the Messenger is sitting with the Buddha, with Mother Earth. He is content in his skin, loves animals and their beautiful fur. Slowing down in Taurus, coming out of Aries, is quite a pace change, at first impatient, but soon adapting to the rest, being able to observe more of the periphery, the framing, perspective, centering, peacefulness. There is absorbing in addition to seeing. It’s a richer experience that way, though it can also make Mercury feel heavy when he is usually a skimmer and a butterfly flit about. Passing information along is more his venue rather than everyday common sense. But once there, he lends considerable intelligence to simple things, speeds up the processes, links and integrates them for further benefit! He’s a natural liaison. Seeing the Taurus values he becomes an appreciative spokesman.

Mars retrograded April 17, is way slow, taking his time going back from 8 Sagittarius to 23 Scorpio. Action takes a decided turn, the point man suddenly changes, possibly no longer interested. A project is left undone or up for serious revision. Or, Mars steeps himself in the depths of his intention to find the purity of his purpose, the internal strength and resources needed to get past a threshold. The teaching schedule and topics are shifted, the destination is uncertain. Philosophies are being challenged. Mars turns Direct, forward, in Scorpio June 29. May 9, the Transit of Mercury, occurs early in the retrograde when Mars is at 5 Sagittarius, pondering the options, confident of the possibilities. At the time of the Transit of Mercury, he is making no aspects to any other planets, so at that time he stands alone, unfettered, free and clear.

The TRANSIT Eclipse happens during the concurrent Mercury and Mars Retrograde! See Mars Retrograde! See Mercury Retrograde!

Mercury direct in Taurus was first over the Transit point April 19, the day the Sun entered Taurus and 3 days before Earth Day. Taurus is the sign of Earth. Clean up your antennae! Make sure the link to your channel is ready. Write out your thoughts, what you would like to receive, your intentions, what you will do in preparation. If you meditate, seek access to a sacred communion symbol, a centered Peace. Find a still place that will trigger your ability to receive as much as possible. Let go of fears. You will be graced perfectly as you can be. You are perfect just the way you are.

However, if by nature you are an exuberant fiery spirited person, quickly clear your channels, ask for guidance to be given your part. I’m all for jumping up and meeting it halfway, arms open wide, laughing all the way! Whichever you are, if your birthday is May 9, we are especially counting on you!

  • Mercury retrogrades April 28 at 23 Taurus, makes the May 9 Transit at 19 Taurus, turns Direct/forward May 22 at 14 Taurus. Mercury is well placed in Taurus for this event. Taurus, an Atlas, is a super stable strong sign. The Sun bathing Mercury is in total Light, being infused with a mega message, requires a sturdy vessel, one that can hold and sustain that Light, keep it safe. Taurus, the sculptor, the ceramic bowl maker, looks for the natural fit. Steady in the Light is a perfect phrase for this event. Jupiter goes Direct, turns forward, just 3 hours before the conjunction of Mercury and Sun! Jupiter is the planet of Sagittarius, the sign opposite Mercury’s maiden sign Gemini. While Mercury is information gathering and communication techniques, Sagittarius gives it meaning, direction and purpose. Sagittarius travels and carries the best with it place to place. It teaches wherever it lands. Considered a friendly optimistic lucky sign of fame and good fortune, we are so blessed to have it’s planet moving forward and carrying the messages of the TRANSIT of MERCURY far and wide in a positive frame of reference! Jupiter in Virgo, Mercury’s other sign, will strive to keep the insights unblemished, pure and accurate, send them out where they will be well tended, spread further.
  • June 3 Mercury moves forward across the Transit position the third and last time. If you were tuned in, your chart aligned with the Transit, there has been a lot to think about. Taurus has to do with your Body, our most precious possessions, Earth herself. Perhaps now you have more words to express your comprehension of what happened. Taurus being a fixed sign, an earth anchor, a sign of fertility, will hold these thoughts in safekeeping for a long time to come. They will be cherished, guarded and grown. Save the seeds and keep on sharing.

Mercury and Sun are at Mercury’s South Node (not the Moon’s South Node). It’s sometimes thought that South Nodes are where a bad was in past lives. Mercury in Taurus could have been a selfish thinker, all about possession, a pickpocket. But some also think that what we did, we did so bad, we did it good, and have a super talent to use when now used in a good way. Instead, they could be a grant writer, a museum curator, a clever organic farmer who talks to the plants and animals. So for Mercury, in this case, perhaps the specialty is holding consciousness, the link to, the messages of Sun, Sol, Soul. Because Taurus takes possession, things will be slowed down to a pace people can stand. New ideas will be less frightening, we can get used to them. They will be given with patience and kindness. We will be graced with gentle gifts as we grow, soon ready to handle more. Mercury is keen about estimating current capacity, and makes sweeps of the territory to see what’s changing and what’s up next. Truly a useful talent. The May 9 super infusion, will be a wellspring, giving us a synthesis of valuable inspiration for our world today.

Not only is Mercury at his South Node, but the Mercury eclipse Sun is trine the Moon’s North Node at 19 Virgo. Things from Mercury’s past of many life times will do a rubber band snap into present tense, just like in a time machine, now in the cloak of current times! The organization of life and good business are offered updates that transform us from mundane procedures to extraordinary services and production. Virgo irresistible! Time to let go the old, soup up the new! The Virgo North Node steps up, sees that quality nutrients, regular care are provided, that all is well maintained in top form.

What about that 19 degrees?! 19 Taurus, the degree of the Eclipse, is opposite 19 Scorpio. In old Horary astrology, 19 Scorpio was called the ‘dread degree’ of the entire zodiac! Many are born on 19 Scorpio and do fine. Clearly there are not terrible world traumatizing events that day every year. Yet, there are times, and for some people, it indicates severe challenge, possibly life long. One 19 Scorpio Moon woman never knew her mother, was in 13 foster homes and known for her volatile emotions. Events may be defined quite differently. Is it carnage or should we call it regeneration? Shall we hire the wrecking crew for things that completed their usefulness, clear the path for repurposing? Taurus is a sign of fertility and growth, and Scorpio is known for healing and regeneration! Both are known for strength – one for the power of life, the other for the power of rebirth. Taurus says mine; Scorpio says ours. They can strongly clash neither giving an inch, yet often, with help of a third party, make peace and work powerfully together for common cause.

Children born on this day during the Eclipse will have magical Solar linkage called Cazimi. Their birthdays will hold a meaningful part of our lives. In old horary astrology, when Mercury conjuncts the Sun exactly like this, it was considered unfortunate, burned out, combust. But I am with David Coleman‘s camp. For your perspective, he explains it this way:

  • Cazimi, [within 0° 17′ of the Sun] then, leads to the most enchanted state wherein the essential meaning of the planet becomes truly inseparable from our spirit. A cazimi Venus, for example, could easily be a nymphomaniac or ‘sex addict’, for example. It could also be a person with near supernatural charm, grace or insight into the world of feelings. Under the sunbeams a planet [8° to 17° of the Sun] is warmed and vitalised and somewhat or completely invisible, meaning it is commanding and infused with our inner light but somehow ‘on the fringes’, lacking in conventional status. It becomes ethereal, alluring, unusual and dreamy. Combust planets [8° of the Sun] are unorthodox and often willfully defy external direction because they are confident in their own inner unique grasp of the planets essential meaning. They are either aloof from or disinterested in the material agenda of the planet concerned but will still display its power radiantly and forcefully but somewhat enigmatically and individually.
  • Short answer: when a planet becomes non-visible because of the Sun’s light it becomes less physical and more astral in focus.

Since Cazimi is within all three of these definitions, I say ALL apply! Look at your own chart to see if you are in any of these categories and if you think they apply.

Expect these Cazimi children to have extraordinary things to say, an exceptionally clever mind in some way, some form of remarkable dexterity, an unusual voice, a way of speaking about a special talent that holds our attention even when it’s not our subject! In certain topics they will be intelligent ahead of their age expectancy, and will surpass common thinking.

In this chart of the eclipse, the Moon is in Gemini, one of Mercury’s signs! As you receive info, share it, disseminate, placing it where it can grow well and be shared on and on, putting the full breath of life into it! In astrology parlance, the Moon is Void of Course, making no aspects with other planets while it is still in Gemini. It is mature in its sign, unhindered, undistracted, free to receive, free to channel what it perceives! Perfect.

Two major outer planet aspects are part of the chart, both squares!

  • Jupiter is squaring Saturn, exact May 26. Jupiter in Virgo is always sniffing like a skeptic, sorting out what goes where, seeing if it really has use. Many things are interesting, but they have their own time and place along the road of life. Saturn in Sagittarius is not so interested in saving everything, may simply want space, yet sometimes instinctively puts it in the ‘Later’ category until its time has come. Together they may reframe certain information so others can get a glimpse of the potential and get on board with them. Jupiter loosens Saturn’s grip on old opinions with new data offered.  Jupiter is hopeful. Saturn is glad for more tools, the Builder at work.
  • Saturn is squaring Neptune, exact June 17. Saturn doesn’t know whether to consult the Mystic or throw him out! Neptune has intuited subtle guiding ideas, knows a lot about people that you would never guess. But there are those unpredictable artist or addicted moments as well ~ often ‘addicted’ to loved ones. Sigh. Insisting on expert specific counseling, programs can be costly, but the results may be well worth it. Saturn sometimes needs to learn when demands and stomping its feet will just never work. Some situations are not in our control. Some are broken beyond repair, or simply spent, done, over. Giving up and reasonable surrender are time saving talents. However, the new Light coming through Mercury may offer alternative possibilities. It will be wise to filter and integrate with current options as well. And sometimes when we all, one time or another, hit our personal bottom, we listen better. Humility and surrender are key. The viewpoint is different, and sometimes enlightening, from our knees. Getting to work may be the better choice versus dwelling in past sorrows, imagined tragedies. Onward.

Venus, also in Taurus, one of her own signs, has just sextiled that Neptune both still closely at 11 degrees! She has sweetened Neptune’s appearance and seen the values of his compassionate ways. Being pretty, strong, stubborn, adored and selfish at times, is not enough. It’s more than money or status. The Soul has to be happy. And working forever for things we want, needs restful Neptune breakaways to reassess where we have come to be. Big messages from the Sun God are cool, but they might need a little talking up. Neptune can help Venus shape the words with love, make new insights treasured.

Venus in this sextile with Neptune makes the Grand Earth Trine (blue triangle) a Kite formation, easing some of the stress aspects. Venus trines Jupiter, hallelujah, and Jupiter trines Pluto! That’s a money maker if I ever saw one! The messages of the Transit of Mercury, Eclipse of the Sun, will be blessed and grounded. Messages will come in at high spiritual levels as well as at the earthly how tos! The TRANSIT lasts 7.5 hours! Why not take the day off and truly Be There?!

Though the mythological Mercury is a man, Mercury is considered an asexual neutral planet, servant and messenger of the Gods, as such, simply a logical Vulcan-like channel. It is at times more interested in the function of gathering and transmitting information than the information itself. Each of us will put the spin of our own chart filter on the information we receive, yet try to keep your transmission of what you receive as neutral as possible. Go for the clean abiding principles rather than judgements of it. Since Mercury is of Gemini the Twins, think of it as our masculine Solar twin being seamlessly in Union with our Earthly feminine mind. When we are at one, there are no misunderstandings, no omits. We are complete, the merger Divine.

VISIBILITY! Find out if an astronomy group is setting up near you. Get tickets to the observatory! Find or get your viewing glasses now and put them in a place where you can easily find them! Clean up your old telescope. Check out the viewing times for your area. Find your favorite live stream channel!

The whole transit will be visible from most of Western Europe, S. America and Eastern N. America. Partial visibility everywhere else except Australia and far eastern Asia.

This is a profound exchange of information between us and the Heart of Light! Each person is linked to this chart in their own way, or not at all, though that isn’t likely since the many factors involved are across so many degrees. Each of us has a part in some way. Thank you for you and your part.

Steady in the Light Forever!

MOON Void of Course ALL DAY daytime 10 times in Cancer!  June 22, 27 and July 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17.  VC is thought of in two main ways.  Nothing will come of it; there is nothing to stop it.  Whichever school you are of, be wise about making appointments, starting projects, on those days.  For more on Void of Course, see the last item on the page at this link.

July 1 Solar Eclipse New Moon at 9 Cancer finishes our sequence of 3 eclipses in a row. Feeling what you are saying, doing, is vital. Your feelings have SUCH potency.  Your effect on others runs a course from one person to the next.  Seeing how much your feelings affect those around you may make you choose to divert your attention to more positive feelings.  Feelings can consume your attention so you don’t think or see anything else, holding you from seeing out in front of you, and moving forward. Emotions have enormous effect on your vitality and health.  Emotions tell you what’s up, and how important it is!  Take good care of yourself, like what you feed yourself.  Good organic food creates your chemical balance, makes a difference.

One of the true Cancer gifts is loving people unconditionally.  We see it with Mom’s and their children.  It’s a true power – they can lift that car right off their kid!  Practice that power of love yourself, to yourself, to others, adults.  Often what seems irrational about them, scares us, but when we sit with them for a time, walk in their shoes, they become simple and understandable, maybe a lot like us!  Even if not, all beings deserve love and care?  If the Soul is of many life times duration, as some of us speculate, fostering a self worthiness can go a long way in healing.  It gives them the message they are worth it.

Happy Eclipse!

Uranus Square Pluto, Royal Wedding Chart, William & Kate!

Uranus square Pluto is starting, now 5 degrees in orb.  That will keep things shaking!  Oops, maybe I shouldn’t say that.  Uranus in Aries is the rebellious young upstart compared to the wizened Pluto burrowing the depths of corporate Capricorn.  Yet Pluto is associated with journalism, follows the money, a trouble maker of a different ilk.  Power will be questioned.  Put them together and things that were thought to be impermeable may be disturbed at the deepest foundations, shaken to thunder!  Long standing old schools will have cracks in their armor, new conduits able to be begun.  Some will fall of their own finished weight, to be replaced for better benefit, or simply let go – no need to go further, job done.  Strange and wonderful new alliances will be tried and some will work and break through to whole new types of community models, building codes, laws.  Businesses once thought to be ridiculous will begin to prove themselves as the needs of the times and hidden technology comes to light to make them feasible.  Those who ride the snorty horse will fly!  Let those pawing hooves make fiery sparks!

Another take on Uranus into Aries, square Pluto.  This aspect is unique because it happens 7 times!  It will be exact for the first time June 23, 2012, finishing Mar 17, 2015, in effect for five years!

I wrote the above with no thought of the Royal Wedding, William & Kate, in mind.  Yet this is the most powerful aspect of the out most planets, longest in duration, in their wedding chart.  It will always be in their wedding chart, but the actual aspect in the sky will culminate Mar 17, 2015.  At that point it shall have made 7 exact connections at varying but close degrees.  If their marriage is surviving at that time, they will probably make it.  So much is being said about how their marriage is giving hope in hard economic times and following the years of sadnesses around Charles, Diana, and Camilla.  Perhaps this symbolizes breaking through old patterns of the monarchy, British financial reform.

Some are using the 11 AM start of the wedding for the wedding chart;  I am using the 11:20 AM pronouncement moment – the intent of the event before your peers.  If you really want to get technical about it, use the chart when the last person signed the papers for official records after the ceremony.  The 11 AM chart has Venus of love and beauty at the top of the chart, and the wedding did start on time, and was a lovely ceremony that went off without a hitch though William did have a hard time getting the ring on Kate’s finger (Saturn opposite Mercury).

Royal Wedding Chart, Prince William & Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge

The most unique feature of the wedding chart is that simplistically, the Moon is Void of Course in Pisces square the Galactic Center.  Void of Course, VOC, is the time period from when the Moon makes its last connection with any planet and the time it enters a new sign.  There are extreme opposing points of view of what this period brings.  The traditional view is nothing will come of it, it won’t come out as expected, somewhat unpredictable.  This is great if your question is ‘Will I go to jail?’!  Rarely would a VOC Moon be chosen for a wedding chart.  Since the Moon has directly to do with fertility and a royal heir is usually wanted, this would be doubly so in this case.  It is said, ‘…the moon relating to the mother, will give a mother who was ‘not there’ so to speak. she may not have been there physically, emotionally, or she may have been even neglectful.’  Will’s mother Diana, ‘not there,’ is an important facet of their lives together.  The other view is there is nothing to stop it, nothing to stand in its way.  Hilary Clinton’s Moon (women) is VOC in Pisces in her 10th house of career and authority!  First Lady.   There are exceptions to the VOC rule, and this chart has them.  The Moon is said to ‘perform’ in Pisces – Pisces lives to osmose!  When it changes signs it will conjunct Uranus at 2 degrees Aries – free to act! Mercury and Jupiter are in an angular house, the 10th – a place determined to accomplish.  Jupiter with Mars is lucky to act!  How to resist?!!!

Still, as compelling as those aspects are, organically, the Moon, back at 26 degrees, four to go to change Signs, I would give the VOC read precedence, attending to reading the Moon for herself.  Pisces does move, but it can be ever so cleverly quietly, miniscule motion, practically invisible.  The VOC Moon is like a pause.  Preceding matters have been concluded, we’re in the done-deal zone, with perhaps a sense that it was all fated.  This is like a thoughtful, perhaps resting, reset period, in internal adjustment readying for the next Sign, the Gateway.  It is a step in a process.  A chart with lots of upcoming Lunar aspects in a Sign has many unfolding options, a rich future if favorable, is busy.  In traditional successful wedding charts, the Moon is chosen to be in trine or sextile with the Sun, Mother and Father, the Lights in harmony for fertility, full of life!  This chart has no upcoming Lunar aspects, no classic Sun/Moon, male/female connection.

Pisces, the Moon’s Sign, is also an ending symbol, finishing symbol of maturity, being the last Sign of the Zodiac.  It too has to do with rest, contemplation, the unknown, unknowable, visioning.  To the negative side, it can be addictions, the victim/martyr, hidden agendas, fantasy versus reality.  For Kate going from commoner to Queen, it can be the dream come true, fairy tales.  Moon nurtures unconditionally; Pisces is the ultimate compassion.  It gives a dramatic counterpoint to the 5 planet Aries stellium (cluster – see below)!  Aries is noted for action, can be courageous first responders, but is not noted for ongoing care with deep sensitivity.  The Moon rules mothers, children, women in general, and Diana, the Goddess of the Hunt, in particular.  And Mother Diana was missing.  Pisces also rules being in Spirit form.  In the Abbey, closest to where William and Kate stood to take their vows, there were five chairs. Four of them were taken, by the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla … and then there was an empty chair. Was that chair for Diana?

Some are saying this ‘lost’ Moon in ‘lost Pisces’ is symbolically a way of putting away Diana’s influence. Maybe so, but she was William’s mother. That concept doesn’t work for me. This Void of Course position is akin to an ‘escape’ planet, a planet that has no connections formed to it or by it. It is in a separate state, unhindered, but ineffective, sometimes a loose cannon since there is nothing to censor its choices, no outlets to siphon off energy. It’s behavior often seems inappropriate.  It’s one thing to ‘put away’ a matter, it’s quite another to not get any benefit from the Moon other than the Sign it is in.

Being on the brink of the Mayan calendar ending 2012, that event quite close to being at the Galactic Center, the Moon being a degree of square the Galactic Center seems significant!  Perhaps they will never take their kingdom or their kingdom, the monarchy system, will be ended, or it will be fraught with difficulties throughout their time.

Their Sun is in Taurus, a sign of fertility and stability, loyalty forever!  And there were earthy Pagan elements to the wedding.  Trees brought into the Abbey.  It was near Beltane – May Day celebration of fertility.  They had a hand wrapping – called handfasting in Pagan circles.  The archbishop who married them is a Druid!  And William’s full name is William Arthur Philip Louis, Arthur being the King of old mythical legends.

Leo Rising, the Ascendant, is a romantic Sign of Kings & Queens, great powers!  As Taurus, it is another fixed sign, cherishes its mate and takes a long time before it gives up.  It is generous, loves to teach, is thought to be selfish at times, is great fun to be around, has boundless energy!  Trine Venus, is kind, loves glorious beauty and color.  Their wedding was bright – William’s red uniform (Aries’ color).

FIVE planets in Aries!  Aries is not famous for finishing projects nor fertility, but is a splendid champion, passionate leader!  Both Leo and Aries are athletic.  The group of five starts with Uranus of community, international connections, freedom.  Then there is Venus, love of independence, heroes, celebrities, art by fire.  The MidHeaven in Aries decides to try new things in government, laws, status.  Mercury is next, with inspiring things to say, fresh insights.  Mars and Jupiter conclude together.  Mars here is in its own Sign, racy super action, with Jupiter is legendary!  Jupiter is what we think is righteous, good luck, horses and big dogs, expansion, future plans, travel, publishing, education!  Expect these two to broaden and brighten Britain!  Aries is less famous for stopping to make agreements, more famous for spontaneous action, sometimes fiery fights, but quickly over!  One way or another, this couple will make a lot of news!

With the Sun square the Ascendant, how you appear to others, they may not always look good.  Sun inconjunct Saturn, can be sad news at times.

Saturn at 12 Libra is at a midpoint opposition with Venus 10 Aries, MidHeaven 12 Aries and Mercury 14 Aries!  Sometimes duty will dominate, love and simply doing what you want to do will seem far, far away.  There may not always be time to talk, so many responsibilities.  And at times, it will just be good to be apart, a little room to navigate freely.

The Sun sextile Chiron of Marriage, and semi sextile Venus of love and affection, will soften and protect them, give a sweetness.

Sun trine Pluto is the number one US corporate wealth aspect!  If it works well in Britain too, their fortunes together are likely assured!  Saturn though square Pluto, and is going back, retrograde, to 10 degrees, never makes the exact square to Pluto at 7 degrees.  There will be financial scares, close calls, perhaps, but will never quite happen.  The issues of their country’s economics will always be of concern.

Spiritually speaking, whether by chance or chosen, a wedding chart is always perfect.  The couple has the ultimate final choice of date, time and place.  Whatever is the Soul’s agreement, agenda, the chart will show the way and be lived in all its intricacy.

If you didn’t see it and would like to, here is a link to watch the ceremony.  At the very beginning, note the lovely greenery in the abbey!

Stelliums, Planets in the Same Sign (I’m including Chiron)
There are many 4 planet groups in 2011, in Capricorn, Aquarius, Taurus, and Sagittarius, but none to compare with the phenomenal ARIES Stellium: 4 to 6 planets in ARIES from Mar 21 to May 15! 56 Days! From April 1 to May 11, there are continuously 5 and 6! That’s half of our 10/11 planets! Think of the charts of children born at that time!

The long duration of this stellium is what makes it so phenomenal! The anchor planets are the slow mover Uranus and faster Jupiter, with Mars on its 2 year cycle, and the annual planets in turn, Sun, Mercury, Venus, and the Moon twice, at the beginning and end! Part of what keeps it going is that Mercury Retrogrades Mar 30 to Apr 23, remaining in Aries longer than would usually be!

Aries is THE highly spirited fire sign, on-the-spot intuition, split second reaction times! Their courage and fearlessness are totally inspiring, leadership is something they do without thinking, it’s normal. They love new ventures, put their whole heart into it, and never look back. If one thing doesn’t work, no crying and moaning, nary an apology, next! They do put their partners on pedestals, and being only human, oops, there are falls from grace. Sigh. But, hey, onward, right?! Pick yourself up and off you go! There is a simpleness of intent, childlike exuberance, sometimes naïve, but well intended. Help them if you can keep up.

Aries Super Stellium High Points!
April 1, Mars, the planet of Aries, enters Aries, making that 5 planets in Aries!
April 2, the Moon joins, making that now 6 planets in Aries!
The Aries NEW MOON is April 3, just as powerful as it can be!
April 4 the Moon enters Taurus, we’re back to 5 planets in Aries.
April 20/21, the Sun enters Taurus as Venus enters Aries, and the amazing 5 planet Aries stellium continues!
April 29 the Moon joins making it SIX, again!!!!
May1 Moon enters Taurus, so we are back to 5
May 11 Mars enters Taurus and we are back to 4!

Feb 3-4     SIX planet Aquarian New Moon stellium, Feb 3 starts the Chinese Year of the Rabbit!
Mar 3-5     SIX planet Pisces New Moon stellium
Sep 26-28     5 planet Libra, New Moon stellium

Bowls! Scoop and gather, hold, let settle, pour the blessings….

Capricorn Bowl, 3rd of Four: Dec 28 2010 to Jan 10, 2011 our planets are arcing Libra to Pisces, one side of the zodiac.
Aquarian Bowl, last of the series: Jan 25 to Feb 6, our planets are in a bowl pattern from Libra to Aries, with a SIX planet Aquarian stellium Feb 3-4! Feb 3-8 we have 5 planets in Aquarius until Chiron enters Pisces on the Feb 8th!

PART 2, Your 2011 Astrology Highlights!

Retrogrades, Chiron’s New Pattern, Six Eclipses, Occultations, Planetary Extremes, Super Moons, Moon Void of Course, Chinese Year of the Rabbit!

Some of these you will definitely want to mark on your calendar, be aware of, plan ahead for! So, with your appointment book/calendar in hand….

Retrogrades Few  The usual outer planet retrogrades, no Mars or Venus retrogrades, Mercury 3 times as usual – Mar 30 to April 23 in Aries, Aug 2 to 26 in Leo/Virgo, and Nov 23 to Dec 13 in Sagittarius.

Chiron’s new pattern, retrograde degrees start overlapping each other. That means sometimes a planet in your chart may be activated 5 times rather than only the 3 times as in the past. The only other planets that do this are Pluto and Neptune. So their activations can, at times, be dense, and intense, repetitive, taking 3 years – the year before they are exact and the 2 years they are exact. If they activate planets in very close degrees, more than one planet at a time, in your chart, it can be intense indeed, complicated, at those times. If they activate a string of planets in your chart one after another, issues can cascade, one to the next, for years and years. You live through things longer than you would ever have thought possible. These are those lawsuits that go on and on, health matters that frazzle your Spirit, children that don’t get over things and have trouble growing up, couples that fight for years never-ending. If you are in such a sequence, get support, see your part in things, get informed, take especially good care of yourself. Call me for a reading, I’ll check for you.

SIX Eclipses in a year happens every 4.5 years or so, and we have a Unique Dark Moon!  Four of the six 2011 eclipses are Metonic returns of the eclipses of 1992, repeating on the same dates and degrees. The other two repeat the date and degrees of the New Moons! While many eclipses repeat at 19-year intervals, some do not. Eclipse Frequency

Jan 4 Solar Eclipse, New Moon 13 Capricorn, same day as Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Pisces!
June 1 Solar Eclipse, New Moon 11 Gemini
Jupiter enters Taurus, sextiles Neptune between the 6.1 and 6.15 eclipses, all of them preceding Summer Solstice!
June 15 TOTAL Lunar Eclipse, Full Moon 24 Sagittarius
July 1 Solar Eclipse New Moon 9 Cancer
July Two New Moons, July 1 & July 30! Call the second New Moon of July what you will! Dark Moon, Black Moon, Secret Moon, Spinner’s Moon, Finder’s Moon. The second one of the month is considered especially potent for magical practice.
Two eclipses during Mercury Retrograde!
      Nov 23 Mercury Rx
Nov 24 Solar Eclipse, New Moon 2 Sagittarius, on ThanksGiving Day!

Dec 6 Jupiter sextile Chiron 2nd time
Dec 10 TOTAL Lunar Eclipse, Full Moon 18 Gemini
      Dec 13 Mercury Direct

Occultations are Eclipses, just not Moon/Sun Combos! They occur when planets are lined up both horizontally and vertically, exactly in conjunction in the line of sight! Some years they happen again and again, often to the same planet. 2011 there are only 3, all formed by the Moon to different planets – 6.30 Venus, 7.27 Mars, 10.27 Mercury.

Planetary Extremes, March Lineup!
Jan 3 Perihelion, Earth closest Sun; July 4 Aphelion Earth farthest from Sun.
Mar 9 Mars Perihelion, every 2 years
Mar 16  Mercury Perihelion, annual
Mar 17 Jupiter Perihelion, every 12 years!  This is the big one that is super charging 2011, the Aries Stellium!  Click here for more!
Mar 19 closest Perigee, Moon to earth; Apr 2 is the furthest Apogee, Moon’s distance from Earth. Quakes, volcanic eruptions, major storms, high tides are often at perigees. Apogees can be calm to the point of malaise.

6 Super Moons, one Extreme, 100% +

Feb 18, 2011 | 00.36 AM   |  Full Moon | 29 Leo
Mar 19, 2011 | 11.10 PM  | Full Moon | 28 Virgo  | Extreme, closest Perigee, to Earth. Jupiter perihelion March 17.
Apr 17, 2011  |   7.44 PM  |  Full Moon | 27 Libra
Sep 27, 2011 |   4.09 AM  | New Moon | 04 Libra
Oct 26, 2011  | 12.56 PM  | New Moon | 03 Scorpio
Nov 24, 2011  |  10.10 PM | New Moon | 02 Sagittarius | Partial Eclipse, ThanksGiving Day

Moon Void of Course April 4 to Aug 4, as Neptune enters Pisces, no outer planets, that’s Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Chiron, Saturn, and Jupiter, will be in late degrees, all are in new signs! That means the Moon will often have long Void of Course times when no planets are in late degrees of any of the signs. From the time a planet makes its last major aspect, a conjunction, sextile, square, trine or opposition, until it enters a new sign, is the time it is Void of Course, VC. The general interpretation is nothing will come of anything started during VC time. You go shopping for an item that is regular stock, and they are out of it that day! Sometimes it’s a good thing nothing comes of your effort, better left unsaid, so to speak, or, oops, thank God you didn’t do that! But not a preferred time for the interview for the job you really want. Yet, another interpretation is there is nothing to stop the matter, it’s a done deal. If the Moon’s last aspect was classically favorable, I would lean toward declaring a positive outcome for action taken. Generally, I would postpone if possible.

Feb 3 starts the Chinese Year of the Rabbit!
