Fittingly, it’s just two days before Winter Solstice, Sun into Capricorn! Saturn readies itself for its own special time of year by jumping into its own sign, a double Capricorn effect! Goats love that jumping thing and they often have very steady footing, daring to go where no one even wants to go, even ice climbing! While some bears are napping in the dark, others are out on the slopes racing at top speed, invigorated, cold air rushing by, down to the bottom, then ready to go back to the top and do it again! Ice skating is an inspiring skill! If you think Capricorn is a stodgy old sign, think again! Winter has its own kind of excitement!

After the frolic is over, it is sweet time having a hearty meal with friends, sitting by the fire, sharing grog and stories of journeys and of having overcome amazing challenges. One by one, people go off to their rooms, maybe you are left with reminiscing, going over what you will do differently next time. Images stream by. A stretch and it’s time to rest for another brilliant crisp day. As much as Saturn is a hard worker, and play can be hard work, Saturn makes you know it’s good to take time for yourself. We need those between times.

On the ground, Saturn in Capricorn are expert at building sustainable homes that will last forever, be well lived in for the right price! Remarkable features might be beautiful stained glass windows, skylights, strong timbers, special insulation. Landscaping may include reclaimed fencing, skillful terracing and artful stonework installations. Restoration and renovation are natural for them. Utilities are low and sustainably rendered.

Between nature’s laws and the rules for safe construction, Saturn and Capricorn have a good sense of what works and what doesn’t. They are good at law enforcement, often take on a parental role, position of CEO, the boss. Chores may be important and no driving a car before your time or going out with ones older than you! Knees may become important. Bending and proper surrender is a life skill. Overtaxing them has consequences. Bones and joints can only take so much stress. Don’t take yourself to the breaking point. Skin can suffer. Keep your pantry stocked with good quality food for road closed situations. Keep your body warm so you can get good rest.

In childhood, young Capricorns often have health challenges, but get super strong with age! They may be quite serious, but become cleverly funny, have a subtle wit, are truly funny comedians! Capricorn rules age. They are down to earth with a real smile when it comes. They deal with things as they happen and are often reliable to their friends even when they are down themselves. Saturn may bring some health cures, better living conditions and benefits for elders.

Saturn will reassesses relationships. Cappies take their relationships seriously. When they make a commitment their preference is to loyally keep it. Sometimes they stay too long. The other person may ‘need’ them. It has become a habit to suffer. They think it’s their fault. I’m no quitter. If I work hard enough and be a good person things will change. I’m too old to do this. Ok. Some of that may be true, but it doesn’t mean it will necessarily make it better. Take good care of yourself and talk with good solution oriented friends, advisors or counselors. If none of that is happening for you, wonderful! Keep letting your partner know how much you love them and are grateful they are in your life! They are lucky to have you!

SATURN RETURNS Saturn will be in Capricorn from Dec 19, 2017 and Dec 16, 2020. At the end of that time, Saturn will advance into Aquarius then retrograde back into Capricorn for awhile. If your Saturn is late Capricorn, check with your astrologer to see exactly when your Return is. Saturn was last in Capricorn 1988-91.

First Saturn Returns are at age 28/29. The second is about age 58. They can be serious. At age 28/29, many start lifelong careers, get significant promotions, get married, buy a house and the first child is on the way! For some, there can be hardships that cause delays and expected dreams never do come true. The Great Spirit has other plans for you. For some a Return may not even be a blip on the radar ’cause all’s well. 58 happens either way as well. There may be a second chance, retirement, a whole new tack in life! However it is, it will be Capricorn style.

CAPRICORN WITH OTHER SIGNS

Capricorn is the third and last of the Earth signs. The fertile lowlands and meadows, farms, are Taurus domain. Virgo tends the plants and animals, does superb property management, cleans the houses, is nanny to the children. Capricorn views them from that breathtaking hillside building they built, or from the high rise top floor, penthouse suite!

Earth signs generally get along with Water signs, but not always. Saturn/Cap is a hard worker. Pisces not so much. If the surf is up, they’re gone. If the business is music/film it can be a downright magical combination! Cancer and Cap are both highly interested in financial security, a good home for the family, family lineage, good jobs, long term relationships. Cap needs to consider their feelings, spend time with them. Scorpio is not only interested in superior financial commitments and insurance, a secure domain and business, but also needs dedicated and devoted relationships – both personal and business. Scorpio also wants your good health – state of mind and body. Capricorn is right on board with all that. Capricorn deeply values longevity and a history of success and integrity.

Saturn and Capricorn challenge the other Cardinal signs, Aries, Cancer and Libra. Aries is boss allergic, independent to a fault! They are innovative rather than obedient. They want to be first! Cap needs to give them room to maneuver. Cancers like a supportive mothering relationship, consideration of their feelings. Saturn/Cap is sometimes just all business. Either do the job now or come back when you can. They don’t have time for this, get someone else. And maybe they are right. Let it go and get work more to your Spirit. At home, Cap, make time for the family and don’t talk business at that special time. They love you. Libra is social and wants you to be polite. Cap can be so to the point they are brusque with no amenities. Libra may be caught crying in the restroom. If Libra wasn’t such a good front person and so artistic, Cap might send them packing in a minute. If your boss is a Sat/Cap type, see if they balance their sometimes lack of manners with respect and acknowledge your good work. Cap, do a little thinking first. It may be quite worth those extra moments.

That leaves Fire signs Leo and Sagittarius, and Air signs Gemini and Aquarius. Leo can be a little flamboyant, which often warms that Caps heart as they can walk proud with such a glamourous Being! Sagittarius is hard to pin down since they love to travel so much, so unless it’s a travel business they do together, Cap doesn’t feel they are reliable. Gemini just keeps Cap spinning. The information better be good and succinctly given or they are banished! Aquarius was born to break rules and Sat/Cap lives for rules. However, if they are collaborating in a community organization, it works!

‘I’ll take you there’ has a lot of options. A great trail guide, the Path through your neighborhood, a horse you love, buying a truck with 4 wheel tires, super sex, teaching sign language to the deaf, practicing your Faith, a march for land or people, being an informant. You might become famous or infamous or teach for 40 years seeing many changes. Your lucky chance may have put you on the map. You may think you have missed it and are regrouping, or you are still waiting for your time to come! Life takes many turns and has many precious moments!

A backpacker pal of mine always said ‘Pick a room with a view!’ That meant where you stopped for a trail break, to placing your tent for a perfect wake up view to start your next day. In your life, pick a room with a view – great people, a job that fills your heart, a location that sings to you, a home that sleeps you peacefully and requires only an amount of care that lets you be away for a period of time with no regrets!

Location, location, location! In Sagittarius’s mind, that’s often one to another, plenty of vacations! In business that can mean a franchise, import/exports, additional locations or special production locations! Sagittarians learn quickly and often move on, and it may not be on your schedule. Surf’s up in Africa or Australia (Sagittarian continent), snow fell & slopes are open! However, if your Sag has Mercury and/or Venus in Capricorn, they may stick around, quite dedicated to the work, or be excellent business people in world businesses that require travel. It’s more planned than impetuous.

What a rich fantasy life! Or it may be 100% real. They travel for food and culture and write the book or blog on world cuisine. Their observations of sacred places are keen, forthright, and show a perspective that paints an irresistible picture of an adventure that is there in the offing. If they aren’t writing, they are publishing! They recognize a good read! Images of world people make you want to go there to help or be taught or both…or just be with them for a time. Sagittarians give you outrageous tips on how to travel cheap or in luxury beyond compare! You may need physical assistance – hire a travel helper, get the perfect accommodations and choose gentle nearby places to see by transportation. If you are young and at prime, it may be no less than Kathmandu, and often cross country! Depending on your game, you might be traveling through sacred portals checking out other dimensions!

Goofy or brilliant, friendly, great storytellers, Sagittarians are usually welcome wherever they go. They are interested in who you are, what you believe, what you do and how you do it. They don’t mind getting dirty, love dancing at night! Sadly, there are times the TruthTeller is unknowingly rude with questions or comments, or offensively loud per the occasion. True, sometimes there are unfriendly areas or times of danger with narrow escapes! But lucky as they are and always forward thinking, without thinking they have already subconsciously, intuitively noted backdoors and escape routes. They are quick to respond, and they are away!

Sagittarians are a spirited fire sign and generally healthy forever! If you are senior, the backcountry and off the beaten track days may be over. A tour group, places that have medical services you might anticipate needing are your best choices. Otherwise you might be perfectly able to take your chances and the local shaman will take care of you. Rest at the Temple. When you are in town, at home, take good care of your body. Do what keeps your health. Avoid long term behaviors that have consequences later on. Aging is a reality and it always comes sooner than we want, LOL!

Relationships may be a challenge. Saggies can make big promises and tell you what they think will make you happy because they want you to be happy. But it may not be them that is the one. At first arrival they might think they can do it, but then they are gone. If they have a history of traveling, see if you would like to go with them. If you aren’t made of the same stuff, at some point you may come home and they go on. Could be bittersweet – the adventure of a lifetime, but you miss them terribly. So get to know your Sag. They are big Souls. If you always wanted to go on a big trip, do it. But don’t keep them prisoner.

Some Sagittarians are quite opinionated, narrow minded, and passionately so! If you are of the same opinions, no problem. Most have a wide angled philosophy, glad to meet anyone, anywhere, anytime! Half horse, half human, Sagittarian centaurs are their own brand of ‘biracial!’ They are naturally accommodating of, tolerate differences, or, in fear of their own true wildness, vehemently oppose difference! The open side of them learns from every race, culture, faith and age. They see the goodness each has to offer. But if the range of strange they are capable of is too much for you, it’s fun to watch for awhile, then you may fade away. The middle ground is good – a few hot opinions, plenty of learning.

They are both hunters and gatherers. They are seekers of greater wisdom. They gather the diamonds as they go. Sag is what we call a mutable sign, adaptable. They can pull off mergers of informations and people like no one else! They magically appear in your life, adjust a few factors, clear up some of your thinking, then vanish to their next spiritual assignment, walking the BlessingWay of all, women and men. As the Winged Pegasus, they fly above guiding the way.

Sagittarius 2017 – 2018 Celestial Highlights!

December 13, 14 – The Geminids, king of the meteor showers!

After being washed out by the 2016 December supermoon, the Geminids will come roaring back in 2017 near the New Moon, a darker sky! The famous and bright meteor shower will peak on the night of Dec. 13 and morning of Dec. 14.

The Geminids are considered one of the best meteor showers every year because the individual meteors are bright, and the peak can see meteors stream across the sky at rates as high as 120 meteors an hour. Under light-polluted skies, fewer meteors will be visible.

The Geminids meteor shower is nearly 200 years old, according to known records — the first recorded observation was in 1833 from a riverboat on the Mississippi River — and is still going strong. In fact, it’s growing stronger. That’s because Jupiter’s gravity has tugged the stream of particles from the shower’s source ― the asteroid 3200 Phaethon ― closer to Earth over the centuries.

Outer Planet Transit Aspects Sagittarius 2017 – Dec 2018!

1. We are now starting a string of astrologically positive aspects that adventure through Nov 1 2018!
2. Three outer planets, Uranus, Chiron, and Jupiter, are changing signs in Sagittarius’s year to come. Uranus & Chiron twice, Jupiter once, for a total of 5 times! When the “Full Cold Moon” rises on Dec. 3, it will also be the first and last “Supermoon” of 2017! A Supermoon is a Full or New Moon at perigee (nearest approach to The Earth). This makes the moon appear up to 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than usual. If you are coastal, Surf’s UP!

This Full Moon is perfect to spread its wings illuminating the Jupiter trine Neptune of the day before! That trine is a blessed ‘dreams come true’ aspect that happens two more times during 2018, May 25 through Aug 19! This is the culmination of what has been the preview time for May-August. We have been setting our goals, finding the best ways to make it all happen! The Full Moon spans Gemini, the Word, to Sagittarius, the Pathfinder! Information and purpose. Jupiter is Sagittarius’s planet! AND, it all links by degrees! All four are at ELEVEN degrees!

Jupiter is in Scorpio, a heads up planet in a down deep sign! Scorpio has the deepest desires, founded from its roots in the Earth, in subterranean caverns with underground rivers! They are not afraid of danger, scuba divers in wild territory. Jupiter is like a periscope, making sure things topside are safe and clear for the undertaking. Jupiter rules longevity and Scorpio rules death. What a mix! But then, Scorpio is ruled by the Phoenix that rises from its own ashes! Jupiter carries that momentum forward. Wise attention to health, avoiding toxic behaviors, keeps us clean and in top shape!

Neptune in its own sign Pisces makes magic! Scorpios are survival experts and fast healing, great healers! In the world, Neptune is the Ocean and its shores. Out of this world it is like a ship far, far at sea. It has to do with the spiritual realm, that we become part of when we meditate. We can feel not just our Self, but that Self in others, universal being – we are one. We have insights to matters in our lives. Venus leads the way of the four planets in Sagittarius, as Mercury has retrograded the day before, Dec 2 at the last degree of Sagittarius! Mercury is still in the 8 day station (turning point), focusing, concentrating, anchoring his ideas. This 18 day foursome, stellium, started Dec 1 and continues through Dec 19 when Saturn enters Capricorn! Mercury is going back to meet Saturn, makes the conjunction Dec 6. Since Mercury crossed this degree as he was going forward, it is a review for him. With Saturn he is making commitments, cementing certain agreements. Saturn charges him to report accurately, no embellishing. Mercury inspires Saturn to think more broadly, to encompass the entire territory, have a truly realistic plan for his future, likely bigger to build than previously expected, but worth the extra time and work.

Venus at 2 degrees stands alone. She is free to do a few escapes or escapades! She was just in Scorpio and has discovered some extra fun things to do! In Sagittarius, she can show the beauty of far lands and peoples. She can teach something unpalatable and people love it! She shows its intrinsic value and how to raise it to respect, to recognize a style that is delightfully different. That old stuff in the back of the garage takes on new meaning! Philosophical discussions are blessed. Everyone prospers!

It is true, Moon and Sun T Square Neptune! Squares can block energy, and can release energy as facing and dealing with the blocks  opens gateways. Sagittarius sees the Path ahead. Pisces can obscure the exact steps until it’s time, then miraculously the fog clears and we’re on! Delays or not knowing are not always ‘bad.’ Denial keeps us from making change. Know that you are safe, be in a safe place and you will be pleased with the steps you can take. They may be small at first as you test the waters. That’s perfect. You are you, do it your own way, but do note your personal progress. Moon in Gemini can overwhelm you with chatter, but then that blanket of input can be what was needed to make a difference. Maybe it acted as a droning, you ignore and relax, and all of a sudden a phrase catches your attention, and some things fall right into place! Galactic Center New Moon!

In the dark of the New Moon, expanded visions and wisdom anoint our Soul, especially this time!!! This one is conjunct the Galactic Center, the center of our Galaxy, 26 Sagittarius! The Galactic Center, GC, is a place of huge significance. It ties us with Souls or Beings beyond our wildest imaginings! We may dream or have insights, but more likely impressions that we don’t entirely understand yet feel are important, compelled by, point a direction. We are inclined to be more inclusive, to let go of the daily fraught, raise our sights higher. We see what surrounds us with greater comprehension.

Saturn conjuncts/conjuncted the GC 26th degree Nov 15 to 24, as it did 28, 29 years ago! Saturn in Sagittarius calls us to take charge of our future. Work it. Be present, accept the mission. Be respectful of all Paths. It started Feb 16 at 26 Sag 0, moved into 27 degrees and ‘stationed,’ stood still there – was direct/moving forward, then April 5 retrograded/turned back. It went back to 26/0 degrees May 25, right after the the second Saturn trine Uranus! That was three months that we were deeply infused. Now we see what needs doing, it’s time. Recent floods, fires and quakes have called for survival, generosity and recovery. I won’t say restoration, because it’s time to do better. We want to build a fresh future. Let go, move forward clean and clear.

Saturn is now at 29 degrees Sagittarius, completing his Sagittarius promises. This New Moon tunes us in exactly for one last boost before Saturn leaves Sag and enters his own sign Capricorn Dec 19, just before Winter Solstice! We mustn’t forget the long term goals and the recent successes they are built on. Brick by brick. We must keep the greater picture in mind, why we are fighting the good fight, forever expanding in a good way. Keep looking over that Rainbow!

Our 26 Sagittarius New Moon is opposite Polaris, the North Star, and Betelgeuse at 28 Gemini! Polaris is like a little Galactic Center of its own. It stands almost motionless in the sky, and all the stars of the Northern sky appear to rotate around it. It has been a ‘guiding light’ to sailors, caravans of old winding their way over the desert by night, and other navigators. The Chinese considered the Pole Star as “the great honorable Lord of the Heavens.” Elsbeth Ebertin said ‘The Pole Star serves as a guide and indicator. If it is conjunct with planets in the angles [ASC/MC], the native will have a good sense of discretion and is able to follow “his instinct”. He clearly recognizes his aims, and will pursue and achieve them.’

Betelgeuze, the main star of Orion, the great winter constellation of the north. According to the old master Ptolemy, Betelgeuze gives martial honor, preferment and wealth. It can indicate a superior athlete, being endowed with outstanding agility and speed of body. And, luck, success and everlasting fame are promised.

Being opposite the New Moon indicates a need to reach across the table and introduce yourself. There will be differences and integration through sharings. Offer your best.

Saturn and the Moon and Sun are part of a five planet Sagittarian stellium! They are all in a connected string starting with Mercury at 15 degrees. Venus is next at 21, then Moon/Sun 26 and Saturn at the final Sag degree 29!

15 degrees is at the mid of Sagittarius tipping the balance toward the completion side. However, Mercury is Retrograde, will go back two more degrees, to 13, to review unfinished ideas. So not quite there yet. Mercury conjuncted Venus the 15th, giving her his accum of ideas so far, for her to carry forward for him. Moon shared sweets with Venus at 10:34 AM Pacific, 12 hours earlier than the New Moon. Have breakfast with someone special that morning! She shared Mercury’s info with Moon. Moon in turn, shares with Father Sun who lights it all up! Mercury’s wee idea becomes important for all to see, so attend this sequence if your chart connects with these degrees. Quite hopeful! Mercury turns forward the 22nd but doesn’t catch up with Venus until Mar 4 at 26 Pisces, square the Galactic Center! They have then been through Sag, Cap, AQ and Pisces, getting a bit of perspective, but for the moment, Mar 4, things are stalled or need extra attention to push on through. Maybe something was left out. Go back to December 15th for the clue.

Venus figures prominently because she first squares Chiron, then trines Uranus in Aries!

The square with Chiron can be a temporary challenge with your love life, business or health. Eat well. Take time to talk things over. Pay attention to what needs doing. It may come and go quickly and show you a weak spot that needs strengthening. Do shore up that area so it doesn’t become a problem down the road.

Venus with Uranus may sweep you off your feet, so don’t forget to make notes about that Chiron item! Both are in fire signs, they have the spark! Fascination, inspiration, wisdom and crazy exhilaration! Since Uranus is retrograde, he is coming back to meet her! She so admires how quick he is on his feet, his dance moves are like blazing lightning! She is impressed by his instant intelligence and he ‘gets’ her! Her long vision is totally understood by him and he raises the ante! They make their exact aspect the afternoon and evening of Dec 20! It’s your Winter Solstice gift if it connects with your chart 24 Sagittarius/Aries! Fantastic and wicked great ideas! Could be a 3 day affair, but it will leave you breathless with memories!

Sagittarius wants to run with it, ride the horse into the wind, skate so fast your hair goes backward! Sag will go anywhere it can, chatting and consulting for the whole enchilada! Different cultures blend and everyone is thrilled to find such grand and gallant solutions! It’s so much fun checking out the possibilities. Your mind expands right in front of your eyes! Moon is no fool, in Sagittarius might surprise you with a charming funny story you can’t resist! Sun has a big heart, wants knowledge to bring people together, to achieve greater goals one couldn’t do alone. Moon is less shy, Sun feels sheltered by her loyalty and love. Under umbrellas in the courtyard, Moon opens the cafe featuring exotic cultural foods; Sun brings the customers!

Saturn at 29, the end of the sign, is mature, experienced. He looks at the strength in the structure. He reminds them to make timely changes – a cafe is only a metaphor for what you might actually do. You might write a story that centers around a family in a multicultural neighborhood and it gets published. Saturn looks reality right in the face and if you listen, he will tell you reasonably your chances for success. He will have sensible reasons for his appraisal. Some things could be adjusted, but if the whole idea is off, I would give it some serious thought and check out other possible options. Saturn can save you a ton of time. If he says go for it, ask him where the most work will be needed. Betcha he will be right!

The Jupiter trine Neptune ‘dreams come true’ aspect is over, but the ideas that came with it aren’t! You have the inspiration. Keep working your plan.

Mars stands unhindered, alone in Scorpio. Yes, Jupiter is there, but they are 9 degrees apart. Mars won’t catch up until Jan 6. For now he is on his own. Mars likes being on his own. Independent cuss, though in Scorpio he may be seeking a mate, a forever mate. Don’t be tricked, trapped, bought or sold, or seduced before your time. If you have good chart combinations, it could be the love of a lifetime. Mars wants to lead, fight for your rights, get you started on your own! In Scorpio he can show you the way to acquiring the funding you need, help you secure your financial footing. He may be inscrutable, or stand right in front of you until you see. You may grow to trust him with your life. But get a credit check and find out his relationship and business history. Common sense. If you feel doing that might threaten your relationship, ask yourself why.

As our last New Moon was in a Bowl Pattern, uncommon, so is this one! A Bowl pattern attracts and collects energy in the many ways its planets are in their signs, the circuits they make or don’t among themselves. The energy is contemplated, examined, sorted, healed, enhanced, energized, redistributed. It may be partially or all held for use by the recipient, or perhaps for safekeeping. When the time is right, all or part of it may be poured forth back into the Universe to hold a specific place in the Light Grid. It may be sent to be a receiver/transmitter. It may be called to in turn heal a weak spot in the valence. You can use this kind of energy sustenance to repair, as an upgrade replacement, or as a system connection of your own. A clean array can attract more amazing energy to mingle with and upgrade to further levels of understanding. No limits! That is especially true with the major magnetic sign of this bowl being Sagittarius! Hopeful, confident, abundant, leading the way!

Depending on time of day and where on earth this New Moon chart occurs, the ‘bowl’ may be over the top of the chart acting as a hood! Rather than collecting from above, it gathers rising energy forms from below or ones floating about with no particular destination. Some are keepers, some are transformed and put to a greater use, others yet are dropped to shift and circulate further until they return and are ready to fit the scenario of the ‘bowl.’ Or they just move on to where they do fit, or are forever wanderers. The keepers, the ones the bowl processes, then may be like a living shower of energy collected, potently merged, united in cause, dispersed into the mainstream to magnetize others.

So here we all stand, present and collected at the Galactic Center together! The Light of all the stars shines on us. Listen for all you are worth. Send in your two cents and be counted. We are one planet’s collective Spirit. There are things we don’t understand yet. Other things we truly know in our Souls.

Mercury Retrograde Sagittarius, Galactic Center!

This is the last Mercury Retrograde of 2017! The next one will be in March 2018 in Aries, another fire sign! Revisions will be spirited! Last Rx, Leo/Virgo, I touted as the most significant of 2017 due to the US Total Solar Eclipse during the Rx and all the New & Full Moon connections! This one is important because it hosts Saturn’s 29 year sign connection with the Galactic Center, and its change from Sagittarius into its own sign Capricorn! Mercury guides us across this threshold, stirring things up so we see the living process of Father Time’s sign change.

While Saturn is still in Sagittarius, it is conjunct the GALACTIC CENTER, 26 Sagittarius, Nov 15 to 23! The Mercury Rx cycles starts Nov 15, so for the first 8 days of the Rx cycle, it is a time of ‘huge infusion,’ the portal to and through the Galaxy and beyond is available! And, the Nov 18 Scorpio New Moon makes us a more sensitive receiver, deepens our perceptions. Dec 17 the Sun makes its annual conjunction with the GC, but this time its the Sagittarius New Moon, Moon and Sun, AT the GC! Since it is during Mercury retrograde, it performs some kind of a retrieval, a remembrance, revives something that must be updated, regathered and not left behind.

In those 8 days Saturn is at the GC, Mercury is 13 to 24 degrees Sagittarius. Mercury will recross those degrees twice more, retrograde Dec 10-22, then when forward Dec 22 to Jan 6, finishing the Mercury Rx cycle. Mercury will itself conjunct the GC 3 times – Nov 26/27, Rx Dec 8 and Jan 7/8, 2018. At the times Mercury is in the degrees it was at when Saturn was at the GC, and when Mercury conjuncts the GC, take special time to check in, be more alert to signs. Ask that the highest be done and that you be shown how to get there, whether it is personal or for the world. Blessed be.

Switchbacks, retrogrades, make it easy to get up the mountain, make it possible! This Rx is in Sagittarius, and Sagittarius would surely be going up as the ascending arrow, its sign symbol, indicates. You do need to be careful that you don’t kick rocks off the trail, as there are often others below you.

As you ascend, the Sagittarian view just keeps getting bigger, more expansive, inclusive. You get a picture of the layout of the land and where the people are. You make adjustments in your thinking and attention. Unless you have been on that trail before, it’s still a guess if the next rise is the top or a false top with more yet to go. At the top it can be exhilarating, even if it is plenty hot, or cold as all get out plus a dangerous icy wind and slippery! Sometimes it’s a languishing picnic, fill-your-eyes rest stop, pictures of all directions, poses of prowess! Other times it’s a quick snap, we made it, let’s get down outta here! But you did it!

Use retrogrades fully by being alert, open to the broader view, new opportunities. As with mountain hikes, there are new visions around the corner, greater options possible, because the other planets keep right on moving, while Mercury is refreshing the screen and thinking things through. One step leads to another. Things absolutely do change! They are supposed to.

Dates, Degrees & Signs

The three part cycle starts Nov 15 at 13 Sag. Mercury goes up to 29 Sag, the very end of Sag, and retrogrades Dec 2, back to 13. He then turns forward, direct, Dec 22, the day after Winter Solstice (Saturn newly in Capricorn as of Dec 19) and goes back to 29 Sag on Jan 10, 2018, crosses the threshold into Capricorn that very day, and continues on into the New Year.

The Mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sag and Pisces will be challenged. Earth signs Taurus and Capricorn prefer things stable and steady, but they are not exempt. Other fire, Aries and Leo, and air signs, Libra and Aquarius, will enjoy the shifts and changes! Mercury will midpoint sextile connect with Libra and Aquarius acting as their go between, plugging in astounding ideas just as fast as they can take them in. Have a party with all your Libra, Sag and AQ friends!

If the retrograde connects with your chart, here are some good tips!

Prepare well for the retrograde. Get mechanical items serviced – with Sag, that especially means vehicles, travel conveyances and image devices – cameras, video, telescopes, cell phones. Get new apps well in advance, and learn to use them with ease. Be sure traveling companions have all their shots, including your pets. Have your schedule handy. Keep your goals in mind, though don’t be surprised if they suddenly change directions!

During the retrograde, keep irreplaceable valuables with you. No stowing with your luggage in the hold. No important papers tossed in the backseat because you are in a hurry. Keep your keys in mind, slow down and don’t lock them in the car! You could temporarily put them on a tether device around your neck – glasses too. Mercury Rx is famous for losing things, though sometimes something lost in the last Rx turns up in the current one! Don’t forget to immediately change your appt book the minute an adjustment is made in your timing. Call in advance to be certain you are scheduled and at the time you think the appt is. Scout about for paperwork needed at least the day before. Do get people to sign things that need to be signed, including yourself! Make follow up appts because we know automatically things will require further adjustments. It isn’t done until the 3rd phase is done Jan 10!

Take big promises with a grain of salt. Sagittarians believe in big and better, but due to no fault of their own, things change and the deal can’t be made after all. They didn’t lie, they just didn’t know. During Mercury Rx, give the benefit of the doubt.  However, if one falls through, an even better one can happen! One just clears the way or leads to the next!

Never be afraid of a retrograde! It stirs the pot. Even as cherished ideas go up in flames, especially in Sagittarius, another door opens. Again, something better has the space to happen. Gather yourself. Grab it with your teeth and shake it for the best to fall out! Don’t let go until it does! Plan to use every precious bit of information that comes your way. The computer goes down? Get a better one, upgrade, get one better suited to your needs. A vacation falls through? Choose a better time and something more potent than your previous choice. Really look at it. You and circumstances have changed since you made that first plan. The dog eats your script? What you write next is surprisingly so much better! You were devastated at first, but now actually glad that happened! Your life will get better. Give it reasonable time and be proactive. The outcome depends partly on YOU! Be there!

After the Retrograde! In the third phase, the direct part when the retrograde is finishing, tidy up. Take a look at what you are left with, polish it, integrate it well. Make further plans with what goes well with you. Follow up on the best ideas. Get connected with some good people going your way! Grab one or two or three experienced consultants in your field and invite those people traveling your way. Hear them all out and merge some of your and their ideas and plans. Not all of their particular options may be ones you use now, maybe later, but they get you thinking! It’s likely to turn out much better than you expected! Collaboration makes things multiply! Each of you can promote the main project from your special vantage points!

RETROGRADE starts Dec 2 the same day as Jupiter, Sagittarius’s planet, trines Neptune. It is considered a Dreams-come-true aspect, travel and Soul healing. A good time to consult the Oracle’s Oracle, yet with Mercury starting his journey, all will not come out as predicted! Mercury in Sagittarius can lead Scorpio on, both can be a bit of tricksters. Mercury by nature, ruling Virgo, is opposite Pisces. Mercury co-rules Gemini, square Pisces, and in Sagittarius square Pisces, reports may be difficult to confirm, and even if confirmed, are not solid indicators. And yet Jupiter trine Neptune is considered wondrous, capable of significant miracles and psychic! Go eyes open, trust your core.

To add to it, the Dec 3 Gemini/Sagittarius Full Moon follows the next day! Gemini Moon sees a thousand facets; Sun in Sagittarius tries to gather them to a focus. Moon is intuitional and she knows when things are not in divine order in communications. She can be protective of the information held close to her bosom though Sag tries to tease her to tell. Mercury has two signs, Gemini is one. So he now in Sagittarius opposite Gemini, is at his most extensive range, with the Sun, is also circling for clues. The three part cycle finishes the same day Mercury joins Saturn in Capricorn Jan 10. Mercury conjuncts Saturn Jan 12, Jupiter sextiles Pluto Jan 15! When it’s done, it’s done! Mercury, the Communicator, now out of Sag and in Capricorn, can present his ideas to Saturn in the way Saturn can understand since his sign is Capricorn! It will be up front and personal Jan 12 when they are together. Jupiter sextile Pluto wants volumes of healing, both personal, as couples and business partners. Scorpio 2017 – 2018 Celestial Highlights!

Leo is the cat with 9 lives. Scorpio rises again! It is the Phoenix that rises from its own ashes!

If you are brave enough to venture out on Samhain night, Halloween, and if it is a moonless night, you will find an enchanting array of stars emblazoned across the celestial sphere. This year it is close to the Nov 3 Full Moon.

Rising along the southern horizon, Phoenix, an obscure constellation, spreads its wings into the night sky around 10:00 P.M.  Its highest star, in the center, is Ankaa. Although the constellation will never fully rise in the Northern Hemisphere, most of it can be seen only at Samhain [Halloween], remaining true to its elusive mythological nature. It is also a significant Samhain observation, as the phoenix is a symbol of death and rebirth. Search the sky along the horizon directly south (appropriately enough, the direction associated with elemental fire), to find Phoenix rising. The bright star Fomalhaut (part of the constellation Pisces) serves as your guide. Just above the treetops, Fomalhaut will be above and to the right of Phoenix’s wings.

Scorpios Clear the Path!

Nyx is the Greek Goddess of darkness and night, daughter of Chaos, a great beauty. She carries the cloak of the night. She sweeps away the day, covering the world with its darkness where new visions are born. In some stories she was the mother of Gaia and Uranus, mother of witches and sorceresses. She, like Hades, possessed a hood that made her able to look at the universe without being noticed.

The Phoenix rising from its own ashes represents the purification process, the Kundalini rising, awakening to the power we have deep within, releasing strength we didn’t know we have. Such miraculous Transformation may be painful, ecstatic, both! There is adjustment. There is vulnerability as we take on greater tasks of the Soul walking among the remaining live embers. Living is more sensitized. What we merely observed before now becomes a part of us. We have a deeper compassion and at the same time we know more when to let go when either they or we have done all that can be done at this time. We have a profound ability to share – listening, comfort, resources.

Our human psyche needs to be cleared of obsessive repetitive blocking thought patterns. Fears can be exorcised. Horrific past life and current abuses need to be replaced by healing actions of ourselves and others. Building a safe cocoon of trust with others who understand and are strong is needed for dark times that come as part of natural processes.

As the Phoenix allows the fire of Ascension, we must purge our haunting desires. Some toxic foods and behaviors, abusive input allowed from others, can be avoided. Spend less time in those places, or none at all! Practice change. Let your body heal that you may think clearly. Be genuine in letting go of judgments. Send care when you are strong enough not to be pulled back into a trouble zone.

In these times of recent natural disasters worldwide, pray for symbolic debris to be cleared for creating something new, better. Hospitals with updated apparatus – new departments, teachers that needed that chance to enhance learning, for new relationships that are formed, for new ways of relating. Let that enchanting Scorpio smile of yours brighten the way. Volunteer, give a helping hand. Surprise someone with a gift, no matter how small. Let them know you are thinking of them, even love them. Make that phone call and keep it an equal exchange of Spirit – listen with heart, tell something meaningful about yourself. Start small, build big.

Children see how we do – especially Scorpio children! They have keen eyes, ears and hearts. Let them see what you do that would be the way they would like to be treated, or as you wished you had been treated when you were a little one. Clear the way for them to proceed, be strong. Allow them to admit faults, tell you who they are and what they need. If you don’t be able to spend as much time with them personally, see what you can do about that. Clear yourself.

Elders may need some special time too as they have aging matters and are less able to take care of themselves, fret about it. Do what you can, know your limits, get help. Along with Virgo, many caregivers have strong Scorpio as well. They clean up, administer healing remedies, secure medical care, assist will making, often manage monies, counsel and keep your elder on an even keel when they can, and interface with family. Their know-how and recommendations are invaluable.

Relationships are serious for Scorpios. Their intent is to share deeply. Sexuality is one of their gifts. Healing though this closeness is just about immortal! Some will cheat, but if they are not the cheating kind, you can trust them forever in any situation. If you lie, steal from them, or you cheat, they may forgive and forgive, but when they give up, it’s over. They clear their own Path and move on. No begging on earth will bring them back.

Making investments is another of their gifts. Scorpios move our money around to the best places possible. They clear the path to astute business mergers. Wednesday April 26, 5:16 AM Pacific at 6 Taurus 27! 

Hang onto your socks, Earthlings! In celebration of the International Year of Astronomy 2009, NASA’s Great Observatories — the Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitzer Space Telescope, and the Chandra X-ray Observatory — collaborated to produce an unprecedented image of the central region of our Milky Way galaxy! This image takes up about 1 degree across the sky. The Galactic Center is the white area to the right just below center.

First of four 2017 supermoons, a new supermoon! The new moons on April 26, May 25 and June 24 all qualify as supermoons. Tides are higher. Spirits have more volume! In Taurus that can mean more need for closeness, candles and romance, good food and lots of it, or an urge to secure our resources! We might exercise more or start a New Moon plan to do so!

This Taurus New Moon opens gentle doors to breaking down the barriers of the April 30 Saturn square Chiron healing. Chiron doesn’t always want healing, or give up secrets of the healing arts easily. Not all healing is comfortable as we let go, shift our lives, make adjustments. Sometimes we lose close relationships. Careers and businesses ventures may be challenged, breakthroughs possible. Recovery can be hard work, but we step out of the crucible over the threshold, a new person, no longer vulnerable to that old condition. Taurus can be the calming balm, soothing. It gives us fortitude, patience, determination to best the odds, endure until we are able to stand up again, to live in better ways.

Saturn in Sagittarius is retrograde, going back to make his second trine with Uranus May 18! An old Master, he is experienced, he knows that Uranian change is smart evolution, inevitable. Uranus is the rebel ahead of his time, Aries is the volatile Leader of Light, Mercury is the Word – in this case shouted! I suspect the April 29 Climate March will have super impact!

The GALACTIC CENTER figures strongly in our New Moon chart! Saturn is at 27 Sagittarius, one degree of the GC! Yes, he squares Chiron, but also trines Uranus at 25 Aries, and Mercury at 26 Aries, they in lucky trine with the GC! Uranus, ruling the heavens, IS our galactic planet, and Mercury of mind is considered exalted in Uranus’s sign Aquarius. Mercury with Uranus is positively brilliant! Ideas ahead of their time, research that amazes the world. Mercury wants to talk, download! Probably intergalactic at this point! Just tune the dial! Speech, communications are emphasized! It can be gibberish to genius, higher learning in progress. Breathless with keen excitement, electrified fingers reach out to touch! We are alive and transforming ourselves and others at once!

Mercury is retrograde in Aries. Though fast in Aries, Mercury retrograde is also reviewing, turning it’s thoughts, going over what was done, might have been missed, what to do, how to do it better and be more to the point until May 3! He turns forward then and definitely puts things into action, trials and finishing details until he enters Taurus again May 15. From then on there needs to be visible progress. Aries is mind; Taurus is matter. Make time to think and be ready to use the ideas you have now for good results to come.

Mercury and Mars, the planet of Aries, are in mutual reception, in each other’s signs. With one eye over the shoulder, the other looking straight ahead, right between your eyes, sequences are instantly understood. With Mars in Gemini, the vision is all encompassing, scans are comprehensive and as fast as a blink! Trust your flash of insight; it is gifted. In a few days Venus concludes her mission here, goes into Aries, the first degree of the entire zodiac, Friday the 28th, 6:18 AM Pacific. Minutes later, Mercury then conjuncts Uranus in Aries at 7:50 AM! A feisty and zesty morning! Go to breakfast with your confidants and colleagues! Ask for their support with your causes; give yours to theirs as you can.

The Second Labor of Hercules

Alone and still filled with deep distress, Hercules must rescue a sacred bull [Taurus] from its intended sacrifice to Minos, King of Crete and deliver it to the mainland. On the island, where the bull is captive, is a vast maze, which can lure the adventurous to their bewilderment. Here, following the gleaming star shining from its forehead, Hercules pursues the bull from place to place. Single-handed, he captures it and rides it like a horse through the waters to the mainland, surrounded by the seven Sisters [Pleiades constellation]. He leads it to the Holy Place and delivers it safely to its guardians.

Today, the goal is attained through group effort. This group is ruled by Taurus, and to it that divine Taurian energy brings ‘illumination and the attainment of the vision’. The Scorpio/Taurus Full Moon opens our wings to the May 17/18 companion aspects, Jupiter inconjunct Neptune and Saturn trine Uranus!

Optimistic Jupiter in Libra visions as far off in time and space as it can! Neptune IS time and space, boundless. An inconjunct aspect invites exploration, peripheral vision, a detour to another dimension! Diversions, distractions and divisions. It can seem things are out of control, but comparisons are made, sensitivity is registered. Jupiter instinctively looks for the best. At any given time things only go so far as new cloaks are able to be tried on. Go lightly as options are considered. Rather than immediate stern defenses, ask questions and invite answers. There may be confusion that seems like mindlessness, but things get sorted out in time. If it is an emergency, stamp your foot and get everyone back to center focus ASAP!

Saturn makes the trine with Uranus May 18. He is the planet of time, age, wisdom earned by experience. Saturn employs boundaries for prevention and protection, regulates flow and distribution. Uranus is the planet of freedom, inevitable evolution, sweeping change, the heavens, sudden shifts of consciousness! There are no boundaries! Saturn linked with Uranus by a trine of success, can ride the plane, shift to different levels of awareness, bring the information home and put the amazing inventions to work for all! Universal blessings. Saturn sees the reality of change and picks what will work most usefully in current times. Those who are innovative for the greater good, and work in harmony with friends and community, will prosper. The whole system is advanced fortuitously. Remarkable!

Neither of these aspects may happen with flashing lights, but soon enough, here and there, results will become evident and the tide will change. What once were isolated outposts become networked teams. A less volatile resistance, more practical posture will be taken as new ideas, cultural integration, proves to work.

What does POP is that Saturn is at 26 Sagittarius May 8 to June 1, the very degree of the GALACTIC CENTER, the center of our Milky Way Galaxy! If you are so lucky to have factors within a degree or two of that number, what a mighty potential there can be if you are ready for it! Sagittarius usually does well with Aries and Leo, Libra and Aquarius, sometimes Gemini.

Moon Scorpio, Sun Taurus! What a mighty combo, fixed signs. Taurus, of Earth herself, immovable, organic, substantial. Scorpio is the sign of the Underworld with all his secrets. How can you change what you can’t see? Both are senses oriented, Taurus sensuality, Scorpio sexuality! Taurus holds position, anchors, while Scorpio ignites the Kundalini fire at the base of your spine! If you can’t see it, maybe you can feel it!

It may be a delicate situation. The huge red giant star Aldebaran holds the fire in the right eye of the Bull! If Taurus pushes, Scorpio retreats. Scorpio tries to circle around behind, but Taurus has always lived in the pasture and senses predator presence. And with their Taurus outwaiting solidarity, hooves and horns, they don’t be pushed much either. Scorpio’s star is Antares, also reddish, and has the cat eyes, Shaula and Lesath, in its tail! A scorpion may be small, but can be deadly and accurate. Powerful guardians. As a therapist they can change your life with few to no words at all! Symbolically Scorpio sees over, within, behind and beyond – the Past, current status, consequences of your actions. If your Taurus-Scorpio union has a mutual purpose, use each other’s powers wisely toward your goal. Let the rest be.

Moon in Scorpio is sextile Scorpio’s planet Pluto in Capricorn! It’s the power to use the old black magic! It can be charismatic, sneaky in the kitchen, love bites in the bedroom, killer with real estate, a high end thief, a healer of extreme suffering. Emotions run the gamut, from none and numb to inundation. Children and family, both Mom and Dad, weigh in strongly. Career may be easily achieved, or obsessive and wickedly never ending, never enough, or simply a lifelong dedication!

Sun trine Pluto, is a powerful wealth aspect. So many famous people have this aspect – not in these signs necessarily. Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton, and slinky Shakira. Also tragic Princess Grace Kelly, scary Bruce Lee, Christina Ricci, Colin Farrell, Charles Bronson, Steven Seagal, Cate Blanchette, Francois Mitterand, Rupert Murdoch, Buster Keaton and George Sand. It’s kind of an odd combination in that the Sun is the Light, and Pluto was the God of the underworld, of death. But it also brings personal wealth because the Sun is the planet of Self, and puts its whole heart in it! To be charismatic, along with other factors in your chart, attracts recognition. Pluto can be perfectionist, obsessed, and what it decides to do, it does well, fearlessly. In Capricorn these days, it is working with sciences, time, elders, takes super responsibility (or none at all). It is political, tending to the conservative side. Works with laws, rekindles research to heal long standing diseases. It’s a shamanic powerhouse. 

As Saturn backs away from his April 30 square with Chiron, Moon is coming in to trine Chiron. Chiron may have felt a little chapped by Saturn’s demands, square realities to be faced, and bruised a bit by his judgments. Moon in Scorpio is here to soothe Chiron’s wounds. Moon loves you no matter what, Scorpio is not afraid you might bite. Scorpio wants to know where it hurts so it can know what to do. And Sun lightens things up, sextiles Chiron with a calming peace in Taurus, brings the flowers and herbal lotions. As they give you things to do that you do well, you perk up, get your strength and honor back.

Mars in Gemini is about to square Neptune in Pisces, then pushes its trine with Jupiter in Libra! First there is some time in Neptune’s foggy dew, searching for your lost keys. Who knows what other marvels have presented themselves, mysteries have been solved?! Or maybe it is good exploring underwater and you are even a little overwhelmed by all there is to see. And what dreams! At 13, 13 and 14 degrees, these three planets are closely linked. Understanding and a burst into action and spreading the good word are almost simultaneous! There is sudden insight, a breakthrough to compassion, and seeing who to connect with to carry the messages, all at once. Suffering is a strong motivator. Time to let go of addictions, get some exercise, turn the tables. Get in some tennis time, step into some new dancing shoes! Hang out with healthy allies!

Mercury in Aries and Mars in Gemini are still in each other’s signs, a mutual reception! Mercury is direct, moving forward now, and has just electrically conjuncted Uranus the second and last time yesterday! We are reminded to put the brilliance of that connection we had at the New Moon into channels of fulfillment now at this Full Moon. In sympathy with Mars of leadership and action, we are inspired and it happens! Easier than expected!

Every single planet is engaged at this Buddha Birthday Full Flower Moon! It is pregnant in Spirit, linking between each of us, with our peers, partners and equals, to our community and the world at large!

Happy Birthdays, Aries!

Meet Ricardo Breceda, Sorcerer of Sheet Metal!

This story is about an artist born in 1962 in Durango, Mexico, no birthdate available. But I’m sure he is Aries something and/or has a strong Mars, the Aries planet, in his birth chart!

Dubbed “the Picasso of Steel,” Ricardo Breceda was an injured construction worker and a boot salesman, but became a renowned artist in ten short years with no previous art training or even an interest in art!

People are awestruck by the beauty and scale of his work, and the way his animals seem so real, the way he fashions sheet metal into muscle and bone, the way he captures motion. One writer says: Breceda believes in motion. He’s almost always in motion. One of those fast-metabolism guys who need to be moving. He’s been that way his whole life. Breceda believes in the can-do attitude. He refuses to set himself limits.”

His dedication is apparent in this story about him by Gordon Lee Johnson!

It’s 116 degrees under the desert sun, so hot even the Borrego Springs horned toads are hunting shade.

But there’s no shade for metal sculptor Ricardo Breceda who’s welding sheet-metal scales onto a 350-foot sea monster.

White-hot sparks pop and blister from molten metal. So much sweat rolls into his eyes, he can hardly see through the welding helmet’s visor. The sun is hot, the metal is hot, the arc welder is hot, the helmet is hot, his clothes are hot.

It’s July, he’s been sweltering for almost three months on this sea monster. “All I can think is — let’s finish this thing,” he says.

Lost in the fever of work, his working delirium is broken by a young man who is yelling at him to stop, and holding out a bottle of water.

“He actually got in my face, and yelled at me to stop. I didn’t want to stop, I wanted to keep going. But I’m glad I stopped. That guy may have saved my life.”

Breceda knocked off, drank lots of water, and regained himself after a few hours, cooling off to continue.

A couple of days later, he finally finished. “Let me tell you, a beer never tasted so good.”

Ricardo has won prizes, there is much written about him. He says “I work hard to get a piece to look alive, to give it a soul.

ARIES 2017 Celestial Highlights!

April 7 – Jupiter at Opposition. The giant planet will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be fully illuminated by the Sun. It will be brighter than any other time of the year and will be visible all night long. This is the best time to view and photograph Jupiter and its moons. A medium-sized telescope should be able to show you some of the details in Jupiter’s cloud bands. A good pair of binoculars should allow you to see Jupiter’s four largest moons, appearing as bright dots on either side of the planet.

April 10, 2017, see diagram – presents the first full moon of spring for the Northern Hemisphere and the first full moon of autumn for the Southern Hemisphere. The first full moon of the season shines in front of the constellation Virgo the Maiden.

Jupiter stays in front of the constellation Virgo until November 2017.

Aries 2017 TimeLine!

October 23 2016 started a whole new round of SIX aspects through Dec 31 that are the primary aspects of 2017! We have had Jupiter inconjunct Neptune, Jupiter square Pluto ThanksGiving Day, Nov 24! The ‘Holiday Four, plus the very close Jupiter sextile Saturn, happened the last 8 days of 2016.

Outer Planet Transit Aspects with Aries 2017-April 2018!

It’s time to surge into your New Year! May there be many grand new accomplishments!

Pluto is just past mid Capricorn through Jan 2018. Pluto is Scorpio’s planet and in Capricorn is in a harmonious sextile sign, an earth and water mix. A darn good business person estimating time and money to the inch! Aries is FRESH, a sign of the times, even of times to come! Give them the job, they will lead, but get outta their way. They may experiment here and there, taking a bit more time, but the offshoot ideas will be well worth it! Pay attention and capitalize! Aries, be smart and realize the worth of the experience of elders and practiced business men, even if it does remind you of your Father! You may be denied at first, feel blocked, but you can and will do it! If things are too musty, move on and do it on your own, taking the good ideas and sensible guidance with you. Neptune is in its own sign, at the first third of Pisces. It is a water Planet in the last water sign seeking a deeper side of life. Aries ACTivation!

If you have never been there before it is INitiation! If you have been there, but inactive, perhaps forgotten, you may need ACTivation! If that’s all going for you, then it may be time for you to be the lead Activator!

Purity is high grade energy, has absolute integrity! Aries rarely calculates or is conniving. They function immediately on auto response, accurately filling the immediate need. It’s a White Diamond Light function. Mind you, they aren’t saints, well, not usually, ’cause they are impatient if you can’t or don’t do the same. It’s no fun if you don’t keep up, LOL!

Red is their other color! They are red-blooded heroes and heroines, love those red trucks, and white cars! Racing in any form, is a passion! To them it is not a gamble, they are just so fast they don’t even think about it. Gets them in trouble sometimes. Other times we are so glad they made it, came to help when they did!

They love the challenge of a catching a good partner. They are adoring fans, roses, new places to go together. But they can leave once the challenge is over. They need a match to their continued high energy, needs to be physical. Biking, hiking, skiing, skating. Speeding somewhere together at the front of the pack suits their Spirits! If you like your sex a bit quick, anywhere anytime, fiery and red hot, you have found your lover!

Being their own boss, having their own hours and business, is perfect for self motivators like them! They may start with nothing and build an empire! A Job that has dramatically different challenges, not routine, works. Aries is innovative, loves being the first to try something new. Meeting new people, possible co investors, delights them. Classrooms are a tough assignment. It’s a closed space. Boring to look at, always the same for a time frame as fast as Aries. Assign them to keep it changing. Have different instructors. Blow off the energy on top by riding your bike to work or school! Put in plenty of sports, dance classes before sit down classes. Sitting drives them crazy. Let them stand? Do walking meditations! They will thrive on anything that involves heroes and builds independence. For many the independence of riding their bike makes it their vehicle of choice. Science and mechanics, how things work, especially cars, race cars, will do the trick!

Lean blondes or redheads. Dashing and dazzling demeanor. Fresh. Naive and innocent. Radiant health. They exercise, are generally not readers or TV watchers, don’t sit long enough to eat much. But they can have accidents – cuts, head/eye injuries, road rash, punctures, and headaches and burnouts from too much exercise! They like a clean body machine and aren’t inclined to meds or addictions, unless it’s to or for exercise. Oh, and btw, headgear is primal for Aries! It keeps their mind happy!

Fiery crafts jump start their day! Whether it is creating a mechanical toy for their kids, building a new vehicle, exotic enhancing fuels, making expensive jewelry, glass blowing, cheffing that fine steak or burger, retiring to metal sculpting recycled leavings! It engages their whole being. It’s gotta work, amaze people, and you gotta stay alive while you are doing it! Iron matches their blood and copper is their tone!

Many would disagree with me, but I think of Aries as the Crown Chakra energy center of the body. It’s that White Diamond Light you see on some Chakra diagrams. Their perception of incoming information, connecting with the higher realms, must be clean and clear to quickly save lives when it is an emergency, or to not miss a potent opening, that one moment that could make a difference for the rest of your life! Robin DiPasquale, ND RH (AHG) says ‘The energy of the crown chakra is about opening to the heavens through the crown of the head, connecting with the electrical forces of the universe, and allowing these to flow through the body to join with the magnetic forces of the earth energy in the heart.’

Pink is that blend of White Light and the Red Blood of the Heart of Life. There’s nothing Aries wouldn’t do for you if they could. Most of all, they would like you to be strong. To be able to stand on your own two feet. They want you to try. They will take you places you have never seen before. They ignite your curiosity, show you what’s possible. They scatter seeds with the spark of life wherever they go. They have relentless passion for the Spirit of Life!

Orlando Shooting Astrology Charts

We have been having alot of outer planet connections! Astrology is complex, so how do we predict events? Especially if we don’t know the charts of persons whose charts connect with those events. And there are so many humans.

This chart of June 12, 2016 at the time of first shots fired, 2:02 AM Eastern, gives many indications. Some charts give little indication, being more in connection with the person’s chart. Most events are a combination of both.

I had been expecting something sad in this time frame because the Saturn square Neptune was the primary aspect at the time of the Nov 13, 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris 17 days before the Paris climate talks. 130 people were killed in Paris. There was so much grief around the world. Many people felt devastated, hopeless. The outdoor Climate Rally was cancelled after the bombings, so people put their shoes there, including Pope Francis, UN General Secretary Ban Ki Moon and Marion Cotillard. Saturn squares Neptune the second time June 17, only 5 days after the Orlando shooting. It is the primary aspect of this event as well. The planets will square the third and last time Sept 10, the day after Jupiter enters Libra Sept 9.

To me, this Orlando gay nightclub attack was so very sad because it was on vulnerable people who already have difficult lives struggling for safety, the love of their families, dignity, equality. Saturn wants to bring respect and order out of Neptune chaos and obscurity, get over denial. And there are times when after working hard, it’s good to just let your hair down, or just have fun on the weekend! This is so sad after last year’s right to marriage was won after so many long years.

Moon and Sun are always elemental key factors and they were square, at 90 degree odds from Moon in Virgo to Sun in Gemini. Though ordinarily a challenging square between them would be super emotional, Virgo and Gemini, both Mercury signs, are more logical. Omar Mateen, the gunman, was said to be utterly “cool and calm” expressing his sentiments while he talked by phone to law enforcement officials.

Mercury itself is at 29 Taurus, within a degree of the current position of the Pleiades, its central star, fixed star Alcyone at 0 Gemini. The Pleiades are the 7 sisters. In some traditional horary astrology they were called the weeping sisters and 29 Taurus indicated something to weep about, at worst, mass suicide. 29 is the last degree of any sign, a maturity, an ending, a finality. It can also be at the end of one’s rope. Something had to give. The 7 Sisters were also thought to have to do with homosexuality.

The Sun was with Venus, one who values himself, sometimes above others. Venus at 23 degrees Gemini was exact sextile, a harmonious aspect, with Uranus at 23 Aries. Uranus ranges from genius to insanity, and in Aries is proactive and generally unpredictable and fast at it. Mars has been coming retrograde, reawakening past passions, closer and closer to the opposite midpoint between them in Scorpio. Scorpio loves the night and stealth, is a planet of death as well as healing. The three form a Yod, a Y, with Mars of war at its point, the emphasis.

Since Mars is retrograde and close to its turning forward point, it is in station, holding this chafing inconjunct with Uranus for 37+ days. The very first inconjunct was way back on Feb 5. Now, allowing a 3 degree range, it started toward the second one on June 6, and will make the second exact aspect June 18, the day after the second Saturn square Neptune. The inconjunct is continuous within less than 1 degree through its third and final aspect July 13 at 10:16 PM Pacific. There’s no let up. A lot of awareness will be triggered. Stay alert to your surroundings. Make wise ongoing adjustments. Some will be slow and reluctant, others in the fraction of a moment!

Mars is bullets and triggers, a declaration of independence, fury. In Scorpio, what could be the compassionate therapist, can also be a dark killer with no mercy. Flavored by Uranus, an air planet, there can be a freedom from conscience, a loner, a radical and shocking situation. Uranus in Mars’s sign Aries can give a sense of being free to act as compelled. This Mars at 25 Scorpio was retrograding slowly, almost at its stand still station turning point it would form at 23 Scorpio. It was within one degree of Omar’s birth chart 24 Scorpio Sun and holding focus on the square to Omar’s Mars at 23 Aquarius. This echoes the Mars inconjunct Uranus, Uranus being the Aquarian planet. His intense violence is no surprise.

[Mateen’s birthtime is unknown. This chart is calculated for midday (noon) and 0 Aries Ascendant used. Since we don’t have a time of birth, the Moon’s degree can be ± 6+ degrees of the position in this chart. That means it could be in Taurus or Gemini. I think it is in Taurus, possibly closer to the fixed star Alcyone degree in the Pleiades that Mercury was at in the sky June 12.]

He had a 4 planet stellium in Scorpio, one of those planets being Pluto, Scorpio’s own planet. Venus one degree of Pluto can have no fear of death, consider it a blessing, the right thing to happen, even a mercy killing. Venus and Mercury both retrograde considered what to do over and over again, a true obsessive/compulsive taking things to the extreme.

The June 12 Moon in Virgo was also coming to inconjunct Uranus. Virgo is more calculating than helpful sometimes. With Uranus in Aries it could be technical support. Uranus of fame to the masses is the point planet in this second Yod. In Aries, action and leadership, it is a force to be reckoned with. Mars at the other Yod point in Scorpio quietly but powerfully at the other side of the chart, confirms and it happens.

Saturn square Neptune was preceded by a 3 months long Jupiter square Saturn. To Mateen’s thinking, all that is holy in Saturn, the Law, spiritual law, was challenged by, perhaps even laughed or scoffed at, disappointed by Jupiter. Jupiter is confident and good natured while Saturn is official, serious, less fun or funny, susceptible to being made to look the fool. As any good Saturnian knows, sometimes you just have to wait it out to see who’s right, which has the staying power it takes. But if you feel violated and hopeless long enough…. Both squares have ethical issues from traditional law, to the opinionated newly converted true believer, to those who haven’t a clue and could care less. Saturn, the traditionalist, may see the world crumbling around them, be deeply angered by law breakers and besmirchers, wants to make its mark, so takes the law into his own hands – a rogue and vigilante defender. Omar Mateen was right in his Saturn Return at 29 years old. Saturn is in his chart at 10 degrees Sagittarius; Saturn June 12 was at 12 degrees retrograding back to 9 degrees, making a long station on his Saturn. He felt strong and pure in his convictions. Long term aspects like this build up, sometimes to a breaking point. Sometimes they are tired, other times they are tireless and determined.

Jupiter trine Pluto can be super healing, untold wealth, or mass murder. Jupiter in Virgo is careful and organized. Pluto in Capricorn is deadly clever, focused, may be a paid assassin. Jupiter is lucky, and in the hands of harm, succeeds at that too. It took officials 3 hours to stop Omar Mateen.

The moment the chart Ascendant hit 0 Aries, the Vertex, a point of Fate, came to 0 Libra, exactly opposite, the axes precisely overlaying each other. Libra is the sign of war and Peace, and this time, with the Aries war god sign at the Ascendant, it was war. As the time came to the first degree of the first sign, the warrior and guns, the first shots were fired. Fate struck. From one side, Justice was sought. From the other, relationships were non negotiably ended, rendered heartbroken through a sorrowful lack of equality. 50 dead, more than that injured, the worst mass shooting in American history.

Aries is also blood, and there was a lot lost. Aries is also the sign of heroes. Good people lined up for blocks to donate blood when the call went out. Blood banks received such an overwhelming response that they asked donors to come back over the next several days. So many are outpouring their loving support, in this case literally giving of themselves, restoring balance as they can. Zero degrees also indicates new beginnings, and through blood shared, a mingling, a fusion, bonding of a kind, perhaps a deeper understanding, is occurring. The healing has begun.

This event has further serious implications. For the injured and the families of those lost, it will irrevocably change their lives. Though a majority may vote for legalized unions, there are still those who have fear and hate, extremism. Gun laws will be further questioned and fought about. Consensus is a long way off. There is no doubt it will affect the candidacies and elections.

May the Spirits of those lost rest in Peace. We shall overcome; your lives have not been in vain.

Please stay true, be safe, keep learning, keep teaching, keep your courage, be more gentle in our differences. Give your comfort and support as you can. The world needs us to stay strong and steady in the Light, especially at times like this.

May 22 Mercury turns Direct at 6:20 AM Pacific

Since it falls on a weekend this year, many, including the Mount Shasta group, will hold weekend meditations, have special teachers, ceremony and celebrations. Wherever you are going, get your reservations made right away.

The Sun Gemini, Moon Sagittarius axis deftly handles information gathered community wide, especially from women, and with a handshake across the table incorporates it with a bigger array, community to community! Brainstorming sessions will pay off. The neighborhood scanner Gemini mind is a font of knowledge and past life traveler; Sagittarius the Seeker, loves its meaning and purpose. They spread the good word to as many as possible as far as they can get! Gemini does great newsworthy blogs while Sagittarius teaches and publishes. Gemini is more neutral, while Sag takes it to Church. Together they cover from here to there!

Moon is meeting retrograde Mars in Sagittarius coming back to greet her. For an hour and a half after the Full Moon, they are going to tell great stories! BIG stories, many chapters! Record them for sparking more conversations later. Or. There is going to be some potent interaction, whether it is high with provocative emotion, truth or lies, anger, sex, exercise, accidental, or all of the above! Just be a little careful, ok? Protected sex, be safe, not isolated. One way or the other, it could be inspiring, even if you don’t like it! Some cleanup may be called for.

Mars is headed to its retrograde opposition Sun the next day, May 22 at 4:17 AM Pacific. Essentially the action is on the 21st since it happens so early the 22nd. This opposition always happens when Mars retrogrades. It is at the midpoint between the Rx turn to the Direct turn. Both Mars and Sun are fire planets and in frolicsome signs, be careful not to rush things, be too quick – unwatchful, overdo the exercise, ignore personal intimate protection. Anger, taking a dare, being macho may not pay off. But you may find yourself standing up now when you should have a long time ago! Yes! Doing something new may free your Spirit! Wild sex in the street may make you feel spicy for a long time! :) But remember the warning, no first time sex with someone during Mars Rx. If your desire changes after Mars goes direct, fine. There could be a different Initiation that honors a longing of your Soul.

6:20 AM Pacific the next day, Mercury in Taurus directs, turns forward, ends its retrograde! That means it has been in station, appearing to stand still, since the 18/19th and will continue to until the 25th, a standard 8 day period. What is focused on during those days is well thought out, becomes a part of us, is long held, especially in Taurus. Fertile Taurus seeks a true value. It is patient and sits with it until the living part of it is acquired. Taurus is our bodies; we need to establish a connection, touch. Mercury, mind and hands, is here to do that. Taurus is beauty of all and any kind, grace. It rules the land and land works, the foods we grow on the land, the trees that filter our air. Taurus is gentle, yet super powerful. They usually don’t yell on soapboxes, but they are often long time entertainers, and most certainly are earth movers. It just gets done. If you put your mind (Mercury) to it, what seems impossible, inch by inch, comes to pass.

This is our third Moon with a Grand Earth Trine – Mercury, Jupiter, Pluto! Again, Mercury is retrograde turns direct the day after our Full Moon! It has gone back as far as it is going to, just missing the trine with Jupiter. Jupiter is retrograding away from the trine with Pluto. So, we think about what we could do, but contracts are not signed. We are enlivened, see the details, how it could be, yet it still isn’t the time yet. We carry the ideas with us, and they help shape our intentions, enhance our chances. If the combinations with your chart are good in late June, the ideas will be there ready to fulfill when that Jupiter Pluto trine is made exactly June 26!

5 Days after our Full Moon, Jupiter in Virgo squares Saturn in Sagittarius May 26!

The important core long term outer planet aspect is the Jupiter square Saturn we have been having continuously since they started being close together within 5 degrees Feb 20. There are only two of these aspects. The first exact one was March 23rd. The last of the two is exact May 26, only 5 days after our Full Flower Moon! It fades away to 3 degrees apart by June 15.

Jupiter went direct, forward May 9, only three hours before the TRANSIT of MERCURY! It is now carrying the Message of Light of the TRANSIT of MERCURY, the solar infusion Eclipse of the Sun!

Jupiter expands limitlessly! Saturn archives important information, condenses and sets boundaries. In Sagittarius, Jupiter’s sign, Saturn assigns tasks to get the information out in a timely fashion, keeping the information unbiased, clean and true as possible. Jupiter motivates; Saturn protects his commitment like a mountain fortress. Jupiter in Virgo sorts the bits, realizing some are more important than thought to be when first encountered. Saturn in Sagittarius carefully weighs the new perspective, shrewdly prioritizing.

Personally there may be surprising agreements! In Virgo, Jupiter’s ideas are well backed by the results of practical application and often a bit of research. Saturn is more willing than usual to expand step by step in sensible terms, on a well scheduled program. Things can be fixed, integrated, along the way, assuring a strong foundation. Both are optimistic to an extent. A challenge might be to take on only what you realistically can. Jupiter in Virgo is lucky at assessing health concerns, and Saturn in Sag wants a good life plan for long term well being. Diet, exercise, checking on what you have avoided, insurances and healthy housing go with the territory. There may be breakdowns or breakthroughs. Two Fixed Stars – Algol and Alcyone! Venus is in one of its signs, Taurus. It just passed Algol May 20 at 26 TA 10. Algol brings dramatic statements. It was thought to be the most evil star in the heavens! If you aren’t dead by decapitation you can be a great artist! It is symbolic of losing your head, and that can be by alcoholism, brainwashing, loss of memory or pain, even by so having so much fun you forget yourself, as well as other means! Of course, modern writers and observers are clear that people born at 26 TA live and that day each year is not noted! Algol blinks and disappears 8 hours at a time because it is a binary star, eclipsing itself every 3 days! Pretty unique, and considered a star of transformation. One writer says, ‘…if you dabble in shamanism it can kill you or enlighten you.’ Johnny Depp and his wife both have Venus with Algol, thought by some to have magnetic beauty!

May 20 the Sun just passed and, only 2+ hours before, the Moon just opposed Alcyone 00 GE 00 in 2000. It is the central star of the Pleiades, also called the Weeping Sisters, in other words, something to weep about. “Sickness, disgrace, evil disposition (used to be a term in astrology for homosexuality), murderer or murdered, imprisonment, death by blows, stabs, shooting, beheading or shipwreck..” “The ruthless visionary, a passionate but potentially arrogant person.” The Pleiades, as the daughters of Atlas, who carried the world, Alcyone points to dealing with burdensome matters of weight. While it was in Taurus it was material concerns, substance. Now in Gemini, there are concerns about our intellect, how we think, communicate, our breath of life, connections with the world – political, climate change, the Internet.

New Moon – 14 Degree 6 Planet Mutable Cross/Grand Square, Saturn Square Neptune

Gemini has this supreme urge to communicate anytime, anywhere, with anyone! It can be microscopic, holding hands with your sweetheart, to extraterrestrial contact with magnificent stars, comets, meteors, beings ~ it’s being infused, imprinted with galaxies of knowledge from times far, far away. Dark New Moon nights are perfect.

Mercury is no longer retrograde, but will finish its Phase 3, tidying up in Taurus, June 7. Only a few short days to go! Bodily matters will be more peaceful, possessions will settle, snafus will untangle and relax, monies have potential after all! June 3, the day before our New Moon, Mercury crosses the TRANSIT of MERCURY, ECLIPSE of the Sun degree the last time, this time going forward. We’ve been thinking about things, and this is a reminder to carry the Eclipse message forward. That cycle is ending as well as the Moon ending her 27 day cycle, merging with Father Sun. Crossing the Transit degree reminds us of our Eclipse exchange, the infusion by Father Sun, the Message. The Moon in Gemini, Mercury’s sign, fully absorbs the upgrade, intuitively getting even more through the lunar conduit. The thread continues, opens the doors to an extended range, another cycle.

Gemini is an information gathering time, and it’s coming from every direction! The Moon and Sun are with Venus! This threesome holds the fourth point with three outer planets in a T Square, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune, forming a Mutable Cross, Grand Square! • Gemini has Venus, Moon and Sun at the SAME degree, 14! Venus is things we want, beauty and adornment, love. Coming from Taurus, it is more concerned with our bodies and now sculpting our minds, our words to attract what’s organically the best for us. The Moon loves her food, and finger foods rule in Gemini! There are things to do, places to go and we’re on the move! She feeds our mind with memories and intuitions, Mothers’ magic, woman power, knows the public pulse, business cycles! The Sunbeams give us Light and hope, lead the way to meet many, share maximum, spread the good word heart to heart!
• These New Moon three are with the Fixed Star Rigel, at 16 Gemini 50! Rigel is in the constellation Orion, a double star, the 7th brightest in the sky. Rigel has mixed reviews ranging from splendor and honors, a strong and dignified nature, self-confidence, to inconstancy, arrogance, violence, impiety. It offers prosperity in trade and particularly by voyages or abroad, but danger of treachery and poison.It’s said if Rigel is conjunct with the Sun, Moon, as it is here, MC or Ascendant, a quick rise in life is promised on account of a strong, inherent willpower, love of action, and a lucky hand in enterprise, but a continuous battle to retain an acquired position has to be waged. Ironically, this fight at the same time stimulates an increase in vigor. Even in spite of unhelpful aspects, success and reaching the set aim can be secured by this powerful concentration. If however the native is not cautious or has an attack of weakness, failure and disappointments, a fall from success will follow. Be careful and hang onto your socks!
• Virgo has Jupiter also at degree 14! That’s four planets at the 14th degree, tight and tasty! Jupiter wants the meaning of all that data Gemini has gathered. It wants to give it a direction, a purpose. In Virgo it places the details, the juicy components in consummate order, a system that flows like a beautiful river, with each valuable piece in the most useful position. The North Node is retrograding to meet Jupiter. The North is ascending beyond its old footing, no finer companion to explore with than Jupiter the traveler. Together they will do training and teach life saving methods of good work and great health. They get a little twitted at times, nervous about whether it will all work out, Jupiter sometimes exaggerating his fears, but that same exaggeration is the backside of unquenchable hope and optimism, expansive thinking! • Saturn is holding the fort in Sagittarius. You know how it’s sometimes like herding kittens, well Sag is famous for seeking greener grass, a whole lot of fun, and simply enjoys the trip, anywhere! Saturn says ok that’s fine long as we finish this job so we can pay for the trip! Aw, ok, I know, we said we would. What’s next? Bring me that book so I can look up the specs. So Saturn is the time keeper, inspector, build-it-right, responsible one who keeps everyone on task. He knows he can’t keep ’em corralled forever, so tailors the parts to suit the worker, and, hallelujah, it gets done on time even! Great job, well done on everyone’s part!
• Neptune in Pisces is the dreamer, wants to save the world, or their part of it, if possible. If nothing, they want to make some contribution that makes a difference. If they are working on that particular project, they are on board and even a whimsical Pisces will focus right up and add astonishing insights, saving time right and left! They often know good resources, contacts that will donate to the cause. Don’t expect them to ‘follow orders,’ wisely allow time outs. They can look tough, but know that there is a sensitive Soul in there. Respect them or you may have a consequence later. Ask and really listen. Just because they don’t speak firmly doesn’t mean they don’t mean it or it’s not valuable. Their input is priceless.
• Back to Gemini. Walkie Talkie! Talking too much may dilute the message or drop down to chit chat. Keep your priorities and pay attention when people glaze over. Take a break and rethink your priorities, stick to ’em. Ask what’s needed next then go get the info. Do some marketing, get the word out! Connect people with like minds and that have info the other needs, then blitz off to the next good source! Get the blog up and running. Take it easy on those Virgos. Once they start working, more talk distracts and slows them down. Just check to be sure they are on course. Give Sagittarians enough to chew on. If they don’t take you seriously, ask them what would make the difference to them. Neptunians won’t parrot back to you. They listen more to the feel of things and often come back with non sequiturs that you triggered. Trust that. They are connected in some subtle way….

Mercury, Gemini’s planet, is leaving a Grand Trine in Earth. He almost trined Jupiter, got the closest possible when he turned direct May 22. Good luck, some kind of fame or fortune was just a finger’s length away, could smell it! But nope, didn’t quite happen. But, did make the trine to Pluto the 30th, Memorial Day. Some powerful insight occurred, a contract was signed, a lucrative connection made, healing words spoken, a secret or confidence shared. These may bloom to full understanding as we carry them to and sit with them at the New Moon, new words, new beginnings.

In a different degree set, Mercury sextiles Chiron June 8. Mars is retrograding back to oppose Mercury in Taurus June 9, trine Chiron in Pisces June 12, then inconjunct Uranus in Aries June 18.  Going to be lively!

• Mercury gets the dialogue going with Chiron. There may be some reminiscing, or a sense of communion. This more patient and commiserating connection will ease the way for Mars opposite Mercury when sparks could fly. But Mars knows some things must be said and encourages Mercury who may have been patient way too long in Taurus.
• Mars in Scorpio retrograde opposite Mercury in Taurus June 9 could be Vesuvius! Mars has had secret things accumulating, being restimulated, possibly even from the past. Important things. Private relationship matters, sexual, financial power plays, fears of death, fears of life! They can be perpetrator or defender, healer. Mercury in Taurus can be maddenly slow, on purpose or just naturally, or so patient, thankfully calming. They have a strong mind and are hard to push off their spot. Common sense is your best ally. Let them know what’s in it for them that is good for everybody. They may shift then. Know there will be 180 differences. See the values in both sides.Don’t push so hard that people dig in their heels. Both Scorpio and Taurus are fixed signs. Even though Mars may look like a whirlwind circling, don’t be fooled that they may change. That might just show you they could be nervous, need to be talked down. No condescending. At times Mars can bully, by scaring you with his speed. Speed does not necessarily indicate change either. Take it easy. Think about what can be useful that each has to offer without changing anyone! Chiron is in good position to heal the situation since it trines Mars and sextiles Mercury. Look to a third party to see things through.
• In the retrograde degrees, Mars trines Chiron while retrograde June 12, and while going forward July 17. Mars in Scorpio will stir Chiron’s cauldron. It’s looking for the keys to healing, to open the threshold to advanced teachings, awaken the Kundalini, know the meaning of life itself. Security, prevention and protection from harm, will be sought and succeeds. Invincibility has limits, whether a more clever foe or simply old age. Clean up, take good care of yourself. See the best therapist. Offer to volunteer, make amends as needed to make good relationships. Be honest in business dealings, no cheating, no manipulating. Seek common goals helpful to all concerned. Set July 17 as a marker for this particular work.
• Mars inconjuncts Uranus twice in the retrograde degrees, June 18 and July 13. Mars is the planet of Aries, so these two have a spunky link! Mars is the leader, initiator, first one, fighter, defender! He is spontaneous, is the amazing first responder fireman, ambulance medic, 100% on-the-spot intuition! Uranus loves that in-the-moment speed and intelligence! Scorpio is a tad intense, but that suits them all! Uranus loves different and being on the cutting edge. He’s surprised he can be surprised! It may not be a lasting encounter, but is distracting from the usual humdrum and definitely entertaining and enlivening! Mars takes a swipe, and is amazed that Uranus dodges him so easily. Uranus is usually the one who shocks people, so he wakes up too. That was close; he’s not quite as untouchable as he thought! Each is slightly askew, the right place to consider new facets of current events!

In 13 days, Saturn will square Neptune for the 2nd time. This aspect is important because of its long duration. It ran seven months in 2015 at two different times, and will a third period in 2016 for 6+ months. In 2016, it runs from April 13 to Oct 31, with second exact aspect June 17 at 12 Sag, and the final aspect Sep 10 at 10 Sag.

At worst, Saturn in Sagittarius, holds his opinion as law, shutting down any intuitive responses of Neptune. However, Neptune is in his own sign Pisces, doubly potent, can’t be quelled forever. Saturn says that psychic stuff is ridiculous, of course. At best, perhaps, Saturn teaches people who suffer addictions how to get back into the world, giving them realistic examples of successes that are stable, giving them tasks to show them they can do it too! There may be processing of profound griefs along the way. Or, Saturn himself loses faith and it takes the gentle Piscean compassion to understand and reconnect his Spirit. Saturn may have traveled far, variously abandoning himself, others, all his seeking fallen short, to find himself collapsed at Neptune’s feet, ready to hear a truth that was always there. Neptune may say a few words that unlock the Gate of Fears and Saturn walks through the Fire free!

Saturn is always the Builder, looking to the long term. It may be mind, it may be matter. It may be the Temple of Wisdom, or carrying the nomad coals of light. In Sagittarius he is divine protector of knowledge. Pisces is the spiritual seeker, dreamer, intuitive, believer without proof. This luscious Full Moon, the second in Gemini, in the last 12 hours and last degree of Gemini, is opening the Gateway to Cancer with a spread of fully enriched data and the wisdom to know what to do with it! Cancer, ever the scholar, is delighted! Full Moon is 4:03 AM Pacific, the Sun enters Cancer 3:34 PM! Happy Summer Solstice!

SECOND Gemini Full Moon! The May 21 Full Flower Blue Moon was at 1 Sagittarius 14. This Full Strawberry Moon is 29 Gemini/Sag 33! In Blue Moon parlance, the current popular definition is the second Full Moon in a month is a Blue Moon. So in astrological parlance (a sign equates roughly to a month), since this is the second Full Moon in the Sign, I’ll call it a Blue Moon too!

The three Gemini Moons each support an outer planet transit combination!

• The May 21 first Full Moon, the Flower Blue Moon, brings in Gemini, and Mercury turns forward/direct the next day, and opening the gate before the May 26 last Jupiter square Saturn!
• The June 4 New Moon opens the new cycle that sets up the June 17 second Saturn square Neptune that remains with us until Sep 10. That square precedes this Full Moon by only three days, the square giving its support to the Strawberry Moon!
• This June 20 Full Strawberry Moon supports the June 26 Jupiter trine Pluto!

That’s the potent and complicated backdrop for this Full Moon at 29 degrees, the last degree of a sign. We reach a maximum maturity, last chance, might feel at the end of our rope, a cycle is ending, we are itching to go on! In Gemini there is a sense that our breath is critical. How we breathe, what we choose to pay attention to that entertains our air space. What we choose to breath back out, release. What is ethical, undeniable, must be spoken for our life to line up with our Soul’s commitment. We are at the threshold. The past is the past, choices are made, we go forward even if we don’t choose and not choosing becomes the choice. And so it is. Breathe well.

Moon and Sun are leaving squares to Chiron behind. Chiron is at the point of their T Square. About five days ago Sun challenged Chiron, the healings, teaching, maybe even added to the trouble. One person’s many ideas, confusing and overwhelming. Or they kept up the dialogue until someone finally listened and a breakthrough was made. There was logic versus intuition, possibly words were finally spoken and understanding dawned. Moon followed late yesterday, emotional, fiery, passionately encouraging, wanting us to look ahead, see the potentials for better or worse, just wanting the truth, meaning well. Chiron may have felt overwhelmed by that too, but infinitely glad someone cares even if you can’t get a word in edgewise, LOL! Will think about it.

Mercury, Gemini’s planet, is forming the fourth point of the Mutable Cross, Grand square! It is same degree opposite Saturn, one degree square Neptune, closely square Jupiter!

• Jupiter is leaving Saturn, but Mercury is inviting a little more thinking about things. Jupiter wanted big and technically excellent. Saturn wanted to build but perhaps not in the expected location. Jupiter is generally trusting, but in Virgo skeptical. Saturn wants the facts, Sag says oh just let’s get on with it, or suggests yet another location – they love to travel! Saturn may be in denial, but Jupiter isn’t about to let that pass. And on around it goes. Now Mercury has heard it all and in one of its own signs, chats it out, brainstorms, possibly getting an unexpected consensus! Or, so much more input will be added, it all goes over the top, each going their separate ways. Forget about it! Huh. But none will be the same as before….
• Saturn and Neptune will square June 17, coming right up! Mercury is logical, and downright smart in Gemini! It’s the same degree opposite Saturn in Sagittarius! Saturn may listen, though you gotta weave your way through the Sagittarius opinions, dropping hints and ideas here and there. One thing leads to another. Serious Saturn is keen on reality, and Sag loves another good story, so keep dropping those bread crumbs. Take ’em to the show so they can see it for themselves. Saturn might want you to make an appointment, show proper respect. Gemini is youthful and Saturn can be the cool Master. Keep your dignity, or make them laugh in spite of themselves! There’s no way to sneak up on Neptune. They know you’re on the way before you do! At times their intuition will trump your logic. Fine. Other times your fine logic will show them what a fool they have been and they will thank you for it. Sometimes it will seem like they are a confused mush, you could look right through them like glass, and no one is home. How do you talk to that?! If there are addiction issues, that could be true. But don’t confuse that with their waking dreams, or underestimate them or their dreams. They have magic on their side and it usually will prove out. They can be super dedicated Souls. There will be perfect times for each of you to use your talents.

Mars is potently in station, ‘standing still,’ at 23 Scorpio. If we use a 1 degree range for the station, it started June 18, Mars directs, turns forward, June 29, continues within 1 degree until July 12. It inconjuncts Uranus while retrograde June 18 and when direct July 13. This whole period of time will call for wider awareness, and because of that, adjustments. It makes sense to look aside, check out a side trip, pay attention, not let things slip by. We can be dazed by the wild Uranus in Aries, explosive, entertaining, strange and wonderful. Mars in Scorpio often feels invisible and invincible, inordinately curious! Either of them can have a temper. Uranus goes off like firecrackers; Mars in Scorpio smoulders. If you feel the heat rising, leave right now. Backup may be wise. If Uranus is complacent, not their usual venue, it could be a kickstart from Mars is on cue! If they are valuable but scaring people and losing their audience, Scorpio can show them how to hang onto themselves. Maybe one or both of them needs an adventure to spice their life. Can do! Be aware of how others may feel, be ready to take responsibility for any consequences. The ‘friendship’ may be short lived, but never forgotten!

Whatever didn’t happen when Jupiter squared Saturn, and you might even be glad for that, will more than be made up for by Jupiter trine Pluto in Capricorn, Saturn’s sign, June 26! This will be their last of three trines, so make the very, very best of it! This is MEGA SUPER TRINE! It’s known as a wealth aspect, great for healing! Jupiter itself is considered fame and fortune in old time astrology. In Virgo it can be for writers, any kinds of daily services from nursing to bookkeeping, pet care, landscaping, housekeeping, etc. Jupiter is publishing. Get your blog going. Travel can be for healthcare seminars. Pluto wants healing, Capricorn rules careers and elders. Building and real estate. Pluto rules all kinds of major monies – inheritance, banking, loans, grants, insurance. CEOs, corporations. Think big! See more!

The Full Moon Gemini Sun is in close longitude with Polaris, the Pole star, 28 GE 34! Polaris is at the north pole, never sets, stands almost motionless on the sky, and all the stars of the Northern sky appear to rotate around it. Other stars along this circle were the pole star in the past and will be again in the future, including Thuban and Vega. Polaris has been close to the actual position of the north pole for over 1000 years. Polaris has long been an important star to sailors, caravans of old winding their way over the desert by night and others who navigated their way by the stars. It is currently located almost directly overhead as seen from the North Pole.

The planet, Uranus, was discovered one degree longitude away from this star.

According to Ptolemy the bright stars are like Saturn and in some degree like Venus. It is said to give indifference and improvidence of spirit, and to lead to many troubles. By the Kabbalists it is associated with the Hebrew letter Tau and the 21st Tarot Trump “The Universe.” The Chinese considered the Pole Star as “the great honorable Lord of the Heavens”. Other races too had high admiration for it, and one can draw the conclusion that, in a relevant position in the natal chart, it will give spiritual powers to the bearer, and he will be highly respected. The Pole Star serves as a guide and indicator. It can give a good sense of discretion and you will be able to follow your instinct, clearly recognize your aims, pursue and achieve them! You may find yourself up all night, at the center of things, the heart of the matter!

Take some time, get out in the Moonlight with a bowl of strawberry ice cream, or not! Smudge and clear, make an offering, give gratitude. Saturn in Sagittarius, Walk of Wisdom!

This is the time of the Scholar. Sagittarius rules university level education and Saturn believes in betterment and credibility. Worthy hard work will be done to achieve long term goals. There may be delays, short funds from time to time, but stay with it! Saturn is also knowledge gained through experience, mentors, elders, ancient sacred Beings. Saturn is Sacred Rules, respect, authority, the rigors of science, laws of Nature. Boundaries, keys, thresholds. Saturn takes Sagittarian ideas, focuses all the options, protects their integrity. This combo establishes a moral compass, code of ethics.

Saturn in Sagittarius is also Master Teachers here to make their mark! They consider the daily work ethic, as well as profound ethics that stand the test of time. We learn in every level we work at, sometimes humbly on our very knees no matter how high ranking we think we are. Our children teach us. Religion and source of life, where our Souls are traveling to and how we do it, are important. Some philosophies will be rigid, perhaps challenged and crumble, to our great fear, devastation, humiliation. At times, Saturn in Sagittarius can be faithless, while at others have a rock of Gibraltar missionary or disciple faith. Sometimes it will be built brick by brick, true and respected, prove its worth. Saturn chisels out the faults, a Master Craftsman at work. Let go and get light. What needs protection will be guarded. Where keys and a gate are needed, they will be installed.

Saturn is the Builder. From the desire for more knowledge comes construction. It is time to build the Temple for the Teachers, churches, schools, with stone steps that never fail, that we may learn more together. There may be cold times, there could be slippery ice, but regardless of challenging tests, we go up the mountain of Time. Saturn rules the knees we bend with every one of those steps. At times we are humbled to get down on our knees to pray for strength, guidance to make it, ever so grateful when we do.

Sagittarius likes to play as much as Saturn loves to work! Sagittarius is exploration, determining one’s focus, perusing the principles of all Faiths. It speeds along in races, autos, skiing, horses and gambles it will win, ever optimistic! It travels from ashrams in Spirit to mountain tops with forever views! Without these infusions, Saturn might merely plod along. But with this spice, it is enlivened and even tempted to tag along at times! Besides, it’s like herding kittens! Though Saturn can harness runaway Sag energy and guide it well, Sag will never be entirely contained! At the drop of their hat, they may be off to surf on another continent or take off on a surprise vacation they just won! Lower travel rates may make travel quite accessible to low budget travelers though there may be delays. Travel in the line of business makes excellent sense.

Saturn rules the next sign, Capricorn! Once our purpose is sorted, the meaning of our life apparent, Capricorn wants to build it a home! Capricorn/Saturn loves views from the top, glass, like ice, is one of its mediums! There may be cathedral type stained glass beauty, or skylights or both! There will be an ample well stocked workshop stocked with marvelous tools, have great lighting. Sag might want to build big; Saturn might build compact and sustainably for low cost and maintenance. What is built will have staying power and suit the times to come. Housing for elders will be exceptional, ie the small home communities time has come!

Money considerations will blow hot and cold. Sagittarius is optimistic, Saturn not. Sag wants to buy the big one, and thinks more money can come anytime, and sometimes that’s true, no need to worry. Saturn cautiously tries to keep things on schedule as planned. And that can work too. Keep a basic bank balance; stay connected to supporters. Gambling will be curtailed. Saturn is expert at finding the lowest common denominator, honing to the bone, getting the most return for the least expense. Be cautious about imports, though experienced Sagittarius importers may bring in the goods at a great price; Saturn knows exactly where to market them, the perfect projects to use them in.

Work that has been carried on beyond it’s time will likely be let go. Certain bothersome fragments will be let go; the time tending them will be better spent. Other work will be satisfactorily completed against the odds through sheer perseverance and righteous optimism. The tower is completed, the summit reached. The structure is strong. On the other hand, do periodic checkups to watch for use of cheap shoddy materials, unsafe shortcuts. Funding needs to be adequate to the time and materials rightfully needed.

Sagittarius rules hips and thighs and your liver. Your hips may suffer, or you may lose weight and be sleek as a fast footed Gazelle on the savanna! Thankfully, Saturn is a conscientious monitor, good at keeping vows. Eat less kibble is what my Vet says to me about my dog. More veggies, less fatty foods, candy, chocolate, alcohol. Sag loves to get outdoors and exercise. Hopefully that will help your hips and thighs too.

As to your liver, it is a sacred organ. You must have something to live FOR. Saturn is the planet of Karma and Dharma. What you do must express your divine commitment, the Mission of your life, the work of your Soul. With Saturn in Sagittarius, the Path of your life, all our lives, is being tuned up. We are dropping the chaff, the inconsequential. We are finding the true purpose of our existence and stepping up to the plate. At times we think we do what we must, but are surprised to find it eloquently satisfying. And we learn how to teach our Mission, a further satisfying sharing.

Don’t tax your system with overeating, too many things to do, other people’s business. Being generous has its limits. Your true responsibility is to do what YOU do best; let others do theirs! You can’t fool yourself when your body talks. Be true to yourself, be real, mind your own business first. You are the one who lives in your body and you can’t help others when your body is down.

Saturn is on a 29 year cycle and the adventure of this one is just beginning! Together Saturn and Sag can plan a potent future that the gears may mesh in a smooth steadily forward pace. It can be fearful or secure the potential that Sagittarius offers! If you are able to prevail, stay steady in the Light toward your successes. Together we will work hard for the rights for education for all, the poor, immigrants, women, the children of the world.
