Pisces - sign of Spiritualism, Buddha shows the WayThis will be our first inner planet retrograde of 2013. Mercury started into the Retrograde pattern Feb 8. What you do, think about starting during this period, Feb 8 to 23, will not likely come out as planned. During the retrograde be prepared for alteration. Have point, counterpoint options in mind, accept and integrate new ideas. Though it may seem like setbacks, the ultimate results after Mercury directs Mar 17, will prove to have been worth your efforts.

The retrograde spans 5 to 19 degrees of Pisces. If you have planets in those degrees, particularly, in the other mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius, pick your battles, stay with long term priorities. Pisces isn’t generally too hard and fast, in fact, can be downright slippery, vapor through your fingers, mist by your window. But their intuition is tops. They usually don’t want to talk as much as Gemini, but will listen if they have to, picking off points that strike them as important. Gemini could talk them right into it! Virgo will probably write it all down, check for cost effectiveness, to be sure. They are certain Pisces will forget, and they might, but it’s easy to remind them. Sagittarius and Pisces could get a long way from home together before either realizes there is no plan and they forgot the dog needs walking. Or maybe Sag sees the way, cheering Pisces on, Pisces doing what they never would have done by themselves! Both could have passions but not want the same thing.

Pisces may long for that new sound system, a boat, a voyage, acting in a film! Dreams can be big and art magical with fantasy – faeries, aliens, wizards! Wines from exotic places, with names of tease and torque, entice romance. Swimming, surfing, wet your whethers, it’s like meditation in the glistening sea of life…. Whatever your pleasure, what you do, how you do it, is likely to go through some form of transformation. Mercury retrogrades gently in Pisces, or like a tsunami! But do pay attention, because some significant changes will be so subtle you don’t realize what has happened until you are well into them.

As always, if you are purchasing, be sure you have warranties and returns are possible. Have people date and sign when contract changes are made. Only invest what you could comfortably lose; don’t start unless you are able to happily pay for changes that may come. You might want to put off moving, buying property, renovating the pool house, changing jobs, building that boat, unless you are an expert.

May Spirit guide your Soul. Peace.

GrandMother Moon - Watcher, Hunter, Nurturer, Bringer of Cycles

Monday Feb 25, Midday Full Moon 7 Virgo 24 at 12:26 PM Pacific

This Moon is in the time of the 44 Day Stellium, building to 6/7 Planets in Pisces on our Mar 11, 2013 Pisces NEW MOON!  This Full Moon will unfold like a flower blooming, and be vented through the Moon in Virgo, the sign of finding the right places for things for their most potent production!  This one won’t leave things entirely to mere chance!  There IS Divine Order!

We have 5 planets in Pisces this Full Moon with Venus going into Pisces just 5 1/2 hours later at 6:03 PM, making it SIX!  The Sun has already crossed the Pisces planet Neptune, bringing Light to otherwise dark shadows and spiritual visions!  It is now carrying forward the insights gained Monday through Wednesday Feb 18 to 20. It’s next Light station is its annual conjunction with Chiron, the ‘wounded Healer/Teacher on the 27th.  We will be ever more aware of what pain we have carried and will see ways to clear it, share our way of moving beyond it, through our personal conduct and teachings.  Joining with Mercury, retrograding back to meet him, the Sun will conjunct exact on Mar 4, illuminating ideas that wouldn’t have been realized but for seeing them from this different perspective.  Rather than the faster planet catching up, each planet is moving toward the other!

Mars will leave Pisces, enter its own sign Aries, before the Sun can reach it while in Pisces.  Mars is virtually streaking along, and the Sun just barely makes the conjunction with Mars before they both leave Aries in April.  In fact, if you allow a 7 degree orb for this pair, they start in potent closeness in Aries on Vernal Equinox, the day the Sun enters Aries!  They hold this active conjunction for 28 days!  This is important, because the intentions you generate at the Full Moon can be carried forward and enacted given the right percolation and brewing, then pouring your energy into the right chalice!  Be your own champion!

Jupiter in Gemini will be within a mere 5 minutes of space at right angles, TSquare, to this Full Moon!  It will give voice to Pisces, amplify Pisces perceptions, teach the insights.  Jupiter will carry forward Virgo’s system with good will, keep the project alive with seeds of further ideas, keep the primary intention.  This is not the time to be opinionated, but to observe and open to broader opportunities, ways of healing, a coordination of mind and matter.

Virgo Moon will trine Pluto, sextile Saturn in the afternoon and evening.  These are serious companions, wanting more than ever to do what is good in the long term.  Do what needs to be done now, jot down notes of what you see to do to carry on and complete the valuable process.  Steady on.

Happy Birthdays, Pisceans!

John Steinbeck, Feb 27, 1902, was born the same day as Elizabeth Taylor, both of them Sun and Mars in Pisces and Moons in Scorpio.

John Steinbeck, Feb 27, 1902, was born the same day as Elizabeth Taylor, both of them Sun and Mars in Pisces and Moons in Scorpio. He had a lot of planets in writing signs and won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, 1940, and 22 years later, the Nobel Prize in Literature, 1962. Very different than the Academy Awards. Though a famous actress, people felt sorry for Taylor with her 8 marriages and many illnesses; Steinbeck felt sorry for the poor, the working man. In 1939, Grapes of Wrath, Steinbeck’s courageous, passionate, most famous novel “was a phenomenon on the scale of a national event. It was publicly banned and burned by citizens, it was debated on national talk radio; but above all, it was read.” In 1998, the Modern Library ranked The Grapes of Wrath tenth on its list of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century. Live your passion, and keep the Faith!

Pisces,
Never to be Underestimated, ALWAYS to be Adored!!

Mama Nature may have no mercy. Tides happen, if only tsunamis could be captured. Surfing is exultant; being at sea with nothing but you and the vastitudes is the finest surrender, entire peace. You can walk out of an ashram, there are people around, but being far out at sea, it’s just you and…. For many modern folk, meditation is a good second. Solitude, a valued and needed Pisces state, gives opportunity to rest, restore equilibrium, tune back in with accuracy. Saints through the centuries have often reported more – a becoming one with the great Spirit, an ecstasy, love beyond words, a state of adoration. A Pisces with a cause simply can’t be held back. Spirit wins. There is a profound giving, every breath. Dreams guide the way. Often it is inspired by an adored loved ones needs.

Local Pisceans may be found working for a nonprofit, the Church, the yoga shop, a bar, any naval installation, the coast guard. They might own the aquarium store with specialty in salt water fish, the seafood restaurant, the winery. Hangouts might be the harbor, water sports shops. They are often passionate about footwear – from surf booties to hiking boots to elegant heels and hose! Helping institutions call to them – schools, hospitals, even prisons.

There is a fine balance to be mastered – whether to be the victim, addict, or to conquer the beast and serve with all your Soul. The battle is not always won, so please be kind. For some people to barely maintain indicates huge success. The compassion and insights of suffering often lead to macabre and grim humor, but it indicates a deep understanding, a capacity to be there. Walking on the edge of the abyss and to not be taken, recovery if you fell, show immense strength. The ones who need our love the most are often the least attractive.

Try to muster courage and adore your Pisces children. Their withdrawal, seeming over sensitivity, is not a rejection of you, but maybe you do need to modify the intensity of your approach. They often have extra sensitive hearing and being louder – voice or actions – only shuts them down. Be extra mindful of praise they need for what they are proud of, not just what they do that makes you feel pride for you. Let them have quiet time, but not isolate. Help them see what they can do. Some of them swim like little fish! Others love their camera, their computer. Help them be with others, mentors, that will encourage and celebrate their abilities including being psychic! If this was never done for you, do it for yourself! Your contributions to art, music, sheer beauty, makes our hearts sing!

Now, for your undying interest in relationships! Scorpio mathematician Gunter Sachs conducted a large-scale study of sun signs and found statistically significant results! His studies have been reasonably criticized, so more work needs to be done. But I have found that even improperly executed research often has kernels of truth in it. So, this is for your consideration, to inspire your thoughtfulness….

Pisces men most frequently marry and are least likely to divorce Scorpio women. They are least likely to marry Virgos and Libras. As for who they are most likely to divorce, there was no statistically significant result for any sign.

Pisces women are also more likely to marry Scorpio men than those of any other sign, while avoiding Sagittarians most often. Capricorn is the sign most likely to last the distance, with a lower-than-average divorce rate. There was no statistically significant result for which sign Pisces women are most likely to divorce.
