Libra, Isis, Angel on Earth

Beautiful image from Moer Foundation

Symbols say so much. Whether Quan Yin or Isis, some say they are Angels on Earth. Look at Isis, goddess of Light, marital harmony, and magic, for our Libra symbol. Wings outstretched, she welcomes all, has compassion for all, equality and balance. The Sun above her head is the Sun symbolized at its set, the rise in the top line of the Libra symbol. The two lines represent ‘As above, so below.’ The partnering of the lower and upper worlds. So we have balance in all directions, side to side among us, below and above, spirit and mind with matter.

Or you can think of the Libra symbol as the scales.  The lower line is the earth the scales are standing on, grounded on this plane, connected in a good way to Mother Earth.  The scales themselves, with the ‘rise’ of the center post, the upper line, with the pans at either side.

Or you can think of the upper line as representing a person holding the scales.  Their head, the higher consciousness that weighs what we think, is the rise point on the upper line, our arms outstretched holding the pans of life on either side.

Since Libra, the Fall Equinox, signifies coming into the darker time of our year, resources deep within us, many times the Libra symbol is made with a dark background. Some make the symbol orange or gold to signify the sunset glow, fall, harvest, pumpkins, Halloween – the link between the living and our ancestors!

Look at the symbols of all the signs to learn more of their beauty.

July 30 Mars in Libra joins the T Square at the Saturn point,
July 31 Mars conjuncts Saturn! (See Saturn Libra T Square)

Mars might just be the one to tip the scales!  Saturn can be hesitant, but Mars ain’t waitin’!

Libra - Shiva & Shakti!

Only every two years does Mars go through Libra, the sign of relationships, balance, fairness, negotiations, business partnerships, separations, cross cultural connections, fine arts.  It’s a challenge because Mars’s natural sign is Aries, the opposite sign of Libra!  Mars is masculine, the independent warrior; Libra is ruled by Venus, feminine grace and sharing.  And, Libra is actually also masculine, being air sign!  Integration of our opposite selves, working well together, are acquired talents, challenges worth the learning.  They are tenets of an enriched whole life, comprehensive in scope!

Now, with Mars not only in Libra, but with exacting Saturn, seeking updates and corrections, lazy mediocre relationships just don’t get the job done, especially if you are the one who has been being crazy!  Kick it up!  Get up your courage and go!  Sexual respect goes a long way.  Take your time, but let it be known you have the passion.  Try something spicy and new!  Show off a bit, and if you fall, laugh together, let it be good fun!  Reasonably serious is good, too serious is tedious.

Loyal too long?!  Apply for new work!  Great time to start a dance/exercise class.  Apply for art school, a negotiations workshop.

Lead the way for a day, see how that works, feels.  Act equal, like you are at that level too, or we are all in this together, equal in spirit!  If you are a sheep, not a ram, fine.  Be good at it.  Make your time and actions count.  If you are a ram, find your way through  – walk the wire, find the key, climb other the wall, lower your head and butt!  Look for the weak spots, strengthen the strong areas for the good.

Resentments and authority struggles, rebelliousness, are good signs of healthy growing, a spiritual protest!  Don’t ignore it!  Take a good look whether it is yours or theirs, or both.  What do you each have to offer?  How can it become sharing?  What about that tone of voice or posturing?  Is parting ways a good solution?  Honor to all?

This is a good time to see what has been holding you back from your opportunities.  Why do you hesitate?  Is that good to know?  What can you do?  Is it ok just the way it is?

Stand right on top of that mountain for a better view!
