NEW Moon, Last of 2014
FULL Wolf Moon, First of 2015
Mt. Whitney Moonrise by Nolan Nitschke. “At 14,505 feet in elevation, the setting sun and the full moon created a unique combination of warm and cool tones.”
Last of 2014, Capricorn Winter Solstice NEW MOON!!
Sunday Dec 21 at 5:36 PM Pacific – 0 Capricorn 06
Our New Moon is on the first day of Capricorn, Winter Solstice, Yule! For many this is the real New Year! This New Moon will be the third of Five in a row that start their signs, 2014 Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn, and 2015 Aquarius and Pisces, all at ZERO degrees! As we finish the long term challenge of Uranus square Pluto seven times, these zero degrees are like little booster shots! They remind us new beginnings are here. We can activate them by our new choices. They are freeing us from old dilemmas as the past fades, our sights are on the fresh possibilities to come!
FIVE planets, a stellium in Capricorn in a large conjunction, one following the other! Capricorn concentration and five ways to say it! Heart of dedication, the Matriarch and Patriarch united, literal words of Wisdom, seeking to the Core, Beauty and Beast! Both humble and powerful. Timeless structures for protection, foundations of integrity.
Moon and Sun conjunct Mercury. Mercury is leaving the Sun, faster moving, while the Moon will soon catch up with Mercury. Both have grabbed, or been infused by, a bit of Light at the heart and are carrying it forward. Mercury has the words and story; Moon gives the nurturing it takes to support it as it grows.
Mercury is more closely conjunct Pluto than the New Moon! Four signs in a row, Cap, Aquarius, Pisces and Aries, Pluto is strongly linked with Mars, Chiron and Uranus at 12 and 13 degrees! Mars and Uranus are in what we call a Mutual Reception, in each other’s signs! Potent! Both break up old patterns and delight in new times, new ways, now! Chiron sits midpoint between, extremely sensitive to the needs for planetary, even Spiritual change. It is sextile Pluto in Capricorn, knowing timing means everything. It calls for compassion in every moment. Pluto in Capricorn may protect the old ways unless shown what’s better, really better, not just good sounding. Trick is to listen to all ideas, use the old as a powerful framework, springboard, to step forward from. Pluto in Cap is expert at recycling, renovation! Mercury has a lot to talk about.
Venus separating conjunct Pluto. At 14 degrees Capricorn, it is just leaving the 12/13 degree planets, spreading the blessings. It sees the values in well placed power, experience. It celebrates the healing and changes to come. Adds a touch of class to new buildings and projects. She adds desire for Grace, to make the Beauty, attracts funding.
In contrast to the tight Saturn ruled Capricorn Stellium, and the rest of the planets, Jupiter (the orange planet at left) stands alone. Truly. It is separate in space, and makes no aspect to any other planet. See how all the connection lines in the center of the chart are to one side of the chart? By definitions, this chart pattern could be called a Bucket or Fan configuration. Technically it fits right between the two. It is claimed a lone planet is the point of emphasis, stands out, and in sunny Leo, it just might. However, unconnected, unsupported, it may just shine and fizzle. Or, unfettered, it may powerfully rise above at will! Jupiter in Leo is a tremendous teaching and leadership combination.
This New Moon, most closely tied with Saturn and in Saturn’s sign, launches Saturn’s sign change into Sagittarius Dec 23! During the New Moon, Saturn, the ruler of the Capricorn Stellium, is still in Scorpio. In some old time astrology, a semi sextile, the link that connects them, is said to affect health and wealth. Scorpio, the sign Saturn is in, is the sign of both! With Saturn at maturity, 29 degrees Scorpio, there are endings, completion, a sense of critical timing. The New Moon is at zero degrees Capricorn, an entire new beginning, by sign and degree! Time to let go and move on! Since Capricorn cherishes archetypes and reveres what’s time tested and true, keep those sacred reminders tucked away. Give due respect, renew your vows. Honor them with a new worthy approach.
Sun, Moon and Mercury sextile Neptune in Pisces, planet and sign of Spirit and Magic! Nurturing words, tender insights, mercy and empathy gentle the Soul. Listening becomes an embracing of difference. The heart sings a song and dreams can really come true.
Winter Solstice, Yule, New Moon (truly the long darkest night), and season shift. Winter Solstice official SUNDAY Dec 21 at 3:30 PM Pacific; New Moon Zero degrees Capricorn (5 Planet Stellium) at 5:36 PM Pacific! That period of time there will be WORLD WIDE MEDITATION. For some it will be an Initiation and for many an immersion into a deeper understanding of Capricorn. May the Highest be done. Blessed be.
FULL WOLF MOON Portal! First Moon of 2015!
Sunday Jan 4 at 8:53 PM Pacific – 14 Cancer 31
GRAND SQUARE IN CARDINAL SIGNS! It’s tight, 12,13, 14 degrees. There are the four squares at the corners and the oppositions crossing diagonally corner to corner. Moon and Sun make the primary opposition, being the Full Moon formation. This one has a little more kick than usual because the Sun in Capricorn has just been with Pluto. Secrets are known, maybe had some sex, monies discussed, vested with power, healing given and received. All is still not known, but the potential has been scanned and is being readied. Trust and sharing has been livened. Or if it’s called for, suspicion admitted. Time to shed the denial, the Phoenix to rise.
Moon in Cancer is going crazy wanting to protect, but is a tad too far away to interfere. Watch and wait. Feel and offer support as soon as possible. Or, just let go. Take a few days off and see what shakes. Children are of prime concern because some are too young to make all their decisions on their own. Foresee as much as you can. Fortify them, then pray they choose well on their own. Let them know about inappropriate behaviors, their own or others’, to move away from jeopardy as soon as their radar alerts them. Not a time to make loans or invest in too-good-to-be-true ventures.
Moon in Cancer, it’s own sign, opposite Sun/Pluto in Capricorn. Moon is intuitional and can read secretive Pluto. Sometimes. Pluto knows what Moon wants. Sun in Capricorn knows there are undercurrents and may be embarrassed, may avoid getting into the fray. Getting to work may be their antidote. Moon may ask for more than can be given. Pluto may play this scenario with intent to heal in the long term. So, as possible, get the cards on the table. It may seem insolvable at first, but stay with good will. Listen to differences without judgment as well as you can. And some of it is the Serenity Prayer ~ give us the serenity to accept what cannot be changed, the courage to change what can be changed, and the wisdom to know the one from the other.
Cardinal Signs make new beginnings! They are leaders. Aries is the primal fire starter, alive with ideas they instantly get going! Cancer cares for us. No one has to tell them to. Chicken soup appears. Libras can’t help themselves; they have to meet you and make relationships community wide. Capricorn works by nature. They are Builders, ascend the heights, are intrepid without thinking about it.
This Grand Square is crisscrossed by the Libra/Aries Nodes, with Uranus in Aries at the South Node! Uranus in Aries is a fire starter of ideas like none other. At the South Node it brings ideas forward from the Past, but in new clothes! They are the same, but more of the current times, even of the future! it may take some adjusting to not shy away, but to blink your eyes a few times, then jump on it! Flip these across to Libra and your ideas will be finessed in finery and taken as valuable consorts to ideas already on the books or proposed. All of a sudden, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts!
Chiron at 13 Pisces is in a Bow pattern with Moon and Sun, that’s trine the Moon, sextile the Sun. Chiron suffers sometimes, especially in Pisces, there are matters of the Spirit/Soul. Disappointments with ones we believed in, the World. Sometimes the Light is thin. As we become Teachers, we see how much it takes to be one and we start to understand. As we go through centuries, aeons of time, we see how much change there has been and that it is no snap of the fingers. Just like from being a child to becoming a parent ourselves. And one day we do healings, another step of Being. We make relationships, do the business of life.
In harmony with Moon, Chiron resolves feelings that got tangled, jammed to a standstill in a weeping puddle. Pisces is the most delicately tuned of all the water signs. Cancer remembers and often retains the residue of old hurts. Pisces sees your pain and the pain of the one who caused the pain. They sometimes can dissolve and wash away the chain of the generations. A gift beyond measure.
In step with Sun, Chiron sees the indwelling need to be in the Heart. Capricorn has a sense of duty, sometimes one’s family’s heritage, sometimes to one’s natural own self, sometimes divine. If we are falsely living the expectations of another, Pisces sensitizes us to this discrepancy, sometimes making it impossible to continue. What a relief. This good aspect also shows us initial possibilities to help us start anew. All it may take is a small change that was right there for the taking all along. You can do it. If you are all alone, give yourself a hug and start living that pure purpose.
Mercury conjunct Venus in Aquarius sextile Saturn newly in Sagittarius! With a twinkle in the eye, a lift of the eyebrow, a shake of the head, a silly snort, sing out that crazy idea! Sure, some will laugh. Why not? When they get over it, get down to business and tell them why it’s better than sliced bread! Aquarius likes a little kink in their coffee, and Saturn in Sag has a tad of devilishness behind that get-it-done don’t’-mess-with-me facade. But do tell why your idea will work for more than 5 minutes, no matter how entertaining it is! Aquarius loves world changers, and Sag will travel the world with it! Everyone will be a little intoxicated with Saturn newly lifted out of Scorpio. Sagittarius is famous for its sense of well being and optimism! Time to ordain the new program!
We are having the first taste of Saturn square Neptune in Pisces. It will be exact first of three Nov 26, 2015. We’ve been talking about Chiron in Pisces. Neptune is the planet of Pisces. Saturn rules bedrock and ice; Neptune rules the ocean and tides, constant change. Sometimes it is out of control and Saturn may help stabilize. Sometimes it operates on whim while Saturn wants reason. Saturn finds out there doesn’t always need to be a reason, it just is. Neptune’s intuition can save Saturn’s bacon let alone hours of work. In some ways they aren’t so far apart. Neptune is becoming one with God; Saturn does honor by being the planet of Spiritual Law, Divine Order, the GateKeeper, Guardian. See more!
Father Sun will be conjunct the Harp Star, Vega, the brightest star in the constellation Lyra. It is the second brightest star in the northern celestial hemisphere! An old time astrologer wrote ‘It is said to give an harmonious, poetical and developed nature, fond of music and apt in science and art, but inclined to theft.’ Woops. So keep your pinkies to yourself and no hacking! It is also said to be linked to magic, divine spells, and charisma! Another says ‘Vega provides a multiplicity of opportunity. Our bright star with Lyra’s brightest star just may make it happen!
Lady Moon is conjunct Sirius, the Dog (WOLF) Star, The Chieftain’s Star, the brightest star in our night sky! If you have a clear night, you WILL be able to see them close together depending on your location and time of night! Auspiciously, Sirius rising signaled the flooding of the Nile, guaranteeing the land’s fertility! Some say it’s a star of success, can be on the extravagant side. With the Moon, it is said to bring success in business, good health, beneficial changes in home or business. It heightens the beneficial qualities of the planet it is affiliated with! Star expert Bernadette Brady (Venus/Jupiter Aquarius) says gain is far more than expected — the mundane becoming sacred. I hope it is your good fortune to have it well placed in your birth chart and that this Full Wolf Moon is well connected with your chart too!
Time to step into the Portal, across the Threshold…perfect time to walk a labyrinth in the MoonLight!
The next New Moon is on January 20, starting Aquarius! It will be the fourth of Five in a row that start their signs, 2014 Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn, and 2015 Aquarius and Pisces, all at ZERO degrees!
