Following, only 9 days later, means from the point of view of Nov 3, we are approaching Jupiter conjunct Pluto. It is fully active! Many choices will be made at that time per this conjunction that happens at the same degree and sign as the Jan 12 Saturn conjunct Pluto!!! It will bring back memories and make comparisons. Pluto is a clearing planet and Jupiter’s sweeping seeing doesn’t miss a spot, lights up all the dark corners!

Jupiter in Cap is most likely to arouse Pluto’s financial interest! They can do hugely profitable business together if all other factors are well too. If not, OMG, it can be a disaster. Losses with no recovery. If Jupiter exaggerates, is more hopeful than real. If Capricorn misjudges the reality due to misleading information, trusts a no longer accurate source. If Pluto gets greedy with the wrong people. So, be careful at this time. If things go well, your efforts will prevail and produce for years to come.

Jupiter in good aspect with Pluto is one of the top three wealth aspects in US corporations! DO check with your astrologer(s) to see about how it will work for you with your chart. Remember, there will be three of these aspects, so check them all. The first is April 4. Jupiter stays less than 3 degrees from Pluto from March 12 to July 30. That means they are in continuous close contact until the second conjunction June 29. The last is Nov 12.

At the most personal level, Jupiter in Capricorn with Pluto can be the most profound or worst sex you ever had! Be careful with your vulnerabilities; don’t be where you can get raped. If you are new to sex it’s important to choose a partner wisely or not at all. Stay out of harm’s way. If you already have a partner, stay ethical, do no harm. Your purpose for sex is important to your spiritual well being. When the novelists talk about earth shaking sex, this is certainly a potential time for it! Capricorn is the apex of earth, her pinnacles! Capricorn has the utmost self discipline of all the signs, and, is the sign of the Goat, the rutty goat! They aren’t called horny for nuthin’, LOL! Pluto/Scorpio also has incredible self discipline, is THE sexual sign/planet! Seduction is like you never had in all your born days before! Perfect time for Tantric training! Sex could just go on forever, steaming its way through your life for four plus ecstatic months, with your teacher perhaps! After that, you might have a review around the time of the third aspect Nov 12. Intimacy or the deep freeze, will be in high gear. People in general may feel willing to share more deeply because it works. Things we learn about each other help us understand each other and heal things we couldn’t heal by ourselves. If we probe inappropriately, without care or perception of other’s feelings or readiness, we don’t ask permission, we may find ourselves on the outside and it might take a long time to mend that schism, if ever. Fear is hard to talk to, because it freezes us, we can’t think about it even. If revenge sets in, it can be a sorry time. Jupiter is teacher, in Capricorn especially of age concerns. Pluto wants cleansing and healing. Both Cap and Pluto are excellent at renovations, regeneration! We can learn a lot about statistics, the latest healing techniques at this time. If Jupiter makes your health have too much of the toxins or toxic behaviors, you may find yourself in pain. But this is a 4+ month time when it all starts, so you have time to chew the bone and find your way. Don’t be shy to ask the important questions! In that 4+ month period of time two things happen! Number 1 is Saturn’s sign change into Aquarius March 21 and retrogrades back into Capricorn July 1. The majority of the first two Jupiter conjunctions with Pluto is during Saturn in Aquarius! Saturn has a responsibility to Aquarian humanity. The flavor of the conjunction will not be not just of itself, but will be influenced by greater concerns, businesses that address world concerns. Could be more political and environmental as well as economic. Businesses that are inclusive will do the best.

Number 2 is Jupiter boosts the process with its concurrent sextile to Neptune that’s exact July 27! That is the second sextile. Jupiter and Neptune stay close to 2 degrees or less from then until the third and last aspect Oct 12, so the aspect is virtually continuous for that period and a little before and after. Since the sextiles with Neptune all occur while Saturn is in Capricorn, historical and business affairs, laws and environmental matters, are being translated and repurposed into current events and needs. Pluto is in the resurrection business! He has been almost dead himself and risen from the ashes. Some have awakened to the passion of their life and the Kundalini flame burns strong within them. Pluto rescues the fallen, reignites the embers. They get up to live again. When the flame is burning well it not only livens the Spirit but is self cleansing. There is Purification, releasing of obstructions, clearing the way to move forward.

With Light to see the flame of Inspiration, we are warmed to the possibilities. There is Initiation, ignition of the Lighted Soul.

The October 2011 Passage of Oct 26, 27, 28 – Super New Moon, Occultation of Mercury, Second Jupiter Trine Pluto!

Scorpio – Fires Within

Wednesday Oct 26 | 12.56 PM Pacific | Super New Moon | 3 Degrees Scorpio   This is the 5th of 2011’s 6 Super Moons.  Super Moons are when the Moon is 90% or greater of its closest approach to Earth.  When it is a full moon, it appears as much as 15% bigger!  They indicate more intensity, higher tides, strong storms if there is one, higher seismic activity.  This is a NEW MOON, and Scorpio is noted for intensity of the deep dark water variety!  Records could be set, relationships could start or crumble, there could be revelations about money sources, resurrection of old alliances, brushes with death, healing through saturation/immersion, miracles!  Time alone may be deeply needed and appreciated, a transfixion of quietness.  This is happening midday, so you may need to get away, take a bit later lunch, to meditate or have a private meeting.  Being a new moon, perhaps it is small beginnings, let things grow in their natural way.  The temptation is to use force, but avoid pushing at it, causing a distortionate break or growth ahead of its time.  Being only two days before the Jupiter trine Pluto puts it in that aspect’s hot zone!  There may be an ebb then a leap!  Read on….

Thursday Oct 27:  Occultations are Eclipses too, not just Moon/Sun Combos! They occur when planets are lined up both horizontally and vertically, exactly in the line of sight! Some years they happen again and again, often to the same planet. 2011 there are only 3, all formed by the Moon to different planets – 6.30 Venus, 7.27 Mars, 10.27 Mercury.  Oct 27’s Moon occultation Mercury is our last of the year.  Moon is emotional, Mercury is logical, and they are making a merger!  Feel what you think, say what you feel, but be really careful because this one is in Scorpio.  You can’t take back what you have said, and it may cut deep.  If a conversation even hints at turning South, let it go, NOW.  There may be an unanticipated price down the road, even revenge.  And it takes a lot of effort to repair, sometimes can’t be repaired.  The other side is someone may tell you something more valuable than you even realize at the time.  You may be healed or given a key piece of information that transforms you, your situation, relationship.  And it may be a blessing in disguise.  There could be an ending that serves you well in the long-term, and actually has been overdue.  Be able to engage, listen big, disengage if needed.  It’s a life skill worth having.  This is especially true this occultation because first Mercury is activated by its direct alignment with the Moon at 22 Scorpio at 7:08 PM, then the Moon passes over Venus at 23 Scorpio at 9:23 PM, just a little over 2 hours later!

First the New Moon quiets us, making us thoughtful in behind-the-scenes observant Scorpio, on the 26th.  Then the Moon, Mercury, Venus combination makes us extra aware of home and family, about love, the 27th.  It opens our capacity to attune, speak our love and affection, to kindly and potently tell what we want, both personally and in business, to see more clearly how we can make the money to support ourselves, loved ones, do things we naturally love.  These are the catalysts and a poignant part of the forming Jupiter trine Pluto, exact the very next day, the 28th, at 9:46 AM Pacific!

Friday Oct 28 Second Jupiter trine Pluto at 5 degrees Taurus and Capricorn.  This and the Jupiter sextile Chiron (the next one will be Dec 6) have been the aspects that have kept the Stock Market up this year.  Jupiter is expansionary, lucky, wise, foresees the directions things will take, is optimistic, will take long odds and win!  It has an extraordinary ability with perspective, watches the big picture, is playful.  Can’t keep a good Sag/Jupiterian down!   Pluto is the planet of wealth and Chiron of business!  Pluto cleans up messes, is expert at rebuilding after losses, recovery from illness, never says die!  When in top order, it is a clean machine!  Deep and internal cleansing, firing people who are not able to make the returns needed, are its forte.  Though at times painful for the recipient, in the long-term, the move is usually the best and reform and transformation happen.  Jupiter wants space; Pluto wants mergers and deep intimacy.  So, if a merger happens, it is probably a better deal than usual.  There has to be a real attraction for Jupiter to see a future in it and accept the transaction.  It will likely be a long-term value.  See more at last month’s pre Jupiter trine Pluto post.

Jupiter is fame, fiery, education, and speed sports; Pluto is death and healing, charisma, power.  The first trine was July 7 – on  July 8 we lost Betty Ford, died at the age of 93. She was known primarily for her work post-whitehouse and for founding one of the most famous rehabilitation facilities (The Betty Ford clinic) in the world. Widow of former president Gerald Ford.  Coming into this second trine, we have lost two.  1) Steve Jobs Oct 5 (4 degree trine): Chairman and Co-Founder of Apple, died due to  complications from pancreatic cancer. He was 56. Jobs was known for his keynote speeches that were given each year to update the loyal Apple followers, as well as his enlightening interview style.  2) Oct 16 (2 degree trine): IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon died after suffering severe injuries in a spectacular 15-car wreck at the Las Vegas Indy 300. He was 33 years old. The two-time Indianapolis 500 winner (including this year’s event) was critically hurt when his car sailed over the top of another during a massive, fiery wreck on Lap 11.  Ironically he had been driving test cars to avoid exactly that.

All of these people made powerful contributions, each in their own way.  May they rest in Peace.  And may we LIVE this aspect well, and carry on its teachings with Grace.

Scorpio, Master of Resurrection

Scorpio is the only sign of the zodiac that starts in a double number month, November, 11.  Double numbers double the power, called Master Numbers!  Scorpios have always been feared and revered!  As Libra is the sign of mirrors, Self reflected through others, looking across the table, Scorpio is the sign of merging, ultra sensitivity to others, doubling power when a merger is accepted, accumulating power with each merger, corporate like.  Being a ‘permeable’ water sign, is why they walk around with the stinger ready, a demeanor of don’t mess with me – to keep away the ones that don’t suit at that time.  Or, they don the mysterious unfathomable poker faced mask – you don’t know me, I’m not available, yet, if ever.

The mask, sometimes freely worn as the perfect image of inscrutability, implies a need to protect, a vulnerability that is perhaps not discernible to others.  So there is a certain unpredictable ferocity, a tempestuous wildness in the cauldron, that you need to be careful of until you get to know them better.  And which one of you are we speaking with?  The mask we see or the one behind the mask?!  Both?  Do you know yourself?!  And we all know that, there is more to us than as first or often appears.  One of us is the ‘face,’ the other fermenting.  We all have Scorpio somewhere in our chart,  an 8th  house (Scorpio’s natural part of our chart), and Pluto (Scorpio’s planet) somewhere in our chart.  We all have a minimum of 3 places where we experience Scorpio’s Shadow and Revelation, one way or another.  Since the Mask implies the one you see and the one you don’t know but is there, perhaps this is part of the Great Mystery of their super healing, both having and bestowing.  The mask calls forth what is needed, attracting the Force, while the inner person gathers strength from within, perhaps even resting, while the Mask is lining things up externally.  They have two chances at life, healing from two directions!  Scorpio has always been known to heal faster than other people, miraculously so even when there has been extreme wounding.  And they heal not only the obvious, but the source of the trouble.  Complete healing, through and through, body and Spirit.

Because a partner, an equal, has been attracted, and legalized in Libra, now there is also a very real other, Self, that is there to help when needed.  No doubt they are finely attuned, because Scorpio is highly sensitive, and must pick a partner with higher compatibility for comfortability.  Their reputation is to mate for life.  You can see why.  Only in extreme circumstances do they give up their relationship, and when it’s up, it’s up.  Period.  This deep bond must be boon and bane.  It’s blessed when it is well, and tortured when it isn’t, because it is that close no matter what’s up.  Sigh.  Scorpio is the sign that most often marries one of its own same sign.  So there is less work explaining, there is natural concert, extraordinary potency.  It’s as if another person, or is that two persons, is helping with healing, comforting, encouraging exactly as needed, as if it is another yourself you must live for!  What is that Mayan phrase?   “In Lak’ech” – I am Another Yourself   I’ve thought of that as a Gemini phrase also, Gemini the sign of two.  I think of Gemini and Scorpio as different stages of butterflies.  Geminis flit here and there with nary a care, or so it seems, and Scorpio is the silent invisible Creature in the Chrysalis, deep in dark, soon to bloom.

Sai Baba – Astrological Birth and Death Charts

Easter.  Today, that day of Resurrection, is the day the Great Master, Sri Sathya Sai Baba, chose to leave his earthly body.  What a message.  We are born again.

Here is the chart of his birth.  What is most unique is that he never left India to bring his message to the world.  At 84, he was revered by millions worldwide, with ashrams in over 126 countries.  Devotees included high-placed politicians, movie stars, world-class athletes and industrialists.  Over my lifetime, I have had friends who were with him when he performed some of his miracles.  I am a believer, and am sad at his passing, blessed that he lived, for my friends’ miracles were real to me and changed me too.

Sai Baba – Scorpio Sun & Ascendant, Moon Cancer

Saturn was next to his Sun in Scorpio when he was born, made him like a Capricorn as well as a Scorpio.  One of Saturn/Capricorn, abilities is apporting – the ability to materialize things out of thin air.  My friends saw him make roses appear in his hands, and the sacred ritual ash, Vibuthi, for their foreheads.  With Saturn at Baba’s Ascendant and Sun, he was a hard worker, and likely life was not always easy.  He never married or had children.  They say we teach what we need to learn.  Baba’s Venus and Mercury were in Sagittarius, Jupiter in Aquarius, a love of spiritual teaching and people of all places.  His Mars was in Taurus, an enduring warrior devoted to his purpose, a founder.  His Moon in Cancer gave him a love of home, so he built an ashram, a spiritual home for people to come live and learn with him.  Crowning his chart is Neptune in Leo, at 26 degrees in a positive exact trine with wth Galactic Center, 26 Sagittarius!  Spirituality fit for a king, major fame, though most Scorpios like to operate from behind the scenes.  Another thing that brought this man forward was that four of his planets, Saturn, Sun, Venus and Mercury were all in his first house, the Aries house, making him sacrifice his privacy for leadership!  Or you could say he led from behind since his medium was meditation and spirituality, both invisible!

It is thought by many that the sign you die in is the one you reincarnate in!  So here he went with Sun and Ascendant in Taurus, the opposite sign of his Sun and Ascendant he had this life, Scorpio!  Pluto and Moon are in Capricorn, the opposite sign they were in this life, Cancer!  In both instances, he has gone the maximum distance, reach, across the zodiac!  He leaves us during a 5 planet Aries Stellium (cluster of 3 or more planets in the same sign), a champion even in death.  The Ascendant of his death chart is 29 degrees Taurus, a classic degree in horary astrology of something to weep about, the degree of the 7 Sisters, the Pleiades.  Indeed.

Chilean Miners Return to the LIGHT!

From La Tercera Newspaper, Chile – Last Miner of 33 Rescued!

Aug 5, 2010, was just 2 days after the Aug 3 exact Jupiter square Pluto.  Jupiter rules funerals; Pluto rules death, the underworld, and resurrection, the Phoenix rising from its own ashes!  For 33 miners, the lights went out at 2 PM.   Edison Pena, the 12th miner to the surface, said in a letter to his girlfriend he wanted to ‘see the sun’

The coordinates of the San Jose Mine are 27 S 09 37, 70 W 29 48.   

Today, 69 days later, the miners are incredibly returned to the surface, into the LIGHT, by their rescue capsule, the Fenix, in English, the Phoenix!  Many of the rescue techniques were the same as used by NASA in space, and were brought by NASA, combining heaven and earth.  Oct 13, 2010, the first miner to the surface was Florencio Avalos, at 00:11 AM CLDT/AST.

The Aug 5 chart had a mighty configuration, 6 planets in a T square.  Venus, Saturn and Mars are in Virgo and Libra on one side.  Saturn and Mars together are pressures.  In Aries on the other side, were Jupiter and Uranus.  Both of them are motion planets, Uranus like a humming frequency, Jupiter amplifying it.  At the point of the T was Pluto, planet of extremes, dark, death, underworld/healing, resurrection!  Jupiter and Uranus, indicate luck, publicity, worldwide.  They were in the 4th house of the chart, the place of outcomes.  Uranus rules surprises!  Five of the outmost planets and Chiron were retrograde, indicating going back, again and again, not giving up, returning.  Mother Moon’s final aspect, in Gemini (communications), was a trine (flow) with Chiron, the wounded healer/teacher, at 29 degrees, the final degree of a sign, in Aquarius.  Aquarius rules flight and freedom.  Aquarius is Uranus’s sign, Uranus the planet of the unexpected!  What seemed apparent tragedy became a miracle.

As the first miner, Florencio Avalos, surfaced, Mama Moon was at 29 degrees Sagittarius, the point exactly sextile (opportunities), the 29 Aquarius where Chiron was on Aug 5!   And Mama Moon was only 3 degrees from Pluto, the planet of death and resurrection, the one at the point of the T square in the Aug 5 chart!  Pluto was right at the Descendant, the place of relationships in our charts, in this case, being restored!  The Ascendant was 0 degrees, new beginnings, Cancer, the sign of home and family, nurturing emotions.  Their story becomes all our story as Mama Earth held them in her womb, then gave them up to live, as if reincarnated.  “I have changed, I am a different man,” said Mario Gomez, the ninth to be rescued and, at 63, the oldest of the group.  Undoubtedly, they, ones close to them, all of us who live their new glory with them, will let go of some of our petty choices, be cleansed of toxic debris in our lives, live on in cleaner awareness, make more of a difference.

Though they have their lives, medics say some of the men are psychologically fragile and may struggle with stress for a long time after their rescue.  Please continue to send your prayers for them and their loved ones.  These men have lived for us.
