AND, this is the first lunar event, and I do mean first, it and Jupiter are at zero degrees, with Jupiter now in his own sign Sagittarius – the planet and sign of travelers! Apropos it is since the Full Moon spans Gemini (Moon) to Sun sign Sagittarius conjunct Jupiter, on the first day of 2018 Sagittarius!!! Arms open wide, Moon and Sun cross the dimensions. Gemini is fascinated by every single encounter with any possible living or inanimate thing at its fingertips! Sagittarius would walk 100 miles to see what is over that next hill and who might be there! Gemini thinks 100 miles a minute while Sagittarius is contemplating what it all means and is making plans to go another 100, knowing there is more!
Mars sits at a T point to the Moon, Sun and Jupiter! His temperament is very different than theirs. They are chatty and heady compared with him in Pisces. He is a leader, but in Pisces can take complete silence. He can lead from behind or within, yet get him on a pulpit and the fire comes out! He can surprisingly lead the fray, an inspired compassionate leader in behalf of those who suffer. He is sensitive to what needs doing now to save the most later. His sensitivity avoids mistakes, gets right to the heart of things.
Sun and Jupiter are backed by a Grand Trine/Kite that finished Nov 19. Sun was in Scorpio then, received advice from Chiron in Pisces and the Moon’s North Node in Moon’s sign Cancer. Chiron gave tips on healing the Soul, the helpless and hopeless, other leaders involved with planetary healing. The Cancer North Node impressed Sun with the organic need for food and shelter, cleanliness and emotional support. Sun now in Sagittarius wants people to know, and put programs in place to get people on their feet, to be able to be contributing citizens.
Moon sits sextile midpoint between Chiron and Moon’s own North Node. And, she is one point of that T Square! She links them. First, as sextile Chiron and the Node, she too got the information Sun and Jupiter did! Where Sun & Jupiter in Sag are promoters, the Moon rules our shelter, women, children, the public at large. She knows the feelings of the times. She’s like a weather barometer that helps us make our moves at the times best for their reception. Sextiles of water and earth, she was in Taurus then, blend understanding and application. Taurus wants it to be anchored and long serving. Now in Gemini she’s spreading the word, getting thinking going. Next thing you know you are on the volunteer list!
There is a Cardinal Grand Square too! Cardinal signs get things going! Uranus is the Chief in Aries, leader, first responder! He thinks in terms of from the loner to all humanity! Getting one pivotal key person started can become an avalanche of success, worldwide achievement! Venus, in her own sign Libra, is sweeting her way along mending rifts, introducing strangers of great differences, blessing the day with beauty. She explains legalities and has teeth when she needs them. Don’t underestimate her. The Moon’s Nodes are the second axis – Capricorn south, Cancer North. We have been no nonsense business people before, building solidly a day at a time, supervising the troops, buying time, doing research and testing. Now we are adding in Cancerian caring, nurturing with quality food and comforting, offering personal support in community matters, the Sacred Feminine. Children are our treasures of the future.
Uranus sits midpoint semisextile between Chiron and Moon! He links all three configurations, The Mars T Square, the Grand Trine and the Grand Cardinal Square. These are all action oriented combinations.
Venus is no longer retrograde, but Mercury is now since Nov 16. See more about Venus/Mercury Retrograde! It’s especially significant to this Full Moon since Mercury is Gemini’s planet! Communications are essential to spreading the good word. When Mercury/Gemini exchanges across the table to Sagittarius, he knows the information will go far and wide for free! Sagittarius loves telling stories, educating, sharing perspectives, opening minds to a vast array of information. Travel blogs to tomes. The retrograde function keeps reviewing, stirring the pot, incorporating insights that have come along.
Mercury squares Neptune. Mercury is pretty clear in Sagittarius, has his opinions. He has his usual ‘chatter’ but in Sag he’s looking for meaning too. He’s more likely to pick a direction. Or, he’s scattered more than ever with all those Sag possibilities in mind. Retrograde makes for a lot of quick mind changing. Neptune too can go either way. Either it’s mass confusion and illusion, or you would give your life for what you are dedicated to! Mercury is usually logical, Neptune is famous for those psychic curve balls! Good thing Mercury is quick on his feet in a fire sign, like a flash in Sagittarius, the sign of the nimble traveler avoiding the potholes! Good luck!
Saturn is making his own notes in his own sign Capricorn. He’s tallying, watching for what works, how much time it will take, materials needed. To him it seems like a zoo for the moment. He is wisely waiting for the dust to settle a bit.
Pluto took the Light with him down under, below the Ecliptic Oct 30! Now Kundalini and Phoenix style he is ‘raising’ Hell, LOL! What an awesome job. The mighty midterm elections brought more ethnicity, more women, and LBGTQ! Pluto will have to make many powerful yet delicate shifts to bring these new people into productive work in their new jobs, help them stand tall yet balanced, to facilitate and establish their new ideas into a working part of our fabric. This Full Moon is equipped to help see the many facets that need to be harmonized. The ‘shifting sands’ of these mutable signs, Gemini and Sagittarius can be like quicksand swallowing you up, or a mixing bowl bringing each thing that needs work to the surface so it can be dealt with. Mutable signs are known to be in motion, adaptable – sometimes accommodating, other times taking you with them!
In the long term, these events will be leading up to the Nov 16, 2019 Transit of Mercury and Nov 19, 2019 Jupiter conjunct the Galactic Center!
Astronomical note! Our Full Moon is occuring at the same time as what is called the Pleiadian Alignment that started Nov 15, finishing Nov 23, the day after ThanksGiving! Earth, Moon 0 Gemini, Sun and the Pleiades 0 Gemini are precisely in a row! They were known as the Weeping Sisters, in old horary astrology, something to weep about. Lord knows we in California have had just that with the deadly Camp Fire and the sad losses with the Woolsey Fire. Some organic astrologers equate the weeping with rain. We are hoping for a steady light rain that our scorched land can absorb. The Pleiades are also called the Seven Sacred Sisters, with various mythologies about them, feminine, intuitive. This is the first New Moon during Jupiter in Sagittarius and the New Moon is IN Sagittarius! Hallelujah! It’s a double Sag chart plus Jupiter is in his own sign Sagittarius! Every New Moon is a precious restart from sign to sign. This is a 12 year restart for Jupiter! Each New Moon is a purity of that sign’s energy incubated by and integrated in the very latest transits of the times. Each New Moon is the wellspring of sign it is in, a fresh charge, and a pure source of that energy. And it’s the perfect support for Jupiter! Mercury entered an intense Station (appearing to standstill) for 8 days in the last degrees of Scorpio! The Scorpio messages will be steeped, condensed, focused on, anchored in place. Decide what you want to keep as core guidance, let the rest go. Your foundation is set, move on with Venus’s blessing. Mercury turns direct, forward, Dec 6, the heart of the station, on the Sagittarius NEW MOON! The turn, very slow at first, has been made. After the next four days the findings will start being released, momentum will be gained. Mercury returns to Sagittarius Dec 12. He will be downloading the information to Jupiter Dec 12, leaving nothing out, until he conjuncts Jupiter Winter Solstice, Yule, Dec 21! Venus will be left behind on her own, still in Scorpio. This chart is rather simple – you can see in the chart there are few aspects made – the color connector lines. What is exciting is that the point of the red triangle and the big blue triangle are linked!
There is the red, triangle that actually represents a Grand Square of Uranus, Venus and the Moon’s Nodes! It is quite odd in its combination. Uranus is in fire sign Aries retrograde. It will be squared by the Moon’s North Node in it’s own sign Cancer, also retrograde. Since the node moves faster, it will make the square while both of them are retrograde. Uranus in fiery Aries couldn’t be more his own man, complete loner to a leader of humanitarian efforts. Either way he is consumed, others have to come to him. Moon’s North Node in its own water sign Cancer is more likely to stay home unless it is a matter of taking care of the children. Venus is also in a water sign, Scorpio, still close but leaving them both behind. Water signs are usually trine, a harmonious aspect, but here they are square, somewhat at odds yet in compatible signs. It’s a similar setup for Venus ‘opposite’ Uranus. Oppositions are usually in opposite signs, which oddly have some compatibility. In this case they would be Aries/Libra – fire/air or Taurus/Scorpio – earth/water. But these are not. They are Fire/Water. Could be steamy, but Venus, of Libra has had enough of that upstart Aries, no finesse she thinks. Or she is impressed, and takes up his cause. In charismatic Scorpio she is looking for love and money, or wants to be around involvement with deep healing skills and centers for homeless, hospice, addictions. She’s blessed and not afraid of the dark side or being behind the scenes. Oh, the juicy secrets! She is not just a pretty face; she will do more than expected and more than we will ever know. Give her the reigns, yet check on her from time to time for your own peace of mind.
There is the blue Grand Water Trine. The Moon’s North Node links the Grand Square with the Trine. Trines are considered a blessed configuration and the North Node too. North Node is our aspiration, balance with the South. In this trine, Mercury is exactly at the same degree and minute, giving deeper facts and wisdom from Scorpio, who has faced life and death. The North Node in Cancer wants to protect its own, so is quite grateful and now more able to secure resources and the safety of loved ones. Though the Node, always moving backwards through the signs, and Chiron are parting, Chiron in Pisces saw the weak points and showed the Node how to apply healing of spirit, as Scorpio showed the Node healing remedies. In turn, The node offered a nurturing place to stay, free of obsessions and addictions, instead a safe place with innocent babies and children that give us the reason to say clean and sober, to not stray from the organic reasons for being here together. Many times healers need to heal themselves. This trine is a great gift.
This trine helps calm the red lines. Uranus needs to be free, but how free? We are all a part of each other. We breathe the same air. Be free to be sweet. Pay more attention to the living beings around you doing the best they can. Be free to be able to receive love. Being touched by the Spirit of others makes a living difference. Venus in Scorpio can be enamored with her own seductive beauty that may be the source of her money. She may forget she too is a part of a web of dear humans that would love and admire her for more of what she is rather than what she has. They will love her when she is wrinkled and gray. She may be so wrapped up in giving healing she forgets herself. Open those pretty eyes, lift that chin, see and feel the love people have for you. Keep the balance.
The New Moon itself not in either pattern! In fact, it is virtually standing alone numerically. Both Moon and Sun recently squared Mars and Neptune, but, traveling faster, Moon and Sun are leaving them behind. What they will carry with them is the spice of Mars’s dreams while he has been close with Neptune. Mars has been inspired by Neptune’s amazing insights. Mars isn’t noted for being subtle, but he is in Neptune’s sign with Neptune. He is being steeped in Spirit. Aligned, he sees the vision too. Neptune is in Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac. Mars is the planet of Aries, the first sign of the zodiac! It’s alpha and omega, the beginning and the end! What one starts the other must end. What one dreams the other must begin! Both are planets of Initiation, one through perceptions and visions, the other through the action taken in their behalf! Leadership is often born of what we see that needs saving.
Mars makes the exact conjunction Dec 7 at 6:12 AM Pacific, so essentially, the daytime operative hours are the same day as the New Moon! Two beginnings at once! It is also true that Neptune and Pisces may obscure your vision and accuracy. You or what’s out there may seemingly be ‘invisible.’ Please be careful if you feel tired, distressed, or even super ‘high.’ You may not be as invincible as you imagine, and poor judgment may be your undoing. It’s ok to slow down. We are all on God’s time. Illusion and confusion, intentional deception, could take you on a wrong lead for a time. If necessary, admit your mistake, get help if necessary, and get back on track. Some of these experiences will strengthen you. You won’t fall prey again, and you will guide others away from these traps. The other side of that same coin is a breakthrough! Your perception may be so heightened you can see like never before! Special info for those of you with 14, 15, 16° factors in your charts! The Libra New Moon Oct 8 started a 7 month series of New Moons at 15° of their signs. Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces and Aries New Moons are each at the 15° midpoint of their signs. By midway, they ‘learn’ their sign and are tipping in favor of maturity and completion. All these Moons are resonant to each other! Each represents a turning point, a choice point on how to proceed further, a balance within their sign. Some of the signs will be in harmony aspects to the others, ie Libra and Sagittarius will make sextiles and trines to other air and fire signs. This one in Sagittarius will square the one in Pisces and trine the last one in Aries. Scorpio will make trines and sextiles with other earth and water signs. The master Capricorn Solar Eclipse Jan 5, 2019, however, the first 2019 lunar event, will be midpoint between Libra and Aries, the first and last signs in the series! A lot will hinge on his decisions and influence the remaining three, Aquarius, Pisces and Aries.
