The Aries Fire Stellium is OVER.  Now as we enter Taurus, the sign of loyalty and steadfastness, what was new, or did you start, during that Aries stellium, that you would like to continue to have in your life?  What value did you bring in that you are happy to maintain?  I have a new student who is new to astrology, and she is taking in the principles amazingly quickly!  I started sharing some more garden space with another community gardener, and intend to grow crops I will harvest to store for winter food.

Wise old Saturn is holding the fort at his 10 degree Libra station (appears to be stationary, still, in the sky) from May 18 to July 8, turning direct (forward) June 12.  Those of you with planets at 8 through 12 degrees will feel the need to enforce or question the rules, make or break commitments, let go or take responsibility, respond to age issues, make career choices, engage in father/ing matters, build for a stable future.  Being overwhelmed burdens the Soul; timing that fits the deed and your needs and your Spirit makes all the difference.  Focus and do your best.  Make yourself proud!

Jupiter is making his last stand in Aries until entering earthy Taurus June 4, starting off a fine Saturday!  That will leave only Uranus in Aries, the lone wolf on its own again, but happily so in a sign of its same spirit, both Uranus and Aries loving freedom and independence!  Jupiter in Aries gives a last chance these 14 days to start what we will, get educated to be encouraged, have confidence, to lead the way, or follow someone we trust well.  It could be more fun than you have ever had before!  Frolicking is good!  Roller skate, hike, ride your bike!  Continue it with Jupiter in Taurus exercise; do the fun kind!  Long horseback rides, mountain walks, walk your dog!  Endurance and strength sports are satisfying.  Long distance and heavy weight.

Jupiter, good luck, fame, huge growth, in attractive Venus ruled Taurus can attract more money than God – they call it a BULL MARKET when the stock market is going UP!  Jupiter in Taurus can keep that money, hordes of it, may travel to the ashram for an extended stay, found a non-profit organic farm, raise horses, buy fine art, start an imported cosmetics franchise, do melting massages at the spa on the train, drive a huge moving truck, give sculpting seminars!  It may get off to a slow start, but once rolling, it just keeps going.  Dedicated, determined, loyal.  Simple, common sense solutions.  Luxurious hair, earthy beauty, natural fabrics, furs.  It looks further ahead than its own two feet, so makes ‘lucky’ choices.  Well grounded, centered, satisfied, peaceful.  Smooth jazz.

Jupiter may, at this time, be even a bit more languid than just the easy-go-flow of Taurus because it is sextile Neptune (only this one time, not the usual 3 times) upon entry into Taurus, makes the exact aspect June 8!  Both are ‘religious’ in that Jupiter rules churches and sets the tenets of faith; Neptune is the Pisces planet, Pisces being the sign of spiritualism, meditation, meeting God on your own terms, often religious diversity.  Jupiter usually calls for adherence to the church’s philosophy, though can be open-minded and take up religious studies.  Pisces, is perhaps more Buddhism oriented, compassionate, yet can believe so passionately as to give one’s life for the cause, a devotee who lives in silence and service in the spiritual abode 24/7.  This aspect offers what works for you, the best of both, in your everyday life.  Jupiter in Taurus loves the armchair more than the airfare.  There better be a good reason to take that trip.  Probably chooses to make oms at home!  Neptune is now in Pisces, its own sign.  It, like Taurus, is usually gentle.  But don’t let this fool you.  Being gentle is one of the greatest powers on earth.  A good teacher can ask clever questions, sneak right up on you and let you think you thought of it yourself!  Feeling and being safe, opens all the gateways for learning.  Your eyes open right up wide with the happiness of the leap – insights, epiphanies, are the order of the day!  Let it be!  Make music!

Robert Pattinson

All Taurus, May 13, 1986, Robert Pattinson, is a Brit, played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Quote: ‘Please don’t give me all my luck now. Make it all stretch. I don’t mind waiting. Make it stretch for 70 years.’ He’s a double Cancer – Moon and Ascendant, with his Taurus Sun sextile lucky and famous Jupiter in Pisces! Venus in Gemini gives a wonderful voice.

One of the beauties of earthy Taurus is they just ARE. No need for explanation or discussion. Just be yourself. That’s peace. Don’t need to please anyone. Dress comfortably. Go barefoot, get next to Mama Nature. Everything has value, fits in its natural niche. Doing what you want to do, what you naturally enjoy makes the most sense. Simple. This heart charm is attractive along with often the beauty of a sweet smile, lovely skin, sumptuous curves or great muscles! Hard work farming and eating well and organic go hand in hand with radiant health. In modern city culture that may translate to an urban garden, yoga, lifting weights. Strength is a Taurus asset, whether it is physical prowess, or the patience and perseverance to build a foundation that serves many, to love daily. Safety and regard are cherished traits that people feel they can trust. Reliability builds that trust. Once a Taurus is inspired to action, completing the job is just about guaranteed.

Beauty is a functional asset. It attracts people to your support as a person. It brings people to your cause. The magnetism of your performance draws people to love what you and they are doing so much that they must take care of themselves as well, to continue doing what is so good. Beauty is anywhere from your unique style of action, your endearing idiosyncrasies, your funny smile, exotic voice, to what our culture deems a fine physique, lovely body!  Think on what attracts you to things, to people? Is it emotional security, something that reminds you of a beautiful time in your life, exquisite music, a lovely place in nature, similarity to a loved one? What can you do to make yourself more attractive, more YOU?!  That’s all it takes. YOU are ultimate. When we are exactly that, Peace IS.

Now for some odd Taurus stats from Security Gripes:

• Murderers convicted is 11.4% lower than average (that’s a good thing)
• Burglary with convictions is 13.1% above the national level (Tauruses love to own things!  Sometimes kleptos. :)  )
• Military leaders of the world is 23.2% higher than any other sign (who would have thought?!)

No statistics on this one, but they are usually great huggers!!!

American Red Cross founder, Swiss Jean-Henri Dunant, was awarded the first Nobel Peace Prize in 1901.

ARIES is the first sign of Astrology’s first cross of the 3 Grand Crosses of Matter. Its cross is the Cardinal, as in the red bird, Cross. It’s four points are first, itself, Aries, Mars, the Warrior, Protector, Rescuer, Initiator. Opposite is Libra, Venus, the Beloved, partnerships of all kinds, equality, balance, respect, fairness both in beauty and in Spirit. The vertical axis is of Cancer, Moon, at the South, warm at home’s hearth, Mom’s nurturing. Opposite is Capricorn, Saturn, of the North, hard at work out in the world, building, fortifying, at times scrabbling for a toehold, maintaining.

The symbol of the American Red Cross, is red on white, Aries’s two colors! It was founded in Switzerland, a politically neutral country, for humanitarian purposes, to help soldiers. It was brought to the United States by Clara Barton after the Civil War. The symbol was chosen in gratitude to the Swiss founder, Jean Henri Dunant, using the reversed colors of their flag.

The Cardinal Cross is truly a cross of Matter. Without life, it doesn’t matter. Aries gives us that option for life and inspiration. Once gathered up, we can go home, be cared for, be loved, find productive outlet for our creative ability. Bravery and physical prowess are standard equipment for Aries. Standing up to a bully, in behalf of the underdog, when the odds are stacked pretty high, is merely a challenge. They wink at you over their shoulder as they lean right into the fray! Follow tight through the crowd, you’ll make it to the other side, or be first in line at the grocery store!

Ok, so not all Aries are that gallant. In fact there are some complaints they only think of themselves. And that may be true. Yet, we can learn to balance ourselves more appropriately. Take courage, say NO once in awhile. Say YES when you want it. Stand up. You can. Even if you fumble or are wrong. You can sort things out. At least you got started. Do you need to apologize? Would your Aries friend? Probably not. Should you apologize for just being yourself? Probably not.

In this time of needing great courage, stay steady in the Light. If you need help, be wise, ask for it. If you can give help, do it the ways you have that are so special to give, exactly as you can. I wish you and your loved ones the very best, with every breath.

In Dedication, and in Gratitude, to all those in Japan who are risking their lives to make things safe for us. They are Angels of a kind, heroes and heroines for sure.

Sendai, Japan Quake – Tsunami March 11, 2011

Today, March 11, Uranus (quakes) gave it a last kick at the 29th, last degree and last day of Pisces (ocean), before going into Aries, by shaking us with the Sendai, Japan Quake!  9.0 made it the largest earthquake to hit Japan and the fifth largest in the world since records began in 1900.  Google Person Finder for Sendai Quake, click here

Uranus is the planet of quakes, electricity.  It and Neptune, planet of the ocean, tsunamis, have been traveling closely together in late degrees since April 2009.  Neptune just entered its last degree, the 29th degree, March 5.  The 29th degree classically is thought of as at the end of your rope, sometimes the last chance, endings, fatalities, completions, maturity, a done deal, little can be done about what was, and you are on the brink of imminent irrevocable change.

This quake chart, just off coast of Sendai, Japan, has Uranus and Neptune both at 29 degrees, in each other’s signs!   Neptune is in the 7th house of relationships;  Uranus is in the 8th house, the house of death and transformation.  Aquarius is the 7th house cusp sign, and the sign Uranus rules.  Aquarius has to do with awakening, sometimes shocks, always change, making friends with people often very unlike us.  It also has to do with worldwide networking, the internet.  Early warnings were rapidly sent to the Pacific rim coastal areas.

Uranus is still T square, the Moon’s Nodes!  This is significant because the Moon is Queen of the tides!  Ocillations, waves, undulations, are both Lunar and Uranian!  Uranus is the planet of Aquarius.  Think of the Aquarian symbol.  Electrical, sound, light, waves.  T squares are challenges, breakages in patterns, impediments, pressures.  The nodes are now at 28 degrees.  Uranus at 29, just nudged them over the line.

Charts of major events are always a conglomerate of aspects that have reached a threshold.  Some of the aspects are background, have stirred the pot before the event occurs.  Long term, slower aspects show potential.  Others, often fast moving aspects, are triggers and the event at core, very close to exact.  Then there are the aspects still building, indicating the aftermath, how the matter is handled.

Recently we have had Jupiter square Pluto, Feb 25, and we are building to giant Jupiter’s Mar 17 perihelion (closest to Sun in 12 years and moving twice as fast as usual!) AND Mar 28, Jupiter opposite Rock of Gibraltar, hold-on-forever, concentrated, containing, Saturn!  In this chart they are in a wide T square, the Jupiter Pluto combo still smoldering, Jupiter already encountering the Saturn wall, making pressure.  This is all kinds of push/pull!  Jupiter simply has mass, can be a righteous bully, wants to move and does.  Pluto has power, and plenty of it, often unseen, a force to be reckoned with.  Saturn is stone cold, not giving in, will outwait you.  I’m dramatizing here to give you a sense of the symbolic stresses in play.   Jupiter at its time closest the sun, as it does once every 12 years, is more empowered than usual!

Just 2 days ago, March 9 Mars just had its 2 year perihelion!  It is at 12 degrees Pisces, midpoint (equidistantly between) Venus 10 Aquarius and Jupiter 10 Aries!  Mars rules Aries, so adds to Jupiter’s already amped energy!  Venus in Aquarius, sextile Jupiter, considered a protective aspect, perhaps mitigated circumstances, less were killed.  Some quakes and tsunamis have taken many more people.

The Moon, 0 degrees Gemini, square Chiron, 2 degrees Pisces, was the closest difficult aspect in time, with Moon sextile Mercury also at 2 degrees, in Aries.  The Moon can apply to the masses, the people, homes and businesses.  Chiron can be a wound, often rather fateful, unavoidable, even unfixable.  Pisces is the ocean, so a tidal sweeping, some never to return or be found, unknowns.

Our hearts go to those who have lost so much, many not even having a place to sleep, no possessions left.  Economic recovery is one thing, loss of loved ones goes deeper.  Wounds can be life changing, and the Chironic symbolism is played out to entirety.  Wounded, healer, teacher.
