Lights on, heads up!  Get out your Jupiter thunderbolts and let’s dance!

July 2, Dec 6, and Feb 14, Valentine’s Day 2012, Jupiter in Taurus sextiles Chiron in Pisces! This one will be while Chiron is at 5 Pisces, the first of the three times. July 2 is the last day of the Sun Grand Square, so the build up to this sextile will be challenging, and the challenge will be helped by the teaching healing perspectives the sextile brings. In addition, the Grand Square will be helped by the concurrently building first-time July 7 Jupiter trine Pluto in Capricorn only 5 days later! That will bring phenomenal growth, power, possible wealth, and potential teaching healing, intensify complex situations. I doubt solutions will be simple or immediate, but they will certainly be fascinating! July 7 is the first day of the Venus Grand Square through the 13th, so the follow through needs a bit of finesse. Let love soften the obstacles even, perhaps especially, when the going already seems good. This will be like a little super challenge. Make a point of loving it uP!

Chiron and Pluto are both thought to be healers. Chiron is concerned with teaching, marriage and business, all partnerships of a kind. Teacher/Student, you and your mate, your business/customers – clients/partners.  In Pisces, they need to be magical!  Fiery spirited Jupiter likes teaching too. It travels about, goes to college, gathers a plethora of knowledge, stories, experience, inter cultural sharing, and brings it to the table for exchange. Jupiter is not so often interested in marriage, can be hard to catch. They are off to another adventure. They can be truth tellers, having points of view acquired on the road.  They see you well because they don’t know you, yet are astute observers since their survival depends on instant appraisals. Whether it be about you, your attitude, or the dynamics in your relationship, they likely have at least a part of the truth. True, they can project, seeing through their own lens, but still, what in you called that up in them? Jupiter is not as interested in money as Chiron and Pluto are. They make do as they go. They laugh and love, have fun, are offered shelter for their stories, do an odd job or two here or there, just enough for food maybe. They have expansive ideas, can see further beyond, since they must anticipate the weather, the temp of the locals, where it’s safe or not. Often their suggestions pan out, quite worth your hospitality, let alone the entertainment value!

Pluto is a no fool-around planet.  It seeks the Great Mystery, unabashedly looks at sex, wants to know how money works, and how it is we come to live and die.  It especially doesn’t fool around in Capricorn, that wants the job done toot sweet.  If things are not working, good, you find that out, done with it.  If you are going up the mountain at a steady pace, good, progress.  Cut losses when it makes sense, less whining, more doing.  It’s all ok.  Focus, use good timing, don’t give up.  Seek coaches and mentors right now!  Jupiter will laugh with you all the way to the bank because it has big ideas and is a great direction finder!  It just knows where the good stuff is!

Both these aspects are positive in classical astrology, so invite a teacher, traveler, soothsayer, to your table. Then listen. Learn about healing – of body, mind, Spirit. Plan a clever party, and laugh because you can and it’s even fun when you are on your knees!  Be free and thankful!

Make your appointment for a reading to see which areas of your chart these and other factors are activating!

This Jupiter in Taurus is very happy with Mama Moon’s Sun sign Cancer.  Taurus is the food producer farmer, Cancer makes sure there is plenty of water, Mama Earth’s milk.  Jupiter is fast and expansionary, unusually big!  Earthy Taurus is steady fertile growth gaining momentum, rich in organic soil nutrients, gains a pleasing shape.  Cancer is regular care and feeding.  Crops may grow faster this year, a great volume, tasty, award winning!  This is a year it is worth taking a gardening class, cooking class!  Take time to team up with a Cancer to preserve the abundant harvest!  Freeze, dehydrate for snacks and winter stews, can.

Jupiter likes stretching its mind and body, likes on-the-spot teaching.  Cancers are forever students, sponges, often with photographic memories.  And they like photography, water colors, preserving the memory for all to see.  Family photo albums can go back for generations.  Genealogy tells the story of the women and children, the matriarchs & patriarchs that made your family what it is today.  Jupiter loves stories, tomes!  Write your memoirs with anecdotes about all your relations, sketch, illustrate, add their favorite recipes.  And keepsakes of events – tickets, napkins, a scrap of lace.

Skirts.  Cumberbunds.  Home knit wraps, caps.  Aprons.  Quilts, doilies, towels, curtains, potholders.  Baby blankies and slings.  Hankies.  These are down home traditional textiles dear to a Cancer’s heart.  Wonderful gifts to make or receive!  Jupiter in Taurus loves useful items that give comfort from kitchen to bedroom, against the skin.  Plenty and generosity.

Taurus and Cancer are both food junkies, don’t want the food to run out, love growing food, lots of it!  Jupiter has a big appetite!  Won’t you please have some more?  And they need to watch their weight.  Taurus simply loves the taste and texture.  Jupiter likes something a little foreign, maybe ceremonial.  Cancer is usually traditional, loves ice cream and creamy foods, and often has a wee bit of a sensitive tummy, so be careful with the spices.

This year would be a grand time to publish a recipe book, put up an urban homestead blog, do a little importing and exporting gourmet foods!

Happy Birthdays and Summer Solstice, Cancers!

A handsome Cancer who has not taken a back seat!!!!  Born June 30, 1985….

Michael Phelps, 16 times Olympic swimmer gold medalist, broke Mark Spitz’s records that had stood for 36 years, won 8 gold in Beijing 2008!  Per WikipediA FYI:  A few physical attributes particularly suit Phelps to swimming: his long, thin torso offers low drag; his arms span 6 feet 7 inches (201 cm)—disproportionate to his height of 6 feet 4 inches (193 cm)—and act as long, propulsive “paddles”; his relatively short legs lower drag, and perhaps add the speed enhancement of a hydrofoil; his size 14 feet provide the effect of flippers; and his hypermobile ankles he can extend beyond the pointe of a ballet dancer, enabling him to whip his feet as if they were fins for maximum thrust through the water!

The Aries Fire Stellium is OVER.  Now as we enter Taurus, the sign of loyalty and steadfastness, what was new, or did you start, during that Aries stellium, that you would like to continue to have in your life?  What value did you bring in that you are happy to maintain?  I have a new student who is new to astrology, and she is taking in the principles amazingly quickly!  I started sharing some more garden space with another community gardener, and intend to grow crops I will harvest to store for winter food.

Wise old Saturn is holding the fort at his 10 degree Libra station (appears to be stationary, still, in the sky) from May 18 to July 8, turning direct (forward) June 12.  Those of you with planets at 8 through 12 degrees will feel the need to enforce or question the rules, make or break commitments, let go or take responsibility, respond to age issues, make career choices, engage in father/ing matters, build for a stable future.  Being overwhelmed burdens the Soul; timing that fits the deed and your needs and your Spirit makes all the difference.  Focus and do your best.  Make yourself proud!

Jupiter is making his last stand in Aries until entering earthy Taurus June 4, starting off a fine Saturday!  That will leave only Uranus in Aries, the lone wolf on its own again, but happily so in a sign of its same spirit, both Uranus and Aries loving freedom and independence!  Jupiter in Aries gives a last chance these 14 days to start what we will, get educated to be encouraged, have confidence, to lead the way, or follow someone we trust well.  It could be more fun than you have ever had before!  Frolicking is good!  Roller skate, hike, ride your bike!  Continue it with Jupiter in Taurus exercise; do the fun kind!  Long horseback rides, mountain walks, walk your dog!  Endurance and strength sports are satisfying.  Long distance and heavy weight.

Jupiter, good luck, fame, huge growth, in attractive Venus ruled Taurus can attract more money than God – they call it a BULL MARKET when the stock market is going UP!  Jupiter in Taurus can keep that money, hordes of it, may travel to the ashram for an extended stay, found a non-profit organic farm, raise horses, buy fine art, start an imported cosmetics franchise, do melting massages at the spa on the train, drive a huge moving truck, give sculpting seminars!  It may get off to a slow start, but once rolling, it just keeps going.  Dedicated, determined, loyal.  Simple, common sense solutions.  Luxurious hair, earthy beauty, natural fabrics, furs.  It looks further ahead than its own two feet, so makes ‘lucky’ choices.  Well grounded, centered, satisfied, peaceful.  Smooth jazz.

Jupiter may, at this time, be even a bit more languid than just the easy-go-flow of Taurus because it is sextile Neptune (only this one time, not the usual 3 times) upon entry into Taurus, makes the exact aspect June 8!  Both are ‘religious’ in that Jupiter rules churches and sets the tenets of faith; Neptune is the Pisces planet, Pisces being the sign of spiritualism, meditation, meeting God on your own terms, often religious diversity.  Jupiter usually calls for adherence to the church’s philosophy, though can be open-minded and take up religious studies.  Pisces, is perhaps more Buddhism oriented, compassionate, yet can believe so passionately as to give one’s life for the cause, a devotee who lives in silence and service in the spiritual abode 24/7.  This aspect offers what works for you, the best of both, in your everyday life.  Jupiter in Taurus loves the armchair more than the airfare.  There better be a good reason to take that trip.  Probably chooses to make oms at home!  Neptune is now in Pisces, its own sign.  It, like Taurus, is usually gentle.  But don’t let this fool you.  Being gentle is one of the greatest powers on earth.  A good teacher can ask clever questions, sneak right up on you and let you think you thought of it yourself!  Feeling and being safe, opens all the gateways for learning.  Your eyes open right up wide with the happiness of the leap – insights, epiphanies, are the order of the day!  Let it be!  Make music!
